Via my company Devlin Interior Design, a contractor put me onto Simon from SMPS who was immediately on hand to effectively solve a damp, dry rot and woodworm issue within my client’s property. Simon was (and continues) to be on hand to offer solutions and answer questions. From a business perspective, Simon has successfully recommended various reliable contractors to me for other projects. The team who work with Simon delivered this project on time and were supportive to my client’s job when other issues arose when opening up floors and walls. Simon is very honest in his assessment of situations and I would highly recommend.

I needed a rising damp issue remided in my eldely parents hallway wall. I Contacted SMPS Building Preservation Specialists and spoke to Simon who was very helpful in diagnosing the problem. He sent his team out the very next day to damp course and board the problem wall. Andy did a fantastic job, and it was compleated in under four hours from start to finish, to a very high standard. Everything was left clean and tidy and at a very reasonable price. I couldn't recommend SMPS Highly enough. Great company . Garenteed peace of mind. If you have any damp or rot issues they are the best choice. Big thanks to Simon, Andy and their team. 5 stars.

Contacted SMPS as had been experiencing a very musty smell in a bedroom cupboard and was worried aboutdampness. Outside wall had been wet but had dried. Simon came out promptly to assess the cupboard and advised there was no problem regarding dampness. Gave advice and did not charge for visit. I highly recommend getting in touch with SMPS if you requires these services.

Simon and the team were absolutely brilliant from start to finish, we were kept updated as the job proceeded and when extra work was discovered Simon gave really professional and detailed advice of what the nexts steps should be to rectify the problems. He managed to schedule the extra works in on very short notice, which we massively appreciated!! I would recommend them to anyone. They also left the work area clean and tidy, removing all the waste from the job. I know that seems like a basic thing but it’s the small aspects of the job that really make the difference.
