I have so many nice things to say about Starlight and the team there. Ben and Laura have been such a comforting part of our experience of having our first baby. Ben has helped provide so much helpful information and has answered all of my questions with detailed information. Laura did our scans and tests with so much gentle care and she has given us so much helpful information. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone!

I came here in 2020 where unfortunately I'd suffered a missed miscarriage. I then had a son but had regular NHS scans so didn't have any private scans done. I fell pregnant again this year & only had the standard NHS scans so I knew I'd definitely come back here for any extra's I wanted doing. We had 2 scans done with Claire who was brilliant & always made sure we were happy with everything & if there was anything we wanted double checking. Our baby boy Alfie arrived on the 25th of November 👶🏼. No more babies for us but I would highly recommend Starlight to anyone ⭐️

I had a very reassuring 20-week anatomy scan today with Laura. She was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything in detail. I honestly cannot thank starlight ultrasound enough. We attended for an early scan, very anxious after 2 losses, one of those sadly being a silent miscarriage. The staff were amazing and could see my anxiety walking into the room! They turned off the screen until all needed checks were done and then spent time with us to reassure and make sure our experience was a positive one. I cannot put into words how much of a difference this made for me and my husband. Thank you so much!x

Having such an amazing experience and scan with our first child there was no hesitation when our daughter came along to go back to their clinic for a scan. We would not consider or trust anyone else for reassurance of our baby ☺️ Laura and Ben are such nice people, very welcoming and make you feel at ease especially when it’s your first scan. The scan quality is amazing and the boutique has lovely outfits/gifts in both Hale and Bury. Starlight Ultrasound exceeded my expectations. During my pregnancy in COVID times they were a constant source of reassurance — offering emergency reassurance scans, a gender scan, and always finding a slot when I was anxious. The team is warm and professional, and their flexibility made a huge difference when NHS appointments were limited and my husband couldn’t attend most scans. Truly a lifesaver for our family! Had my gender scans in 2020 and in 2023, I would 1000% recommend starlight as they was amazing and handle situations well. The first gender scan we was unable to find out as baby was being stubborn so they rescheduled me with no extra fee, the NHS also said that baby was weighing small (6lbs) and growth had stopped, starlight measured as fine at (7.6lbs) which helped my anxiety about the situation…. Anyway when he was born not long after starlights scan he was actually 7.9lbs so starlight was right all along 🩷🩷🩷

Seriously disappointed with this place. I showed up a full 25 minutes early for my blood test, planning to cancel because my doctor said it wasn't necessary anymore. I asked them nicely if I could cancel or at least reschedule. Nope. They wouldn't refund my appointment or let me reschedule it, even though other centers I dealt with allow you to move things around. The receptionist just kept giving me this fake, useless smile and didn't help at all. Then he had the nerve to ask me to pay another deposit for re-scheduling even though the whole place was empty. Total waste of time and money. Never booking with this center again, lesson learned.
We're sorry you are disappointed because we only ever want to have satisfied and happy customers - happy with the care, service and experience they receive at Starlight.
However we also find it unfair for you to leave a 1* review because 25 minutes before an appointment you no longer required it.
Your wife attended and started completing paperwork in the upstairs waiting area before coming back downstairs saying her doctor had just advised she no longer required the blood test. So she left and the blood test obviously wasn't carried out. We then notified the courier who was on their way to collect the sample that it was no longer necessary to attend. We are one of the few providers to offer same day results on blood tests.
After she had left, you came in asking if she could cancel the appointment and you were told your wife had already cancelled it.
You then asked if the appointment could be re-arranged which would be possible but it was explained that a new deposit would be payable because the deposit paid was for that time slot on that day. Even though your wife arrived early for her appointment, it was still too short notice to be able to fill that slot.
To be fair to all customers and patients of our busy clinic, we have to apply the same policy to everyone.
You will have seen when booking online via our website that all appointments are subject to a non-refundable deposit, that cancelling at short notice will not result in a refund and that there is a minimum notice period to re-schedule. You have to tick acceptance of these terms before your booking is confirmed so you must have realised it is unrealistic and unfair on a business to expect otherwise.
Starlight is a busy, highly-rated, popular clinic and it may have appeared empty because the clinic room was in use at the time and there were people in the waiting room upstairs.
Our booking system does allow you to re-schedule an appointment but it would require more than 25 minutes notice.
Again we are sorry to hear you are disappointed and we wish you both well.
