Always great food and personal service...I have gone to most of there locations all over Florida and New York...The only one I did not like was the one close to Grand Central Station by the United Nations in east midtown....the staff was friendly but the service was not the usual standards and the food was the fist time I had actually left all my food which was not pleasant. Other than that all the other locations 444 Brickell Miami, Naples, Boca Raton, Ft. Lauderdale, Orlando, Sarasota, Paramus, And Midtown Manhattan are right on point the service, the personal touch for special occasions, and of course those amazing steaks with my favorite Courvasior Creme Sauce and their extensive wine cellar choices never disappoints. They are a huge favorite especially my beloved Brickell location.
Sea bass was a bit overdone on the edges but the staff were very professional and polite. Bread basket was fresh and chowder delicious.
It was busy but it was obviously everyone comes well dressed or in business attire. Truth is I was om my way home from a long day at jury duty and just wanted to sit and eat. I would plan and do it again
We came as walk-ins and were very grateful that we were seated right away. Our server, Maria, was very sweet; however, overall the wait staff was not at the level expected of a fine dining establishment. Their English was quite poor. The service itself was excellent, and thanks to Maria for her food recommendations.
One thing I would point out is that the hostesses do not seem to have a proper dress code for a place like this—it’s really not appropriate to see a hostess wearing UGG boots and a gray T-shirt.
I'm a huge Capital Grille fan and tend to go out of my way to visit the closest one whenever I am travelling. I've visited locations across the United States and the one in Mexico and have to say this is the worst one I've ever visited.
The first time I had a bad experience here, I considered it a one-off since the Capital Grille is usually 10/10. But after giving it a second go, I now see this location just isn't living up to the name. Service is astoundingly subpar - long wait to be seated despite having reservations, staff shouting at each other across the restaurant, no brandy accompanying the lobster bisque, they didn't even make sure we had cutlery when our food was served, and then generally hovered around waiting for us to finish eating.
There won't be a third time to be disappointed. If you're looking for somewhere high-class for a special meal, the Capital Grille is usually a good pick JUST NOT THIS ONE!
disappointed, The front desk James was rude. He exploited the our weakness of needing the table quickly as we need to rush to a show. We called to confirm that we can be seated earlier but we have to wait and drink at the bar for 50 minutes, and then be seated to a table at the entrance where the winter cold air keep on blowing. I would have happily accepted that table if he offered that table to me when I got there an hour before but trying to hustle customers are not ethical.
Visited on a very packed Saturday night. The ambience was elegant and I was certain this would be a quality experience. Ordered the ribeye
with mashed potatoes and spinach. Everything was overly
salted which ruined the meal.
The wine was not chilled and tasted watery. Service was adequate. My friend ordered the lamp chops which had a terrible
topping and were overcooked.
She could barely eat some of them. We are not people who create a fuss so we paid the bill and left. For the prices, the food should be much better. My friend mentioned the Stamford
restaurant served better food.
Will not be back!
