I had an eye test here and was really impressed with the whole experience. The staff were friendly, professional, and took their time to understand what I needed. I ended up getting new glasses as well as new contact lenses, and the difference has been amazing—these lenses are comfortable and finally don’t cause headaches like my old ones did. The prices for everything were very reasonable, especially for the quality of care I received. Overall, a smooth, helpful, and affordable visit. Highly recommended!

Hi Nigel. As we have to pay to make them. We used to have a somewhat liberal policy on payments but the amount of people not returning and paying was staggeringly high so we changed our policy. Nothing personal Nigel, just mitigating unnecessry costs. Not sure this warrants a 2-star review but I hope my explanation suffices. Have a fabulous evening Sir.

Came in missing one of the rubber nose bits from my glasses after it had broken off and the staff kindly replaced both the broken and the none broken one with new ones and tightened my glasses free of charge, would most definitely return again for any opticianary needs.

Excellent service, as always, from Specsure! There was a small delay in getting my new glasses but that was because the lab were not satisfied with how the lenses were sitting within the frame (obviously a team of perfectionists). Thanks especially to Georgina who helped to create me a bespoke pair of specs. Specsure very much care about their customers and striving to provide the best service!

Excellent optician. Have used Specsure since they opened in 2006. Always been superb 👌. Even after moving over an hour away 7 years ago we have continued to go there for eye test and glasses. Wouldn’t go anywhere else

Went today as my 5 year old had broken her glasses which she needs to wear full time due to a squint. Georgia served us very promptly, she was very professional, friendly and helpful. Georgina went a step further in her fantastic customer service and managed to get the glasses back to us the same day which we are so grateful for as my little girl struggles when not wearing her glasses. I cant thank you guys enough very caring workforce who took time to listen and change things with my glasses and prescription, Lynsey went above and beyond to sort my prescription glasses out to be the same as i had before just a higher prescription. It did take a little longer back and forth to the lab but he nailed it. I definitely won't go anywhere else. Many thanks again (maybe Lynsey could have a pay rise /bonus 😉 for going that extra mile)

Not a Walnut 2025.06.21

     

I booked an appointment via the online booking system only to arrive for it and be told that the optician had gone home! They claimed they had tried to contact me to check I was still going (no need to assume I was not) but I had not answered the call, when I asked what number they had called I was told they didn't have one down for me. Even though I put my number and email on the booking form and received an email confirmation which no one had contacted me through. So I can't get in for another 2 weeks now. I will certainly be taking my business elsewhere.
