This is hands down our favorite brewery in Northern Virginia! The beer list is very IPA heavy and best in class in the region imo. The menu isn’t exactly rotating but there are some changes every month. For non IPA drinkers, there’s a few good lager, Pilsner and sour options available too.
The food is usually great, with the spicy chicken tenders in Nashville sauce, burgers, and bowls being great options although vegetarian options are limited unfortunately. But what makes this place truly remarkable is the absolutely best staff, always upbeat, helpful, engaging and just creating a very friendly atmosphere that some larger breweries in NoVa lack.
In terms of ambience, this brewery doubles as an arcade with a lot of game options for fun with friends and family. It’s also fun to watch football or basketball games here on the large projector and TVs at the bar, but with no sound and no TVs in the regular sitting area so I wouldn’t target this specifically as a sports pub. Wednesdays are bingo nights, there’s live music on Fri/Sat depending on the week and Sundays offer discounted take-home beer purchases. Overall, this place always has a mix of regulars and new visitors, great beer, good food and great staff and is absolutely worth visiting.

3/5 Multiple visits, 2018-present. Solace is a fine brewery. The beer is perfectly serviceable. The food they added in the fine, if a touch on the expensive side, but it's nice to have an option in an area without a lot of places to eat. The service is good if not remarkable. They have a large room with plenty of arcade games for families. The biggest problem is that they have competition that brackets them in just about every way within a few minutes drive. Honor Brewing, literally across the street, has a full service restaurant with a better menu and somewhat better beer. Ocelot Brewing, a few minutes away, doesn't have a kitchen but has more cohesive environment including a bunch of highly sought after pinball machines along with by far the best beer in the area. So there's nothing wrong with Solace but against steep competition it doesn't quite hold up. That being said, if you wanted to hit a few breweries while in that area it's worth a stop.
This has become one of our go-to spots when we want good beer, good food, and great service. Our taste leans toward the darker beers, which there aren’t a lot of, but what they have are excellent. Their food is amazing, too! I grab a burger with curly fries and am never disappointed. Shout out to Clay and Middle who always provide top-notch service.
Don't buy food here. I went on Sunday and ordered some wings, and now I have salmonella.

Hey Gabriela, sorry to hear that you’re sick! Can you look to any other food products as the culprit, though? Because our wings are actually fried twice before serving. We’ve had no other issues or complaints regarding the wings. Hope you feel better!
My family and I have been here a few times and love hanging out and playing the arcade games with our kids, but this was our first time ordering food. Best chicken sandwich I have ever had. Seriously delicious. The kids meals fantastic and a steal. My husband got the spicy chicken thighs which were also incredible. Thank you.
