I had a really great experience with this shop. I brought my PC in because it wasn’t booting at all — no peripherals were responding even though the fans were spinning.
Initially, they diagnosed the issue as a faulty processor, which made sense based on the symptoms. They replaced it, but after testing further, we realized the problem was actually also coming from the motherboard. I really appreciated how transparent they were throughout the whole process — they kept me informed at every step and clearly explained what they were seeing and why.
What stood out the most is that they didn’t just stop at the initial fix. They continued troubleshooting properly to make sure the root cause was fully identified, instead of rushing or giving a partial solution.
On top of that, they were incredibly helpful even after I got back home, guiding me further to make sure everything was working correctly. That level of support is honestly rare.
Very professional, honest, and genuinely helpful. I would definitely recommend them to anyone having PC issues.

I asked the computer shop to build me my dream gaming pc.They delivered with flying colours! Not only is it better priced than the bigger online companies, it has also been customised to look exactly as i wanted.The staff are friendly and also experienced gamers so were able to tailer my rig to the games i enjoy which are online AAA fps titles.Thanks TRC 👍🏼

Jamie at RCS got me out of a corner this morning. I was on a very tight deadline and when I logged on my home screen looked different and I couldn't find the tabs I needed. Jamie immediately took control over my laptop remotely and sorted it in less than five minutes. Just brilliant - no questions asked - just great service.

I brought my computer here for repair and was told that it couldn’t be fixed, and that the parts needed would cost more than buying a new computer.
However, I later took the same computer to another repair shop and they managed to fix it for around £120.
My computer is worth about £1,200, so I was quite surprised that it was considered not worth repairing here. I hope the diagnosis can be more accurate in the future.

Of course, the staff all feel the negative impact of your review and obviously feel upset they appear to have let a customer down. It would be more helpful to us if you had called us or popped in to have a chat. Also, I have been through the last 6 months repairs and I have no receipt for an evaluation / repair in the name of Patrick that would match to a device that we might have considered beyond economical repair.
Perhaps it was an on-counter repair evaluation and that you couldn’t leave your laptop with us, therefore we may have had limited time to conclude. There are also some faults such as reflowing chips back to the motherboard which we don’t consider worthwhile, as the repair will probably only last a limited time. Or some of the casing parts for laptops can be difficult to obtain, so we find we can’t always offer a repair.
Finally, our team does strive very hard to get every repair we carry out right, but understandably some can come back in. We are very approachable in these matters and are always happy to listen and learn.

Amazing service
Took my laptop in after failing to resolve a problem myself connecting to the internet. They advised me of the standard costs to fix a software or hardware issue (which were very reasonable) and helpfully told me of a cheaper solution (dongle) for consideration. First however they offered to take a look and managed to quickly resolve a software problem without needing to book in for a service/repair. I was delighted and would happily have paid the service cost - but they declined to accept any payment and thanked me for calling in. Amazing (dare I say) old fashioned service. Will certainly return if I have any future issues.

I love this shop. The staff are friendly and really helpful. I went into today with a problem with my email not loading up on my iPhone and the guy sorted it out in a jiffy. It’s service like this thst keeps me coming back.

I honestly can't say enough positive things about The Real Computer Shop.
The staff are phenomenal, extremely helpful and always happy to take their time to inform and educate you in whatever you want to purchase whilst being happy, friendly and clearly interested in what they do.
The value for money I got for my new computer, screen, keyboard, mouse and sound system was beyond anything I've ever experienced and I've been an avid computer gamer for 30 years.
I traveled from Liverpool to Sheffield after contacting them over the phone as I was so blown away by their professionalism and the pricing of their computers not to mention the time they took too explain everything to me from how much RAM it was worth getting to completely explaining the benefits of different cooling systems, their attentiveness was second to none
Stephen who I spoke to on the phone and met in the shop had a lovely attitude and was most helpful even when I felt that I was bothering them to much he assured me that its completely understandable when purchasing a computer, nothing was a trouble to him.
I can't thank these guys enough, my new computer is a complete and utter beast, quieter than any PC I've ever owned and all of the accessories are top quality and way beyond what I was expecting.

15/10 def would travel to Sheffield to get a computer again <3.
