What's not to like, a delicious Christmas dinner, pint of stout and great evening with good friends. 3 courses and I was totally stuffed... But you could get a smaller portion of you wanted.

So many great ales at this beautiful pub nestled in one of England’s most picturesque villages. I think they had 10 ales and 4 ciders, I couldn’t get through them all, but I everything I tasted was phenomenal. Which includes the food too. Great comfort food to line the stomach.

Dissapointing ,Saturday lunchtime not busy ,salmon and prawn special selected, arrived without the included saute potato, we ask where is the saute potato 10 minutes later roast potatoes arrive roast potatoes??

Love visiting the Standard when I can, you will always get a dam good pint of the black stuff, nice chilled Guinness and to top that the chicken wings are the best.
