We stopped here a few days ago for an impromptu cream tea afternoon and it was delicious! Scones were warm and fresh and tea was spot on. We had the place to ourselves and it was very low key and relaxing. We will definitely be coming back

For an authentic Devonshire Cream tea experience, this is the place. The gardens are quintessentially English. The scones are great and there's a wide choice of teas to accompany the mountain of Devon's finest clotted cream and jam.

Went for a cream tea with family a week ago, service was very good. Food was really good quality, scones cooked to order, plenty of jam and cream. Would highly recommend.

Southern Cross Guest House and Tea Rooms. Visited here with my Sister and Brother-in-Law for a Cream Tea sat in the garden. The service was really good and the Cream Teas are really good plenty of cream and jam. Small carpark and the exit road is a bit narrow but this tea room is definitely worth a visit

Brilliant b&b rooms are quirky which adds to character the owners are great rooms very clean and comfortable breakfast freshly cooked just as you want it plus cereals and juices will stay again and cheese scones are freshly made on the day one of the best b&bs we have stayed in

Amazing cream teas! This is the best place for cream teas in Devon. Quantity of clotted cream was great, and tea pots and cups added to the charm. Really friendly service. Definitely worth a stop

Wonderful oldy woldy place. Room ok size but floor was at an almost 45 degree angle, fell into the bathroom! Stairs were a bit hard for us olds, with luggage - quite an adventure considering the age of the building it was great! Lovely host Tim and a nice breakfast (home made marmalade!) and nice garden. Sorry we were on our way so we did not get to sample cream tea. Good parking but a bit hard to get out on busy road! But traffic did not keep us awake! Walked to a nice pub down the road. Thank you!!!!
