A really spectacular night out. we were collected from our hotel by Diego and he pointed out interesting stuff on the trip up to the top. We had 3 stops, the first was a view down the valley, the second was the sunset above the clouds and the final stop was at the summit. We had a moonless sky, that is good, and got to see some great sights through the telescopes. Saturn was particularly impressive you could see the rings. Wow! Diego was very knowledgeable and very keen to spread his interest in astronomy. Don't panic if it is cloudy when you set off as the climate changes during the trip. We went from cloudy in Maspalomas to very clear at the summit. You need sturdy shoes as it is uneven and rocky. It will be cold, 28°C at the sea and 14°C at the top. There are lots of trees to pee behind but no actual facilities, oh and check the wind direction before you start because a wet leg isn't nice.🤣

Guides a l heure, on a pu voir couche du soleil mais personne a rien explique plus-endroit, combien annes..geologue de lieu…qq chose pour nous divertir un peu, alors personne sont reste regarder pendant 40min couche soleil-mais verre de cava appreciable et jus pour enfants…les autres compagnies ont fait plus de explications concernant combien volcans on a etc…Les deux guides jai eu impression netaient pas trop daccord concernant réglage de telescopes, le mec il parle comme si il crie.. aucune explication plus quoi on voit,la nuit aucune lumiere meme pas le pled pour pouvoir s asseoir(jetais avec enfants alors 3h debut), bon ca me manque petit detail…Jenny parle tres vite en anglais… les etoiles…vous voyez que de petits points. On a attendu vision plus proche…sympa de pouvoir voir saturn. Correct,sympa a voir mais jai attendu plus d info pour les enfants aussi. ;)

Ontzettend leuk gehad. Leuke kleine groepjes. We waren met twee busjes, elk busje rond de 10 mensen. Leuke guides die met enthousiasme vertelde over de sterrenhemel. Onze guide die reed wel erg hard door de bochten. Dus wees voorbereid als je wagen ziek bent. Ik ben dat niet en ik was misselijk toen we boven kwamen. Maar dat kon de pret niet drukken. Ontzettend leuk gehad, fijn dat er jassen aanwezig zijn als je het koud hebt. Leuke foto’s die gemaakt werden. Bedankt!
If you have spent your holiday mostly on the desert coast, this is a great way to see the greener, mountainous interior of Gran Canaria. Start with “golden hour” views in the foothills, followed by sunset on the Pico de las Nieves (can see the top of Teide volcano on Tenerife) and then later checking out the stars with high powered telescopes with excellent guides.
Only caveat is that the road to the top of the mountain is extremely windy and narrow so I would not recommend to anyone who gets car sick

The guides were exceptional and had great knowledge about the stars and astronomy. We were able to see the rings around Saturn and photograph the craters on the moon. The tour was very accessible - you need to be able to walk short distances (a few feet uphill / down to the stargazing spot) to see the sunset and the stargazing location, but they picked us up at our hotel and drove us right there. Fantastic tour!

Wir hatten einen tollen Abend auf dem Teide. Jenny ist ein fantastischer Guide und konnte uns sehr viel interessantes zum Sternenhimmel erzählen.
A great experience, we did the self drive option with a large mixed age family group and all were entertained. Despite the weather not quite playing ball (we were given the option to cancel/reschedule, but decided to chance it), the sunset view was beautiful and the constellations and telescope views and talk were still amazing.
