I just love their food although it can be a bit pricey. The have a large variety of American, vegetarian and Middle Eastern options. The staff is really helpful when you are choosing what to order.
This is the first time I stayed inside to watch them cook everything and it all looked amazing. They actually had a fresh grilled chicken sandwich. Not something that is precooked & flavorless. I was told that it was the best chicken sandwich that she's ever had. I had my usual gyro and it was amazing as always. Although we didn't order it, I saw a RT 25 burger being made and it looked incredible. The bun was grilled and the burger patty was hanging out of the oversized bun. We have gotten wings in the past &, even though I usually don't like them, I thought they were good.
They also offer desserts and bulk food at very reasonable prices. I got a loaf of pita bread for less than $5 and a huge container of homemade pita chips for $11 and both were awesome. My carryout order took less than 10 minutes to make & the staff was great!
(Just FYI, another review said that they are under new management but it's the same people who have owned and operated it for decades.)

This is not what you'd expect. Located on a busy corner in BG, it appears to be an ordinary convenience store, but inside, it is a feast for the eyes, nose, and stomach. Whether you're in the mood for a gyro, cheeseburger, chili dog, or chicken wings, it is all good. Prepared fresh right on front of you while you wait, or call ahead and it will be waiting for you. The people are friendly and helpful. Go in often enough and you will be greeted by name like an old friend. Check out the menu online and the daily specials.

Stopped in for carryout lunch. Was busy with a handful of people waiting on orders. Loved the gyro and french fries, delicious and very large portions. The gyro had lamb meat and the right amiunt of sauce and toppings. Can't wait to try some of their other items.

They weren't lying about the gyros being the best. Definitely worth coming back too regularly. The gyros are massive and are filled to the brim with meat. Very generous size for the price

I’ve been to south side six a few times with my husband & had nothing but good service & fantastic food. Until tonight, I called my order in & ordered 2 gyros - 1 with no lettuce & 1 regular with sauce on the side & a cheeseburger no mayo & no lettuce & a basket of fries.
Instead when I got home 45 min away I opened the bag & received a chicken gyro & burger with only ketchup. I called the restaurant & was hung up on then called back. Mind you I’ve never ever complained to this restaurant & I’ve gotten to know the owners. But tonight Mr came to the phone & told me that they make several orders a night & do make mistakes & since they can’t make me happy I’m to go across the street to Wendy’s McDonald or Burger King. Really I feel I must of gotten the wrong order, I feel that I was disrespected & talked to as a child instead of an adult. I never yelled, screamed or even complained before, in fact the last time I was there was early Oct.
yes people make mistakes, but you are a restaurant & mistakes should not happen no matter how many orders you make. I paid $50 dollars for an order that was completely wrong & threw it away. You’re supposed to be a professional business & take care of your customers. You don’t have to worry about me ever complaining for I won’t EVER be back!
I hope you’re proud of yourself, I did nothing wrong & I’ve never complained before but now I’m making my voice heard.

If I could rate less than one star I would.
Today me and my mom went to this restaurant which we have ordered from on multiple occasions with no problems whatsoever.
We ordered 2 gyros (lamb), along with a burger platter with only ketchup, mustard, onion, pickle, and cheese. When we got home not only was our gyros chicken instead of lamb, but the burger only had ketchup and cheese on the sandwich. My mother called the restaurant only to be told that "I guess we can never get your order right, we serve over 1000 customers a day, but it's only you that we have problems with. I think you would much be better going over to wendy's, mcdonalds, or burger king across the street."
Absolutely disgusting to think that is okay to say that to any customer.
Will never be going here again.

I stopped into South Side 6 in Bowling Green, and I can honestly say this was hands down one of the best burgers I’ve ever had in my life. When I opened the box, I was met with a massive double-patty burger and thought for sure I’d only make it through half. Nope. I couldn’t put it down. I finished the whole thing so fast I barely had time to chew 😂
The flavor, the size, the quality—everything was perfect. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone. If you’re anywhere near BG, do yourself a favor and try it!

This is theeeeee place to go if you love Gyro’s! Staff are wonderful and not afraid to chat with ya . I drive 25 miles just to get this Gyro ! I pass 25 other places that make them but not one competes with South Side 6 !
