I’ve been coming to Forest House Spa for my worker’s comp treatments and I couldn’t be happier with the care I’ve received. CiCi and Lulu are amazing with deep tissue massage—both really listen to what’s going on with my body and work out the tension in a way that leaves me feeling lighter and more mobile. Dr. Lee has been incredible with acupuncture, helping me manage pain and speed up recovery. The whole team is professional, kind, and genuinely invested in their patients’ well-being. The spa itself is clean, calming, and a place I actually look forward to visiting. Highly recommend to anyone needing therapeutic treatments or just looking for quality care.

They are doing a great job marketing as of late. I had several groups of friends in different networks succumb to the marketing and book the headspa experience. Located on Miramar in a plain jane shopping plaza (you would have never thought to stop by).. it's a small humble family owned chinese massage business. They follow all the rule book procedures with waivers, etc. but it's more for "show" than actual record keeping (I appreciate the effort nonetheless). I dont think they distinguished who was who when we came as a group. Group of 6 moms booked for the discount (78 dollars pp one hour service). What they didn't plan or share was that the largest room at this business holds 4 people in one room (divided by curtains).. but this left 2 of our party in individual service rooms.. a different experience and less connected to the group. I had Elizabeth .. and after a horrible elbow r@ping experience at another chinese spa earlier that week (see separate review).. i was glad to get someone much more gentle. The other moms had 1 gentleman.. who was cautious and mindful for handling a woman.. and other chinese masseuse (and they were much more firm with their massages.. some a bit too hard). TL;DR: if you want a gentle massage, Elizabeth is your girl. EVERYONE we encountered at this business was so kind and polite and welcoming. The people here are the best feature to the business. This was a first headspa experience for me. They check your scalp with a camera.. just a quick.. "ooh look! hair follicles!" before you are ushered into the room to lie on the spa chair. TIP: do not wear necklaces or earrings. come in a top that can easily reveal chest and shoulders (above boob.. think tube top). It was a luxurious hair wash.. relaxing with warm oil and lots of petting massage and warm water. I enjoyed the experience very much... but I can't justify making this a frequent experience for myself. There was a $20 upcharge for long hair (it's well stated on their website but a little .. hard to swallow given it's 1/3 of the service).. so all in all I ended up paying over $120 bucks for a fancy hair wash with tip. Still.. it was a pleasurable experience and your hair is soft and shiny after .. and you do feel relaxed. It was also a fun experience to do with a bunch of gal pals to end a holiday break. 5 stars overall but deduct one on the long hair penalty at $20 (I think $10 would have been more reasonable.. especially since it was subjective). I did appreciate the tea bar and snackies at the end. It's a treat and overall a good experience. :) Do recommend coming to check them out! Support the small businesses. :) Book ahead and come enjoy a fun evening .. cutwater around the corner makes for an even better end to your night!

This place is amazing! From the moment you enter, it makes you feel so calm and peaceful! I came with my sister-in-law and we both did 3 hours of pampering as my present for her 40th birthday. I had given her the option of going to a luxury resort spa, where I would get her one 50 minute treatment, or we could get 3 hours of amazingness at Forest House for the same cost. Easy choice, right?! She had one hour each of a massage, facial, and headspa with her therapist. I had a really long collagen facial and headspa with Coco. I am not a small person by any means, but man is she strong! Not only was she relaxing me and massaging my muscles in all the ways I needed, but she stretched my arms and legs in ways I never would have expected. It was wonderful! She is such a sweet person on top of that! When my sister-in-law (mother to 3 young ones) came out of her room, I was laughing because I've never seen such a serene happiness on her face before! We were both laughing that every time we thought we were done, another massage, mask, or machine was used on us. During those 3 hours, time became meaningless to us, and we were in love with it. I had been to their location in Miramar for a headspa last year. I'm so happy they're in North County closer to me. Both my sister-in-law and I agreed we will definitely be going back, and look forward to making it our "thing." 10/10 Go and treat yourself! You deserve it, and this business is perfect!

My favorite is the stress melt head spa service- everything from the scalp massage to the steam cap to the stretching and massage is the best. Check this place out ASAP! I got the detox wash and added a facial and I've never been so relaxed in my entire life. The gal who checked me in was also the one who did my scalp treatment. She was literally the sweetest person ever and walked me through each step and was so accommodating! My hair has never felt so clean! She was so thorough and really cleaned my entire scalp! I'll definitely be back and bringing my friends! Great price, great quality, extremely clean facility 5 stars!

This place was amazing from the start. Very kind person on the phone while I set up a same day appointment. I had Regina for a massage and head spa treatment. She was OUTSTANDING! It was a wonderful experience from start to finish—truly a self-care treat. I booked the 90-minute Stress Melt Scalp treatment, and I especially loved the initial scalp analysis. The feedback was so helpful and made the whole experience feel personalized. The treatment itself was a sensory delight from beginning to end, and it actually went far beyond just the scalp—it felt like a full-body experience. Cici was incredibly professional and sweet, and every woman we interacted with was so kind and welcoming. I really enjoyed our time at the spa and would absolutely return.

Had treatment from their "head spa" menu - just amazing! Was a really great, relaxing, nourishing experience. The staff there was wonderful. Felt very taken care of and definitely wanting to go back. I would absolutely recommend this spot!
