After spending years in ski resorts, this was my best rent&instruction experience. It is a warm family store with amazing kind people… Our snowboard instructor Alfonso managed to let my 8 y.o daughter go down from the slope in just 1 day… He was like a magician with an amazing ability of child interaction… His instruction ability went beyond translation.. Very highly recommended!
Smart ski Academy her yönüyle mükemmel. Çok bilgili ve nazik bir sahibi var. Kiraladığın her ürün çok kaliteli ve özenli. Profesyonel ve samimi bir işletme. Türkiye de kayak otellerinde bir sürü ders aldık. Alfonso tanıdığımız en iyi , kaliteli ve eğlenceli hoca. Çok kısa sürede çok önemli şeyleri öğretti ve tatilimizi rahat geçirdik. Am avut o experienta deosebita pentru fetita mea,atunci cand am ales aceasta scoala de ski si in principal pe Nina C.
Aceasta este o profesionista adevarata care isi face treaba de nota 10.Am participat la orele de ski,in calitate de traducator pt.fetita mea care nu intelegea engleza si am vazut ca tot ceea ce face Nina C. este cu multa seriozitate. dragoste,si stiinta in arta de a skia.Am vazut multi instructori si lectii abordate de ei,dar ceea ce face Nina este mult profesionalism si rezultatele se vad dupa o saptamana de lectii cu Nina C.
Fetita mea s-a atasat f.mult de Nina si iubeste skiul datorita ei.Vrea sa skieze si in viitor si sa mai aprofundeze anul viitor ,dar doar cu Nina.
Mentionez ca am schiat in trecut si in Franta ,a avut instructori nu era la inceput,dar aici skiul a devenit o placere si astapta

On the first day i had bobby,he was really good and taught me the basics.on the second day i had reni,she was really nice and continued teaching me in a good way.on the third day i had a teacher called gary,who didnt put in enough effort to teach me and i felt that she didnt invest attention in improving my skiing technique in me and just made me more unconfident.on the fourth and fifth day i had a teacher named zanfir(zanfo)he was really excellent and brought my skiing to another level.i felt that bevause i often switched instructors,i had to repeat the stage of them evaluating my level. i didnt like that so much.overall most of the instructors were good and i was happy with the teaching(except gary) לישראלים ,בבקשה לא לקחת את גארי מאחר שהיא לא מורה טובה,אם מציעים לכם אותה אל תסכימו.
Been to Bansko twice and have had a few lessons with smart ski. I would highly recommend. We had a lesson this week with Iavo and he was so patient with us. We have learnt so much and feel more confident on the slopes⛷️ Thanks so much to Iavo & smart ski looking forward to another lesson tomorrow. Stacie & Shaun :)

Everything was very professional. Our instructor, Reni, was amazing. We also rented equipment from them, and the whole experience was seamless. I would definitely recommend them!
Such a great experience with this ski school! The whole team was super friendly, welcoming, and professional from start to finish. Reni is an amazing instructor - patient, encouraging, and explains everything so clearly. She makes sure you feel confident before moving on. I improved so much in a short time and actually felt relaxed on the slopes.

We had such a great experience with this ski school. Our instructor Reni was amazing – patient, calm, and just really good at explaining things in a way that actually made sense. As adult beginners we were a bit nervous, but she made the whole process feel easy and fun.
We also rented all our equipment through them and everything was super smooth and well organised. No stress at all.
Honestly, they made learning to ski as adults such a positive experience. Highly recommend, and if you can, ask for Reni 😊
I Had Afonso for a beginner snowboarding lesson, had the most fun I’ve ever had on a board! He was super helpful showed me all the techniques and my progression was rapid after one lesson! Such a fun guy to snowboard with, highly recommend 👍👍

Me and two friends were recommended Smart Ski academy for our gear rental. We were in Bansko for a long weekend and Smart Ski were great, they organised all our snowboard equipment and were very flexible on what equipment you needed. They get it all set up for you and their expertise on all things snow sports and Bansko were clear. They organised snowboarding lessons for us with a choice of start time, shout out to Alfonso our teacher who is very cool and a very good teacher, who clearly loves snowboarding gave my friend who had never snowboarded before the skills needed to get down the ski road at the end of the day in just a two hour lesson (if you have the time I recommend a 3 hour lesson the time goes quickly).
Our friend couldn't get into snowboarding and the next day Bobbi allowed him to switch his equipment to skis and arranged more training for him (the trainer was the only extra cost). Also a quick shout out to the rest of the team, very professional and knowledgeable, the man who set up our boards was a classic old school skier that reminded me of the ski shop owner from Might Ducks (that is a compliment).
Lastly the price for everything was very reasonable and very worth it, thanks very much to Bobbi the owner who sorted everything out and explained everything very clearly and who's knowledge of Bansko and love of skiing was clear!
I had the pleasure of learning to snowboard with Alphonso over the course of four days, and the experience exceeded every expectation. I arrived as a complete beginner — someone who had never even stepped onto a snowboard — and by the end of our sessions I was riding confidently, controlling my speed, and genuinely enjoying the slopes.
Alphonso has a rare combination of patience, clarity, and deep technical knowledge. He explains every movement in a way that feels simple and intuitive, and he knows exactly when to challenge you and when to slow things down. His teaching style builds confidence without ever feeling overwhelming.
What stood out most was how invested he was in my progress. Every day felt tailored to what I needed in that moment, and he celebrated each improvement with genuine enthusiasm. Thanks to him, snowboarding went from intimidating to exciting — and now I can’t wait to get back on the mountain.
I highly recommend Alphonso to anyone looking to learn or improve. He’s an exceptional instructor and an even better person to spend time with on the slopes.
