Excellent stay!
The cottage was very comfortable with all amenities including a hot tub.
Laurain and Mick couldn’t be more helpful, including lovely touches such as homemade bread and cake, eggs, butter and milk. The alpacas were friendly too!
The location is great for Leeds Castle and the Downs.
We’d definitely stay again.
Perfect Getaway
This is our second time of staying at Stable Oak Cottages, this time The Birch cottage which was lovely yet again. Laurain took the time to accommodate my husbands dietary requirements with her special welcome touches of home made goodies. A great location, perfect for walks and starting and ending the day with a treat of the lovely hot tub.
We had the most amazing night stay in the Birch Cottage, a hidden gem not far from where we live! Every little detail was filled with so much thought and consideration. We felt extremely comfortable and at home, the cottage was cosy and warm and they even have playing cards and a couples game for you to enjoy. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub, it was the perfect place to relax and unwind into the evening. We were extremely grateful for the fresh bread, eggs, butter, milk and lemon cake that was given to us, such a lovely touch! We were able to feed alpacas and met beautiful Dolly the dog. The bed was very comfortable, and the whole place was kept warm with heating considering the cold weather. We are already looking to come back in summer next year, thank you so much for a perfect night stay.

We had the pleasure of staying at the beautiful Oak cottage recently as a family with our two dogs. 5* does not do it justice. The accommodation was family friendly, child friendly and certainly dog friendly. It was spotless and comfortable and the hot tub was just fabulous. It felt like a home away from home. Waking up to the Alpacas in the morning was a beautiful sight too.
The accommodation is near some great places for sightseeing and visiting as well.
Laurain was absolutely wonderful. Lovely moreish freshly baked goods, and some wonderful hampers too! We were sad to leave but hopefully will visit again. Thank you Laurain and Stable Oak Cottages! Alia, William and family!

Lovely countryside cottage
We stayed in Oak Cottage and it was lovely - really clean, thoughtful touches and decor throughout, games and books and a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need plus teabags, bread and butter waiting on arrival! Starting the fire for the hot tub was easy and fun (instructions in the log box) and it was very relaxing to lounge under the fairy lights (once the two year old had finished practising his diving). Having a cup of tea to the sight of alpacas and rabbits gambolling in the morning sun was a lovely bonus. Thanks Laurain!
Absolutely amazing hosts, very clean and well maintained cottage which is not far from train station and Leeds castle .
We used public transport and the host was very kind picking us up and dropping us to station .
Also left home made bread ,butter ,eggs and milk as well as home made cake.
This made the perfect gateway and highly recommend

Willow is a lovely cottage, well equipped with everything I needed for my holiday. The cottage is quiet and has an enclosed seating area. I chose Stable Oak for a short break. The cottage is tastefully decorated and cake, fresh bread, butter and milk were supplied. Towels tea towels etc were also provided

Have just enjoyed a return visit staying in Oak Cottage this time. The season and weather are irrelevant as the cosy well maintained and charming cottages are so comfortable. The host Laurain makes such welcoming treats - home made bread, cake, even butter ! Interaction with the animals provides extra interest. Hoping to return again soon
Great experience + Lovely place! The hosts greeted us with a very warm welcome... and left us some jam sponge cake for when we arrived. Abundant space to park, alpacas and other farm animals to see, heated jaccuzi, WiFi and TV. You can't go wrong!

We had the most amazing stay, everything was so perfect! The hot tub was lovely and just the right temperature. There is everything you need in the pretty cottage, the little touches are wonderful, and the cleanliness was to perfection.
The animals are such a joy to see, and I even saw sweet wild rabbits in the field this morning. There was even complimentary homemade cake which was absolutely delicious, a freshly homemade loaf, some milk and some eggs in the kitchen.

We had the most amazing stay here! We took our 3 French bulldogs they throughly enjoyed there relaxing stay everything was perfect!
We had the most wonderful staycation! From the moment we arrived, everything felt effortless and relaxing. The place was beautifully set up, and had all the little touches that made it feel special. The atmosphere was cozy yet refreshing, making it the perfect escape without having to travel far.
What stood out most was how peaceful it was, Whether it was enjoying the comfort of the space, the thoughtful amenities, or just being able to truly unwind, it all came together to create such a memorable experience.
We were able to go and feed the alpacas which was honestly such a wholesome experience and made it one to remember.
We have left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a perfect getaway close to home!

Did not want to leave!
Myself and my partner stayed in Birch cottage for the August bank holiday weekend. The whole place is just perfect in every way and we could of easily stayed in the cottage forever! The hot tub is just magical, the animals are absolutely gorgeous, the owners are out of this world and made us feel so welcome. We could of easily stayed a lot longer than just 2 nights. This place is only a 23 minute drive for us but we felt like we were a million miles away from home. You can chill right out and appreciate the nature and countryside setting of the whole place. Some cracking walks outside of Stable Oak and Harrietsham village is very pretty. We will definitely recommend this place to everybody that we know and we will definitely stay again in the future. Also the little touches of homemade bread, cakes, eggs and milk just made the whole experience even more magical. Thank you for making our bank holiday weekend extra special and we totally understand why you have repeat customers, time and time again - this place is rather special in every way. Lauren is the down to earth kind person you could every wish to meet willow cottage was very clean and tidy the local produce was Of the highest quality with fresh home made bread the king size bed was just right the cottage’s are tucked away so peaceful quiete we had the most relaxing time will absolutely again

We stayed in birch with our two dogs and it was just right. Fresh and clean and plenty of space. The garden in the middle was lovely and the surrounding walks are perfect. All in all a lovely place to visit and we will be back

The small cottage was an ideal place to spend our wedding anniversary.
All the facilities were here and to be provided with tea ,coffee ,homemade bread and cakes too was a lovely touch.Great to listen to all the animals noises while using the hot tub
