I found Studio Legale Metta because of the many five star reviews. So I came into this with high expectations to begin with. I am currently working with them and am absolutely impressed with their knowledge, professionalism, follow-up and approachability. I’ve been working with several of their staff so far, and wow are they good! Marco helped us obtain our Italian Tax Code Certificate in record time. And Raffaella is our favorite new person in the entire world! Talk about going above and beyond! In our first call she erased our fear and apprehension with facts. I can’t fathom going through this process without this team.

We had an extremely positive experience with Studio Legale Metta. We are renting an apartment in Italy and didn't apply for a codice fiscale while we were there. Our real estate agent is unfamiliar with the process of applying for us as a proxy, so we turned to this firm. Their website does a great job of walking you through the process. It auto-fills the necessary forms, and then a real human being reviews them and writes directly back to you. We ended up receiving our tax numbers early within the promised time frame, which was certainly welcome. For those who absolutely have to have their numbers within a very short time frame, they offer expedited service (for a higher fee, of course). The bottom line is that I strongly recommend this firm. We could not have asked for better service, and they delivered exactly as they promised.

In the process of buying a property in Bari for which I needed the Codice Fiscale (Italian tax code). Did some online research which suggested consulates no longer handled applications directly. So I looked on the always informative Studio Legale Metta website and applied through them. VERY easy and my code was received in a matter of a few days.

I hired studio legale metta to help me navigate issues with my Permesso di soggiorno here in italy and was willing to pay a bit more to receive a professional service. However, after paying for 2 calls, and then for the renewal service, I had a terrible experience. My emails were regularly ignored for weeks, if not months at a time. The issue of the renewal was taken care of at the last minute, with almost zero communication with the attorney's assigned to my case. In this case, there were two attorney's I was told would assist me, and I never ever heard from the second, and only from the first after repeated attempts at communication.
While the issue was taken care of, eventually, I cannot recommend this firm. They clearly ignored my attempts at communication until the last minute, lacked transparency, and never followed up as originally agreed. When my new permesso was ready, I never got any communication from them and had to end up managing the remainder of the process myself.

And a point of clarity: SLM is not notified when the PdS is ready, the Questura contacts the user directly and/or it’s the responsibility of the user to log in, using the personal credentials provided by the Questura on the receipt provided at the appointment, to check the status in the portal. Apologies if we didn’t make that clear.

This was a fast pleasant experience with great communication all the way. You CAN get this for free with a lot time and probably headaches or spend a bit and have this in hand anywhere in the world in a very short amount of time. It was def worth it!

A wonderful opportunity to take care of all things legal around selling property in Italy - without going back to Italy. Thank you all for your assistance, patience and perseverance - your prompt turnarounds - very neat work and convenient, as I did not have to deal with getting friends involved in Italy, nor discuss issues with my bank. Studio Legale Metta offers all services, and can easily walk one through what needs to be done state side ( speaking of USA ). Not only, in a consultation call I learned that I could renew my Italian passport without having to travel to Chicago - given the open day offered (every blue moon....) in Denver! Perfect, as for me to travel to Chicago was quite inconvenient. Now I have an updated document - non si sa mai se dovesse servire!!
