Just back from the most relaxing week ever at Swallowdale. The accommodation was beautifully decorated with absolutely everything you could need on a holiday. A large decking area, and fantastic fishing (with a fishing shed including fridge!) plenty of space for eating and sunbathing while enjoying the views and peace and quiet. Location was ideal for us, close enough to walk to the local pub/restaurant, far enough away to be quiet. The complementary hamper, and a little text prior to the holiday are just extra examples of the thought that goes into the "experience" of Swallowdale, We really do highly recommend a stay here.

Another fantastic stay,at,Swallowdale.. I cant,speak highly enough of Ian' s,attention to welcoming his,guests and keeping them updated ,the,standard of comfort of the accommodation , the riverside,setting and the,abundant bird life from Herons, Marsh Harriers,Grebes,Swans and friendly Ducks. You can sit on your riverside terrace, drink in hand and,watch the,setting Sun or the,World go by on the river from yachts,paddle boarders,motor boats..large,and small plus children learning to canoe. Its so.peaceful and,restful.I have booked,again for 2026..our third year

Swallowdale was everything we were expecting. Very clean and comfortable. Weather was perfect so plenty of time to sit on the decking to watch all the activity on the water plus ducks that visited us on a regular basis. The welcome box was much appreciated too.

Could not fault our first ever one week stay at Swallowdale!! Everything we could have ever wanted had been thought of and the Cottage is so spotlessly clean and comfortable it is much like 'Home from Home'. The Welcome Pack was a really super touch and contained so many 'must have' products. Fishing from the decking was comfortable and enhanced by Ian's provision of multi-rod rests, a bait fridge and easy access to the storage shed. Overall, a wonderful holiday in a great location.

We have stayed at Swallowdale several times. It is lovely and comfortable and spotlessly clean. Everything you need is provided for a quiet week away, fishing or sitting on the deck watching the boats go by. A nice touch is the welcome box which even includes wine and chocolate! Also, if we lived locally, I would be asking for the number for the cleaner! Highly recommended.

As soon as we walked through the door, Swallowable felt like home. Swallowable has everything you need and more, from the fantastic welcome pack to the extensive kitchen equipment, nothing has been left out. If you are into fishing, there is a shed with bait fridge and lockable storage and even wooden rod rests that make it so easy. Swallowable was spotlessly clean, beds were comfy and towels etc provided. We have stayed at quite a few places on the broads and this was by far the best. It was great having a parking space outside your door. The fishing the week we went was quite poor but there was a lot of flooding and Storm Ciaran, so wasn't really surprised but this in no way detracted from Swallowable. Swallowdale is a place I would readily return to, highly recommended.

Just got back from a week at Swallowdale, its an amazing holiday home its got everything you need, so many nik naks and handy things that just dont come in other places to stay, all the places we have stayed in we have said " theres no this or no that " well at Swallowdale they provide it all " the care and thought gone into making your holiday is unbelievable, if this kind of holiday is your thing ( lodges and fishing ) you will not be disappointed. The welcome folder is soooooo well put together, informative down to the finest detail. The idea of having somewhere for bank sticks is amazing and it works so gobsmackingly well, the list is just endless to what you get here but not anywhere else.......really. Try it, im sure you will love it. We're are already booked in for next year........so looking forward to it. Derrick.

This is most certainly five star accommodation. Comfortable, clean with all modern amenities. Welcome basket on arrival was very thoughtful. Riverside location beautiful. We had a truly relaxing week and the fishing was excellent. We will be returning next September for our 6th visit! Highly recommended!

What a beautiful setting, there’s everything you could possibly need for a relaxing break ( beds made, towels, washing machine and detergents, good quality pans, bait fridge, and the daft littthings I normally forget, bin bags, cleaning supplies, kitchen roll, bottle opener etc) oh and a big thank you for the hamper!! We had daily visits from the ducks, heron, swans and 6 babies, kids loved kayaking and paddle boarding, hubby and son throughly enjoyed the fishing with the lad bagging an 8lb bream. Definitely recommend as in walking distance to the train station where we caught the train to Norwich one day and into Great Yarmouth another day.

Just got home from another wonderful holiday at Swallowdale Cottage in Brundall, you couldn't be made any more welcome when you arrive with a fantastic welcome pack provided. Everything you could possibly want is provided in the cottage, it is spotlessly clean and comfortable, dog and child friendly. Communication with Ian is exceptional. Excellent, we had a lovely relaxing stay at Swallowdale, the property was very clean and tidy and our hosts even left out some provisions to settle us in, everything we needed was provided, The Property situated in the perfect location, with stunning views of the River Yare, and a host of wildlife, Ducks, Swans etc, we enjoyed our 2023 stay so much we have booked again for September 2024
