Wow! Really great experience with our guide. We saw 4-5 sloth even if it was raining. We was able to see a sloth face really clear. The two others activities at the end of the tour was really a plus to our sloth tour. Everybody are really kind and passionate.

This tour was worth every penny! Sergio was very knowledgable and showed us 3 sloths along with two types of poisonous dart frogs! We loved the whole experience and would recommend it to everyone!

We decided to book a sloth tour because we hadn’t been lucky enough to find any ourselves and I am so glad we did. Our tour was led by Sergio and he was phenomenal. He showed us a mom and baby of both sloth species and he was highly knowledgeable about the life history, biology and phylogeny of sloths and the ecology of the area in general. He also pointed out other animals and plants such as bats, porcupines, agouti, birds, leaf-cutter ants and trees and flowers. The food and drinks and tortilla making at the end was great. He also allowed us to walk the trails of the property for as long as we wanted after the tour which was much appreciated. The birding was phenomenal. I was able to go back and find a rufous-tailed jacamar that I’d heard but not seen during the tour. I also saw motmots, great curassows, chachalacas, several tanager species, saltators, a wood rail, barred antshrikes, black guans, northern jacanas, a green heron and a white-faced crake.

Sergio led the sloth tour and he was amazing! We saw both species of sloths with babies, many amazing birds, bats, etc. Sergio was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The demonstration and snack at the end was such a bonus.

Our guide,David, was amazing. He knew what he was showing us and was able to answer questions without hesitation. I would highly recommend this sloth tour. We saw so many plants and animals. A. Tour we'll worth the time.

Jaime gave us an amazing tour. Well worth the visit! She was knowledgeable, funny, helpful, and kind. She knew exactly how to get us videos through her equipment. We learned all about the wildlife and plants on an easy walk through the flat trail, and then ended with making our own tortillas and having a yummy snack. You might not realize you’re in the right place, but the sign will say La Fortuna Trails and Hikes.

We are so glad we booked the Sloth Tour. David our guide was very knowledgeable and kind. We got to see some amazing animals and birds. We saw several sloths that we wouldn’t have found without a guide. We saw toucans, dart frogs, porcupine, bats and other animals!

We had an amazing experience on our Sloth tour today. Sergio was the best and very informative. It was very educational and we got to see Sloths up close more than we could have imagined. 10/10 recommend.

We decided to take a tour of the rainforest while vacationing in Tamarindo . It was a great day of information and wildlife viewing. Besides seeing the wildlife we had the experience of making our own chocolate and coffee . The tour also included a waterfall stop a very nice lunch and hot springs stop on the return trip. Our guides Yuhan and Johnny were very knowledgeable and helpful.
The only negative issue was the traffic around Liberia on our return trip . When booked the tour we were told the tour would be 7am to 4 pm , we arrived back at 8 pm .

Tolle Sloth Tour! Guide David war super freundlich und hat alle Fragen kompetent beantwortet. Die zwei Stunden vergingen sehr schnell. Das Zuckerrohrsaft- und Tortilla-Machen war ein schönes Extra, aber das absolute Highlight waren die Natur und die vielen Tiere. Sehr empfehlenswert!

We had an amazing experience on the sloth tour! Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging, leading us through a 2-hour adventure where we learned about sloths—their biology, behavior, and lifestyle. Thanks to the guide’s eagle-eyed spotting skills, we saw many sloths up close, which was truly unforgettable.
The tour also included hands-on cultural experiences, like making tortillas and trying sugar cane, which made it even more fun and interesting. We also got to see and learn about other animals and plants along the way. Overall, it was both educational and highly enjoyable—a must-do for anyone visiting the area!

This was the best tour we did in this area to see sloths, we saw 6 plus a baby! One of them was close enough for us to see without the scope. It’s a lovely property, and not at all crowded. We also saw a toucan, bats, other animals and birds plus some amazingly bright flowers. The guide was really good, lots of information and allowed everyone plenty of time to take photos.
The sugar cane and tortilla making after was a fun addition the the morning.

Jamie was such a great guide! We really enjoyed our time, we took our 3yo and 1yo and it was very kid friendly. Saw a bunch of sloths and other animals/birds. The sweet water and tortillas were a great touch to end the tour.
