I came in for a dental cleaning and had an issue with one of my veneers, and Dr. Maria Escoto went above and beyond to help me. She took the time to not only clean and fix what I needed, but also made sure all my questions were answered. Her kindness, patience, and genuine care truly stood out. I had to make an urgent same-day appointment for a badly infected tooth while on vacation. The staff and dentist were helpful and accommodating. Had a good experience overall.
The staff was exceptional today! From the front desk to the doctor, everyone was professional and friendly. My initial consultation was informative. The follow up plan was given in detail with pricing and explanations on how insurance works in my particular case. I normally don’t write reviews, but I feel it’s important to share my experience so others can make an informed decision.
In February 2023, I paid Sobe Dentist $2,550 for a crown, an onlay, and fillings (after insurance). I was originally charged for a crown but received an onlay instead—and what followed has turned into a two-year nightmare that I am still paying to fix.
The crown and onlay were not placed correctly, and my bite never fit properly. Instead of correcting the issue, my surrounding healthy teeth were ground down multiple times to “make space,” which caused lasting damage. Within days, I developed pain in a tooth that had no issues before visiting this office. Over the course of several appointments, I went through multiple failed crowns and temporary placements.
When I asked Sobe Dentist to make it right, I was ridiculed and laughed at instead of being helped. I had no choice but to seek out other dentists for proper treatment.
Recently, in Dallas, I had to have the onlay completely removed because a cavity was forming underneath it and on the adjacent tooth that had been cut to fit it. I was also diagnosed with five new cavities in the teeth above the onlay due to the unnecessary grinding down of enamel. I ultimately had to pay for another crown on the tooth that was originally supposed to receive a crown, but instead received an onlay.
Over the past two years, I have sought multiple opinions from different dentists, endured pain and stress, and spent thousands of dollars trying to repair the damage caused by Sobe Dentist. What should have been straightforward dental work has turned into a prolonged and costly ordeal.
I would strongly caution anyone considering treatment here to be aware of my experience.
