I was contemplating getting a new roof, but when a tree crashed into the house, I needed to get an estimate immediately. Having seen their trucks during the 25 years we've lived in Pollock Pines, I called Straight Line without considering another company. It turned out to be a good decision. My first contact was with estimator Shaun Sergent who walked me through the process of damage assessment, roofing choices, pricing and scheduling the eventual work. Although his responsibility was essentially over once the job was underway, Shaun remained available throughout the process to answer questions or forward them to the right people. He was especially valuable helping me navigate the insurance claim process by preparing a separate detailed assessment and estimate of the damage caused by the tree. When I informed him of the settlement I received, Shaun immediately requested a "Certificate of Completion," so I could recover an additional amount that had been designated as depreciation. I was extremely satisfied with the overall quality of the workmanship and the competency of the technicians. Everyone involved in the project was friendly and helpful. The foreman, Austin, and the project manager, Tony, made themselves available by phone to handle issues that arose during the job. Even weeks after completion, when I had a problem replacing the gutter debris screens (which was totally my responsibility) Tony delivered extra screens and shingles without hesitation. The value I received from Straight Line - from the excellent work quality to the veteran's discount and insurance advice - was worth every penny I paid. I might have been able to get a slightly cheaper price from another roofing company, but I know Straight Line has my back and will be there for at least the 5 years of their workmanship warranty and beyond if I need them.

Too notch, competent and professional. I can’t say enough good things about them! May 2026: I had to reach out to straight line for a second time for some help. The California fair plan claim my roof was deteriorating, even though it was only 14 years old. They came out and did a thorough inspection and found it to be in good working order and gave me a fantastic report that saved my bottom with the California fair plan. We found Straight Line online when searching for roofing companies and after the two hour initial consultation with Andy, we decided to add siding and attic ventilation to our project too (we didn’t get our roof replaced yet, since we’re leasing solar panels and need to figure out next steps). Andy was the first person to explain why we’ve been getting repeated dry rot in a specific area and also noticed that our attic ventilation was woefully inadequate and was likely the reason our whole house fan died prematurely. Andy met with us one more time to review the project before we signed answering all of my questions and providing a lot of support. Omar and his team installed LP siding and the attic ventilation doing a fantastic job. They were careful to work around our plants and cleaned up afterwards. Omar had extra LP siding and generously used it to replace another rotten board at no cost. Overall, Straight Line has been an amazing company to work with from start to finish and we look forward to having them replace our roof in the near future!

They are nice, but the estimates for roof repairs are a little exaggerated. Ended up going with another roofer that was less than 1/3 of the cost estimated. I do flips for a living and knew a lot of the repairs were minimal. I am sure they're thorough, but their prices are steep.

Straight line Roofing is the most knowledgeable, honest, best company I have used. Andy initially came to our house. He was not a lame salesman just trying to make a buck,, he has actually done everything in the roofing and construction business. He is so funny and took the time to explain everything and answered all our questions. Once we got our contract signed, the crew came out. We got a new roof,, gutters and 2 sun tunnels. Roberto and the crew were very professional, shook my hand and wete also very easy to work with. They knew what they were doing and also enjoyed their work. Kept me updated all the time. I worked with Kyle he was Excellent explaining what I needed for repairs and provided me with clear pictures of the damage. I needed valleys and crickets cleaned plus some vents replaced. The roof also had a lot of moss that needed to be scraped off. His crew came out and completed all the work in one day. They were friendly, neat and cleaned everything before they left. During the next rain, I noticed the gutter overflowing. I called Kyle and he was out here in 30 minutes fixed the problem and all has been well since. I did get three other estimates, but went with straight line because their prices were very reasonable and they let me pick and prioritize what I wanted to fix. ( Only pay for what you need) Street line does a lot of work in our neighborhood and I talked to other homeowners and they were all satisfied with the work they received. I have been happy to recommend them to my friends.
