I was pleasantly surprised,family run and extremely courteous on entering the premises. They had time for you whether you’re buying or not and are willing to offer expert advice with you and also listen to your concerns. Excellent selection of plants, fish and dry goods for the tropical section .
I will definitely be returning regularly.

The best small big tropical fish shop in sussex excellent stock and some beautiful odd ball everything from Discus to killie fish good stock of dry goods to .Alan and Elliott Dad and Son our Great Friendly kind and patient .Alan and Elliot very knowledgeable and passionate about their fish met Phil for the first time yesterday another kind and very knowledgeable Friendly man very interesting talk to Him good stock of we'll rooted plants .stenka frozen discus food plus allowance other frozen and live food .so if you want all this this is the tropical fish shop to go .the 👌This is the best tropical fish shop around Alan and Hes Son Elliott are brilliant Honest kind very knowledgable grown very fond of them over the years and would trust them awith anything they are not just in it for the money they have a real passion for all things fish and aquatic plants that's why i genuinely think they are the best freshwater tropical fish shop around 😀

I have been keeping fish for more than 45 years, this is the best bar none fish store I have come across in the South of England.
All of the tanks are pristine & all of the fish are well fed & healthy. The selection of fish for sale is well off the usual track with many rarely seen or slightly specialist fish offered. I am super happy with the fish I have bought & they are really healthy. I honestly have not ever seen better maitained shop tanks & will certainley never buy fresh water fish from elsewhere whilst Fish Barn are still in business & maintaining this standard.
If you live in Sussex|Surrey|Kent|London, use Maidenhead Aquatics for consumables if you must, but get yer butt down to creepy & buy your fish from these guys, I guarantee you won't regret it!

the staff are unbelievably friendly and knowledgable. their way about fishkeeping is so delicate and hands on. they really care about the health of the fish and won’t just sell it to you for the sake of the business. they want the best for everyone and all their livestock. traveled 45 mins and was more than worthit :)

After some disappointing experiences with other companies I contacted The Fish Barn about purchasing Orange Venezuelan Cory's. They were really prompt with reply and sent me photos of their current stock.
I purchased a group of 5 to go with the 2 that I already had.
Gorgeous healthy stock. Arrived so well packaged. Each fish had their own bag and all were double bagged. Now in the tank and doing what Cory's do.
Overall, stock healthy, packaging and delivery top notch & fabulous customer service. I wouldn't hesitate to make my future purchases with The Fish Barn

My little boy and I have been going to the Fish Barn for months now and we absolutely love it. The fish we have purchased are very healthy and beautiful. There a so many varieties there too! The owners are professional, friendly and have always been happy to share any aquatic knowledge/advice as I was new to looking after fish tanks and Endler Guppies. Their selection of plants are also excellent. Highly recommend!

A really great family run business. Alan and Elliott are very experienced, knowledgeable, responsible and helpful. They have a great quarantining procedure which means the fish are some of the happiest and healthiest you can find in any shop. I’ve never had a problem with a fish I’ve bought from them, and even though it’s not the biggest shop they always have whatever I’m looking.
They ordered a custom tank for me and their large selection of plants meant I could get some really good variety in there. I would definitely recommend the Fish Barn to anyone with a freshwater aquarium, it’s definitely worth the trip.

I’ve kept fish on and off for many years, I recently started on a new tank so came to take a look. I’m glad I did, as what I had planned wasn’t viable, and I’d taken bad advice from another shop. These guys are so knowledgable, and the tanks are immaculate, genuinely the best kept fish shop I’ve seen. Their plants are also the healthiest I’ve bought. Not only that, I had a car issue and they went out of their way to call a friend of theirs for me too, so my tank is healthy, and my car is working again 😆 fantastic!
