First eye test for my little girl and Hafsa was patient and kind. I love the colouring table to keep the kids amused while they wait and there are so many frames to choose from !! Highly recommend !

I would highly recommend Specsure, the staff are all very friendly but also very professional. I would like to especially thank Georgia for her help with choosing from a vast range of beautiful frames then taking the time to ensure they fit and were comfortable. As I have varifocal lenses Georgia helpt me pick my frames to ensure I had room for the lenses,but this was no bother to her, she had them perfect in no time. Great service. Jane D.

I ordered some glasses online and when they arrived they were bent and didn’t sit right on my face. I gave Specsure a call after seeing they were local to me on Google. I was told to call into store and they would be able to assist me. When I arrived I was greeted by a lovely Woman, and I explained the issue. She straight away knew what needed to be done and took the glasses away. 5 mins later she returned and began checking the fitment to my face. The Result was the fit was perfect and they felt great. After this I was told no charge for the service, which I was taken back by and very grateful. For my eye care needs moving forward I will use Specsure and would highly recommend them if you’re in the Derwentside area. Excellent *****

I am a foreigner to the UK, but visit frequently to meet with family. Unfortunately I had a tiny accident with my glasses and it was quite inconvinient to not have them during my stay. I had access to my prescription, however NO optician store wanted to try and find a solution for me. They refused to use my foreign prescription. Specsure was the only ones that offered to help me. They managed to translate my prescription and figure out to get me glasses on good time. And I appreciate the effort so much, the time and the care put to my situation. Thank you, a much deserved five star review.

Very happy with my experience at Specsure. Friendly staff. Made to feel at ease during the appointment. Able to ask questions and never felt rushed. Plenty of choice when choosing the frames.

Fab service excellent staff !!

AVOID - Not truly independent, the owner has a chain of shops. Expensive and poor customer service. Avoid and use Consett Eyecare (they are truly independent) instead of these and Specsavers. Staff are curt and surly. Nasty reply to my review from the 'manager' calling me a 'puppet for a competitor' when I had excellent service from another optician. The accounts below (in the public domain) show £0.5million in staff costs alone! No wonder Mr. Sharif drives an expensive car!

Took my sun glasses in to be made into varicoceles so I could wear them all summer. Asked if they could do them and they did. When they came back they were perfect. Most places don't do this service so thank you again.Great staff and service, were very patient with me.
