I came here for my birthday and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. All of the staff I got the chance to speak with are really down to earth people. The drinks were great and the atmosphere is everything I was looking for. If you’re trying to decide between music venues I’ll make up your mind for you, this is where you wanna be. Thank you again to Archie, Nathan, Scott and of coarse the T Blues band for a phenomenal night!

Quick recovery from cyber fraud
Greetings from Randy Wayne, I live here in England, UK. I used my credit card to shop on a website online and the following week I discovered my card had been emptied, and it was done by the website owner who happens to be a scammer, i hurried to alienwizbot. and also I submitted the few details i was asked, they proceeded with tracking the scammer and finding the identity, it was all gotten and forwarded to me but all i truly need is my money, so ask him to retrieve my card funds and he did it but this time the money went to a private crypto wallet address i created in order to avoid tracks, for security reason i won't mention the specific amount. do contact an alien wizbot company for cyber fraud issues.

The website needs to be clearer about who is allowed in and when. I made a reservation for a Saturday, and it wasn't until I got a confirmation email that it was stated Saturday was only 21+.
I then canceled the reservation and booked for Sunday, since the website says "Minors are not allowed entry except on Sunday - Thursday with their parents." My partner and I expected we would be allowed in since we are 20 and NOT MINORS. We get there, and the man working the door does not ID the couple in front of us, then mansplains to me how the drinking age is 21+ in the United States.
We are very upset and disappointed. We were very excited to come here and had travelled far to come to NYC. You guys should really fix your website.

Thank you for taking the time to write this out. You are right, and this is our fault.
Our site spelled out the rule for minors but never addressed guests who are 18, 19, or 20, which left you with no way to know the policy before you arrived. We have since rewritten that section to state persons under 21, let us know if you saw it elsewhere and it was not fixed. That fix happened because of your review, so we owe you a real thank you for it.
We are sorry this cost you a night you traveled a long way for. Please email us at reservations@terrablues.com so we can make it right.

Amazing place with the best live Blues music in NYC. It's necessary to pay in cash to go in, but you can use a credit card for the orders. The atmosphere is outstanding, and the staff very attentive. A lot of music. There is no food, just small portions. The place is for listen (and watch) music and get some drinks.
It’s unfortunate that I have to use another account to respond, especially since you did not provide the email address you mentioned in your reply. On top of that, when I tried to verify your contact information through Instagram, I discovered that my account had been blocked (see picture below). At this point, it feels very targeted, leaving me with no other option than to respond here.
Regarding the payment, I completely stand by my statement. I specifically asked to see the itemized charges before signing because I wanted to understand exactly what I was being charged for. Instead, your bar manager asked me to simply sign. I clearly asked, “What am I signing for if I haven’t even seen the charges?” My card had already been charged before I was given a proper opportunity to review and approve the bill. Please review your camera footage rather than relying only on staff statements, because the version being presented by your team does not reflect what happened.
Regarding the tip situation, your bar manager did make a comment about the tip while I was at the bar. He then followed me to the entrance where I was speaking with the host who welcomed us at the beginning of the evening, and he repeated twice that I had not left a tip. Afterwards, he repeated the comment directly to me again, and I responded in French. This is not simply “informing a guest”; this is pressure and an inappropriate way to address a customer. A tip is optional, not mandatory. Your employees should be reminded that guests have the right to decide whether or not they want to leave one.
You can also see that other reviews on your page mention similar concerns regarding this type of behavior. Instead of automatically defending your staff, I would encourage you to look objectively at these repeated concerns and address them appropriately.
As for the comment made during the show, I would be more than happy to share exactly what was said. In 2026, questioning someone’s nationality based solely on the color of their skin is unacceptable. My friend and I were publicly singled out and mocked in front of the audience. Nationality has absolutely nothing to do with race, and comments like that should never be normalized or dismissed.
Your response relies heavily on what your employees “recall” or “confirmed,” but employees naturally tend to support each other. That is why I am asking you to review the available evidence objectively, including camera footage, rather than dismissing a customer’s experience.
I shared my experience honestly because this is exactly how it happened. I have nothing to gain from making false accusations. I expected basic respect, transparency, and accountability from your establishment.
We were looking forward to a pleasant evening of live blues music and a great atmosphere. Unfortunately, our experience started on a very negative note.
Shortly after we were seated, the performer on stage made what was presented as a joke, but it was clearly a racist remark. That immediately made us feel uncomfortable and set the tone for the rest of the evening.
Later, we ordered two drinks and were asked to leave our credit card at the bar. When it was time to pay, the bar manager processed the payment before I had the opportunity to review the bill or authorize the transaction myself. I found this completely inappropriate and unprofessional.
To make matters worse, the manager repeatedly pressured me to leave a tip for the servers after I had already declined. Instead of respecting my decision, he continued to insist, making the situation even more uncomfortable.
I spoke with the host to explain both the racist comment we experienced and the inappropriate interaction regarding the payment and tipping. Guests should never feel pressured to tip, especially after an experience that was far from enjoyable.
I came expecting good music and a welcoming environment, but left disappointed by the lack of professionalism, respect, and customer service.

Regarding the comment made during the show, if you’d like to share exactly what was said, we’re glad to review it with the performer. We take that seriously and won’t dismiss it, but we also can’t act on a vague accusation.
As for the payment, we spoke with multiple staff members who were present, and confirmed the bill was reviewed with you before it was charged, this is documented and that account doesn’t match what’s described here.
On tipping, our staff do not pressure guests to tip, and none of the staff involved recall that happening. Tipping is customary at bars in the US, but it’s always the guest’s choice.
We stand behind our team on this one, but we’re always open to a direct conversation if you’d like to reach out to our email.

This blues club offers exceptional live music from talented musicians and a wide selection of whiskeys and cocktails for over 30 years.
Performance was amazing as always, drinks were good. Service was outstanding. Atmosphere was lovely, glad to see young generations come to embrace with amazing sound of blues, and also see older generations bring their grand kids too.
Want to mention the $20 cash cover charge and that seating is first-come, first-served.
Really enjoyed my evening at Terra Blues. The live music was fantastic and created a great atmosphere. The drinks were good, the staff were friendly, and the whole experience was enjoyable. If you like live blues music and a relaxed vibe, I definitely recommend this place. I’ll be back again!
