I had an absolutely fantastic whale shark tour! Karim drove us safely every step of the way, making me feel completely at ease, and Syaf’s guidance was incredible—knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. Seeing these majestic creatures up close was truly awe-inspiring! Even the 12-hour car and ferry ride was worth it for such a unique experience. It would be amazing if the tour included more information about the whale sharks themselves—their behavior and endangered status—because that would have made the experience even more meaningful. Overall, an unforgettable adventure that I highly recommend!
Wij hebben de tour geboekt om vanuit Lombok naar Sumbawa te reizen om te snorkelen met de walvishaaien. Het is een erg lange rit die onderbroken word door de veerboot. Maar dat is het zeker waard! Ihwan was onze driver/gids en heeft ons opgehaald in Singiggi. In Kuta hebben we nog iemand opgehaald en van daaruit naar Sumbawa. Ihwan is een zeer prettige driver/gids! We hebben een gezellige rit gehad. Zelf houden wij erg van dieren spotten in hun natuurlijke omgeving. Dikke 10 voor The Langkah Travel, ze doen er alles aan om je een unieke ervaring te geven. Ze houden ook contact met de vissersboten van te voren, zodat je niet met 100 anderen in het water ligt. En gaan dus naar een vissersboot waar het rustig is en waar er whalesharks zijn, het blijft natuurlijk natuur dus het kan ook altijd dat je ze niet ziet of maar kort. Wij hebben 2 uur met ze mogen snorkelen, ze bleven om ons heen zwemmen. In het begin waren we met 3 anderen in het water en later toen wij bijna weg gingen kwam er nog anderen snorkelen. We hadden zelf een actioncam, maar Ihwan heeft ook nog mooie filmpjes gemaakt voor ons. Wat een unieke ervaring!!

Whalesharks Salah Bey 😍😍😍!
We booked the tour to travel from Lombok to Sumbawa to snorkel with the whale sharks. It is a very long ride that is interrupted by the ferry. But it's definitely worth it! Ihwan was our driver/guide and picked us up in Singiggi. In Kuta we picked up someone else and from there to Sumbawa. Ihwan is a very pleasant driver/guide! We had a nice ride. We ourselves love spotting animals in their natural environment. Big 10 for The Langkah Travel, they do everything to give you a unique experience. They also keep in touch with the fishing boats in advance, so you are not in the water with 100 others. And so go to a fishing boat where it is quiet and where there are whalesharks, it is of course nature so it is always possible that you do not see them or only briefly. We were allowed to snorkel with them for 2 hours, they kept swimming around us. In the beginning we were with 3 others in the water and later when we almost left there were others snorkeling. We had an actioncam ourselves, but Ihwan also made some nice videos for us. What a unique experience!!
The tour guide driver and photographer were great and attentive. However the aftersale service was bad. We paid 3.9mil for the whole trip for 2 person with photography service provide, but we have to keep chasing them for the videos and photos and in the end the upload quality was poor and they did not respond to my message or intend to improve it. This is such a scam and we purposely paid this price to record a good memory but in the end we did not receive the quality photos or videos .

However, you started contacting us from the second day, and we received messages almost every day afterward. Even so, we always responded politely and kept following up with our photographer to make sure your files were delivered.
All the photo and video links have been shared with you, including the GoPro files you requested at the end. We were also surprised that the number of GoPro files was fewer than expected, but that’s exactly what we received from the boatman and the field team.
Our videographer is an external vendor, and while they usually meet the 3–4-day promise, sometimes delays do occur.
We truly did our best to assist and communicate throughout the process, and we’re very sorry if the final upload quality didn’t meet your expectations. We appreciate your feedback—it helps us improve our service and coordination with our photo and video vendors in the future.

We used The Langkah Travel for a day trip to Pink Beach including snorkelling at lesser known Gili Islands and stopping off at other locations. Our tour guide Mizan was so friendly and knowledgeable. The trip was perfect if you want to avoid crowds and enjoy the amazing scenery!

My partner and I had a really great time doing the 3D, 2N package to tour Moyo Island and dive with whale sharks. Ian our guide was so kind and professional and efficient - we felt we were in very good hands! He was very on time and took us to amazing lunch/dinner spots.

The Mojo trip and whaleshark trip was perfect, our guide Syaf was more than we could imagine. We went to two snorkeling sites and to Mata Jitu waterfall, and then the next day to whaleshark trip. Also got a lot of photos during the trip. Because of the hospitality of the locals we tried a lot of local dishes and ate one of the best fish in our life! I highly recommend the Langhak travel and guide Syaf. Sending love to our Sumbawa family ❤️

We booked a one-day private tour to Pink Beach and the nearby islands, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our stay in Lombok.The day started with pickup from our hotel and a scenic drive to the harbor. From there, we had a private boat and visited several stunning spots, each with breathtaking views.Our guide/driver, Dany, was very friendly, helpful, and made sure we were comfortable throughout the day. The snorkeling equipment and boat were well prepared, and lunch was simple but tasty.We brought along our baby and young child, and they both enjoyed the trip plus the calm boat ride, the beaches, and the relaxed pace made it family-friendly.The Pink Beach itself was beautiful and the sand has a soft blush tone, especially when the sunlight hits at the right angle. It may not be “bright pink” like on Instagram filters, but it felt authentic, peaceful, and wonderfully uncrowded.Overall, this trip gave us the perfect mix of adventure, relaxation, and natural beauty. Highly recommended, especially for families who want to experience Lombok’s quieter, untouched side!

We did a 5 days Tour with langkah travel crossing Sumbawa from east to West. We were two families with 5 children. We just had a wonderful time, Sumbawa is such a beautiful Island with incredibly friendly people and stunning landscapes! The whaleshark experience was awesome, we spent more thane one hour in the water with those friendly giants. And our trips to Satonda and Moyo island were really cool. Our guide Syaf was extremely friendly and helpful and explained us a lot about local culture, people, languages, customs, plants, animals, politics,... You could really feel that he loves Sumbawa and wants visitors to get to know it. We would definitely do it again!

2D1N Whale Shark trip to Sumbawa
I booked this trip with my daughter who is 14. The arrangements were straightforward via WhatsApp and Ari provided good communication. The company were flexible with pick up and drop off location. The trip was well-organised and good value for money. Our driver and guide was Iwan. He was truly exceptional. He spoke excellent English and was very kind, friendly and knowledgeable. Iwan guided us perfectly and was able to make sure we had everything we needed. When we finally arrived at Saleh Bay (it is a VERY long journey!) Iwan made sure we were comfortable on our boat ready for the journey to see the sharks. We were there first, and able to spend beautiful time in the ocean alone with a huge whale shark, just me, Iwan, my daughter and the shark. We had our own equipment, but Iwan also took footage on his GoPro which he was happy to share later. When finished, we went back to our hotel to shower and change before completing the return journey. All in all, I would highly recommend this trip. It does take a long time to get there, but Sumbawa is very different to Lombok or Bali, much less developed, so it was really interesting to see some of this island. Iwan found us some great places to eat and we were able to enjoy fantastic local food too.
