I had always planned on switching out the pickups in my Mexican strat. But after seeing James Buddy Rogers play And hearing the tone coming out of his Strat, I knew I had to find out what pickups he was using. Well, now that I have his handmade B10 pickups installed, I can’t believe the transformation in my tone, in all 5 switch positions! It’s that classic Strat tone I’ve been striving to hear in my guitar for years. I couldn’t be happier! I highly recommend BTone pickups! James took the time to go through with me what pickups would best suit my needs. He’s extremely knowledgable and has a variety of pickups for every tone you could desire! Definitely check them out.

I was gifted a set of strat pickups from my good buddy Hatzic Steve, and knew I had to get it right as I knew what I was looking for, just needed to find the right ones. Through getting in touch with Btone pickups and explaining to James what I was looking for, he recommended I try the B10s. I encourage any Strat player to give these a shot. Wow! I was apprehensive at first about them having a lower DC resistance rating that they wouldn’t have the guts, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. They scream when you want them too, with amazing sustain, but also clean right up, super bright and glassy, and a surprising amount of sweetness! They really cover the whole spectrum for me at least, a blues and country player. I didn’t want to review right away until I’ve played it on stage a couple of times but this guitar looks to be my number one for most gigs moving forward. Absolutely love the B10s! I’ll be 100% going with Btone again in the future.

Recently installed B-Tone "juiced" pickups into my reissue '51 Nocaster. The pickup are much improved over the stock pickups. Sound guys notice the even tonal response and reduced 2K hertz spike. This is now my #1 guitar. Thanks B-Tone!

Was searching for a Canadian alternative to primarily US based boutique pickup manufacturers I have typically purchased from when I happened upon BTone. The company origins and foundations resonated with me and inspired my purchase of a set of the B43S Juiced for a full refurb of my first electric circa 1982. Very happy with the quality and sound ! very balanced and outstanding clarity! so much so that a tele build on my bench changed its single humbucker intent to a traditional pickup configuration so I could purchase a set of the B43 Juiced tele pickups which I'm excited to install. Currently eyeing the upcoming split P and J bass pickup offerings for a PJ build I also have on the bench ... very happy find, best wishes to you and your team in 2026 !

I've had the pleasure of mixing James on both live shows and his latest album. His BTone pickups have some of the fattest strat tones I've ever heard. There's so much delicious, responsive stuff going on. If you're a tone chaser (is there a player who isn't?) you should definitely reach out and work with James, he'll dial you in. From the very start, James (the mastermind behind BTone) made the process feel personal and collaborative. He took the time to dive deep into my tonal preferences, favorite players, and current setup, crafting a pickup spec for each position on my Strat that felt tailor-made. What really stood out was the build process. James kept me in the loop every step of the way, sharing updates, photos, and even videos so I could witness the magic unfold. It was more than just a transaction—it was a shared project. The pickups arrived quickly, securely packed, and ready to drop in. Swapping out my old setup (two Fender noiseless and a Seymour Duncan Hot Rails in the bridge) was seamless. The moment I plugged in, I could hear and feel the difference. My clean tones are now stunningly clear, and I can effortlessly dial in everything from shimmering cleans to gritty crunch just by rolling back the volume and tone.
