11 months to the day after our last experience with Smart Movers we had an identical experience, only Julio was replaced by James ... Can't say enough about these folks who are about to store our belongings for the next 12+ months... Thank you folks for being consistently great!

We had a very short, 1 BR move and didn't know any movers in this area as we are relatively new.
The phone was answered, questions were answered, an estimate was rapidly produced, and a day/time was set for our move.
Sal and Julio called about 15 minutes out, as prescribed, called again a few blocks away, all within minutes of the prescribed time.
Both Sal and Julio were great, with energy, effort, and conversation.
The move went exactly as planned, on time, within the estimate and just exactly what we needed during the stress of any move.
Learned that the person giving me the estimate is the President of the company, they are also a storage company and I a great conversation about future use, and definitely will be using and recommending Smart Move in the future.
Added 2 years later... We had our items stored with this firm.
They survived unblemished through a significant hurricane.
We were able to access our items without hassle,.although it was a relatively large unit and we only accessed the items stored in the front.
We had them move us back into our apartment 2 years later and is was totally smooth and a fair/reasonable cost. That's also why I paid more than $2000 to this firm... 2 moves and 27 months of storage.
Highly recommend Hannah and her team...

Positive - they do have availability for quick moves. Negatives - they charge a few different fees that the don't tell you about and/or downplay over the phone, they charge for more time than actually worked even though they said they charge in 15 min intervals over the phone, the movers forgot a few things that they should have obviously moved, and even though I told them I wanted a mattress bag before the move, I caught one of the movers dragging the mattress out of my apartment without a bag and had to ask him to put a bag on the mattress and he did so only after he already brought it out of my apartment. In conclusion, I would not use their services again.

We did provide a mattress bag so if it was not bagged inside I will speak to the crew as to why that was not done. Great experience - our movers worked quickly, efficiently, and were just cool. They were there when they said they would be there and there was zero damage. Overall, the SMART MOVE company was great to deal with—they were the most responsive as far as getting a quote to us—I’m
still waiting on quotes from other companies…🙄 and they worked with our tight schedule as well as provided packing bins for the move. I would highly recommend them and use them for any future moves we might have.

Smart Move was indeed the smart move for us. James and Jacquez arrived early, didn’t miss a beat loading our items. Both were friendly, courteous, and professional. The unload at the other end also went seamlessly. Only one small problem, which was as much our fault as theirs. Couch was placed on top of the plug on the floor; not centered over the plug. We would use them again in a heartbeat.

I got connected to this company thru St. Petersburg Movers LLC. Smart Move sent 2 strong men, who arrived on time, to move my 2 storage units into 1 truck and back to my house. The men were great, very nice, and nothing was broken or lost in the process. I highly recommend this company.

Pros: Affordable and accommodating. The bins they provide along with extra boxes were a huge help. They provide pick up and drop off of bins/boxes pre-move for a reasonable cost too. The movers were friendly, efficient, and professional.
Cons: I wouldn't expect reusable moving bins to be spotless by any means, just clean with no residue and smell I think would be acceptable to most. Our bins were in fact like this which was fine by me. What was frustrating and went unresolved after reaching back out to Smart Move was an extra charge post move for cleaning our bins. This was never mentioned when we made our reservations over phone and email. If we received spotless, brand new bins, that would be one thing. But these were already gently used and we did what most people would which was put stickers and tape on the bins to indicate which rooms certain bins would go to. Side note, many bins we received came like this from the prior move or moves before us so we saw no need to scrub off every piece of tape we applied.
Smart Move, please communicate better what extra charges you can or plan to apply so future customers aren't surprised when they see added charges from you post move! Or at minimum, if you're going to charge bin cleaning fees, make sure the bins you send out are spotless and cleaned after every move completely. Hold yourselves to the same high standard you hold your customers to when it comes to cleanliness.
There are hardly enough positive adjectives to say how pleased I was with the handling of my move from Smart Move. The two men who moved my furniture were prompt, efficient, pleasant, and clearly adept at their jobs. I was more than satisfied with the actual transfer from my old house to my new one but I was really pleasantly surprised with every phone communications that I had with them. They were always available to answer questions and help me figure out how to give them the information they needed in order to get me an accurate estimate. I am 100% satisfied and highly recommend this group of honorable professionals.

Smart Move sent Rio, Reco, and Que to move my items from storage into my home. They could not have sent a better crew! These 3 gentlemen were diligent about making sure the move went smoothly and all my needs were met. I clearly had more items than I had room for and they managed to figure out my spatial limitations and make it all work. I cannot say enough good things about these 3 guys! Great job!!

UPDATE-This review was left by an employee of PRUITTS MOVING company that was denied access for failure to provide proof of insurance or license. We have reached out to them to no avail for the opportunity to remove their slanderous review that goes against Google Community standards before forwarding to the State Attorneys office, The Florida Office for Insurance Regulation and the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services who regulate the industry for review.

However, the company MUST be insured per our conversation on Thursday July 31st.For liability purposes, all companies must provide this proof. This is industry standard and serves to protect you and us from unlicensed companies damaging yours and our properties as well as workers compensation coverage. We spoke to you on the phone and we also sent 2 emails last week requesting proof of their coverage. Additionally, it is noted on ALL receipts and emails that we have sent to you dating back to July 2023. Please send over their insurance and you can access contents immediately. If I can be of assistance in expediting the process I'm more than happy to help. Please contact me directly. Thank you and we look forward to resolving this paperwork issue quickly for you. Hannah

Smart Move was very easy to work with. They obviously have a lot of experience working with stressed-out movers like me! The crew was wonderful. Very efficient, careful, and friendly. I would absolutely hire them again!
