Took the tiling course with Pete. Excellent! Great teacher, learned so much, and in a fun and supportive environment. What I love most is the approach that we learn best by doing, so the set-up ensures you get practical, hands-on experience with tiling (or whatever course you take), even including demolition of all your hard work at the end! :) Highly recommend BTC for DIY enthusiasts, I will certainly be back for more courses!

Great course - I loved that we went straight into the practical part, and the instructor (Billy) was brilliant. Given that I work in digital and I have no building skills, I was very pleased with the support throughout the week, the practical projects and the huge progress made by the end of the. For the price paid, it's a no brainer...take it.

Good centre to build your building skills. I done the multi Course package Plastering, Tiling, Plumbing & Kitchen fitting. Very more confident in the bathroom & kitchens now. They even do electrical courses I am thinking about & Exterior courses like Roofing & bricklaying. I have my own experience in Carpentry however I did pop in the Carpentey course & saw what they was doing & it looked great. I told them to get more space & do even more like Painting & Decorating & Floor fitting but I don’t know how convenient that will be for them. But yh overall centre is 10 out of 10! they sell pie too 😂

The plastering course is all hands-on and gives real-life experience. Would recommend this course to anyone who is looking to refurb property and to lead on to maybe doing this as a business. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our instructor was great.

I could never recommend this centre enough!!! I attended 4 electrical courses there more than 2 years ago. Mike and Richard are legends !! Looking forward to attending another course there in the future.

I recently took the weekend Home Maintenance course led by experienced instructor, Martin. It was very well organised, easy to follow, and I learnt a wealth of useful skills to keep my home running smoothly. I look forward to trying one of their other courses in the future!

I was very satisfied with the carpentry course that I did. The course content was well presented and the tutor (Peter) was not only highly knowledgeable on the subject, but he was also very helpful and he ran the course at a very moderate pace so that everyone at all levels could keep up.

A fantastic experience all around. The course material is well presented, covered a huge amount of detail, and left plenty of time for people to ask questions, get clarification, or just have personal help. The staff were all very knowledgeable and created an environment where you felt encouraged to just get stuck in, no matter how much experience you had. Thoroughly recommended.

If I could give 6+ stars I would. Billy is an expert Plasteter, a fantastic teacher and a top guy! He taught me all the skills I need to confidently dive into plastering my whole house. I still need to hone my technique and develop further but the lessons I learned in just 5 days were invaluable. So many great little tips and time savers. He also taught us the importance of cleaning up along the way and timing the various stages of plastering to streamline the workflow. I would totally recommend anyone who wants to learn plastering (or any other building skills the centre offer) to look no further and sign up pronto! I’ve booked myself onto three more courses. Doing it myself is so much more satisfying. It will also save me money and keep me physically fit.

the bricklaying course at the Builder training centre in Waddon was awesome - Peter is a superb instructor gave us a ton of information in a fun and informative way - went beyond my expectation as a good diy-er already - learnt to build arches, chimney stack and 2-3 last days spend building an extension building - amazing I would happily tackle the brick and block part of an extension now - aside from that also taught us about foundations, footing and even business planning, costing a job and marketing your own business !!! course is above and beyond would recommend it to anyone we all had a super week from novice, young and old. The centre has this course down to a fine art and I was buzzing to get up in the morning !

Fantastic course - highly recommend, non patronising for a complete beginner. Newly found confidence from doing the course - will be back!
