I’ve lived in the area for nearly 2 years and very grateful to have st lukes on my doorstep, for myself aswell as other in the community - I think the area would be totally different without it…. I popped in to ask a question and from the minute I walked in I was greeted and given the info I needed with a smile. Kelly and Denise are full of knowledge and always ready to help, their kind nature is something that cannot be bought. Most local businesses and organisations could learn a lot from how St Luke’s runs, thank you all for all you do ❤️

We had another great team awayday in the spacious garden room with its wall to wall, floor to ceiling glass doors. The facilities were all excellent and the buffet lunch was very adequate. It felt like a real community hub, in a characterful building too. The receptionist was really helpful with directions. We were treated with an unexpected singsong in the room next door - not too loud fortunately!

The place to be
A community centre for a lifetime. There are activities for all age groups, and many activities are free if you are a member. The free activities available to members are excellent.
The cooking classes are absolutely outstanding, both for juniors and adults. The people who work there are amazing, and I have been using the centre for over a decade. It is so important to have a place like this in the community for people of all ages. I cannot recommend St Luke’s Community Centre enough, and I truly wish I could help more as a volunteer.

Title: Five out of Five Stars – Proper community spirit, done well
I have visited St Luke’s Community Centre for workshops, meetings, and the café, and it consistently sets a high bar for what a local community space should be. The building is well laid out, welcoming, and clearly designed to be used properly rather than just looked at. The staff are warm, organised, and genuinely helpful, whether you are booking rooms, attending training, or just dropping in for lunch. Communication is clear and efficient, and on busier days everything still runs smoothly without feeling rushed.
The café deserves particular mention for its fresh, home-style food at very reasonable prices, and there is a relaxed atmosphere that encourages people to stay rather than rush off. It feels lived-in in the best way, with families, professionals, and locals all sharing the space comfortably. It is a rare example of a community centre that genuinely serves its community rather than just hosting it.

And yes we provide the majority of our services to members who are the residents of ECV1. But please be aware some of our events are open to non members "Guests", So people join us from further afield.
Also one of our revenue streams to help fund the community centre for locals is we hire out the kitchens, meeting rooms & event spaces to companies that need a temporary space in London.
