Very impressed Bret went above and beyond to help with getting an insurance claim on a damaged shingle roof. Insurance company was being very hard to work with and stalled for a couple of months. Bret kept working on it. He took the time to explain the advantages of the high quality Malarkie shingles and roofing system. I did a lot of research on the web and these shingles are top rated, The entire roof shingles removed and replaced in one day. The quality of work was exceptional and within budget. I am very pleased with the personal attention and extra time that Bret took on this project. The clean up after was well done. I am not a person that is easily pleased or takes the time for reviews but this company is truly exceptional.

We truly believe that God has a plan for everything and that plan brought Brett to our door at just the right time. A few weeks ago, we had a very frustrating experience with another company, Rome Exteriors. We paid them $3,500 for roofing work, and for three weeks, no one showed up. We called multiple times, got no clear answers, and started to feel hopeless and taken advantage of. Then one day, Brett from Slateston Construction LLC knocked on our door. From the first conversation, he was professional, kind, and very knowledgeable. He listened to our concerns, didn’t pressure us, and treated us with respect. Brett and the Slateston team followed through on everything they promised. The work was done quickly, cleanly, and with great care. We can honestly say that everything turned around because of Brett. Wonderful new roof, but beware if salesman offers a “finders fee” Had my roof checked by SlateStone construction while they were out replacing our neighbor’s roof. The gentleman was very helpful and did all the paperwork with out insurance comp lay. He told us that if we had any neighbors that needed their roofs replaced and we got our neighbor to go with his company, we would get a “finders fee”. We got two neighbors to go with this company, not for the money, but because we live in a community that looks out for one another. I am not writing this because we did not get a “finders fee” but to warn others not to trust all that is told to you.

Neighbor using this crew- shotty! Huge crew showed up and started working on the roofing just after 6am in the dark- with no lighting. Had untethered power tools like a circular saw used to cut black sheeting! and just set on the sloped roof. Used foam sofa cushions to sweep material off roof! Went outside to take my dog out now that I’m awake and workers were smiling and laughing at me. Shotty work, dangerous, and disrespectful crew. This size house should not have a whole roof replaced this fast. Yikes! Not my roof (so glad!) but would not recommend!!

During home inspection, we found the previous roofer had installed low efficiency vents, and our exhaust pipes had insufficient roofing clearance. With closing and an out-of-state move looming, our realtor put us in touch with Slate Stone Construction: good move. We worked exclusively with Troy and Ian: through Troy, we got our quote quickly and got the work scheduled within a couple of days. Despite their workload and a round of unseasonably inclement weather, Ian worked very diligently to get everything done as quickly and professionally as possible. Other than the new installations, he left zero construction footprint. Solid communication all the way through kept us connected and in the loop. During every phase, we appreciated their patience, attention to detail and can-do attitude. Were we remaining in San Antonio, we would certainly call on them again and feel very confident in referring them to those that are.

Made a call to slatestone and they sent Gary out. Gary was pro a f ! He helped me handle the insurance claim. He met the adjuster onsite and was able to get the new roof covered 100 percent by insurance. In these tough economic times I was thrilled to find my out of pocket was minimal for the project. Gary was there throughout the whole process communicating with me every step of the way. Answering my questions and making the process positive. The install turned out beautiful. They put down tarps and cleaned up very well. I sincerely appreciate slatestone construction and Gary for the great experience.

Roof Replacement With Solar The entire process from start to finish was seamless and without regret! Brian and his team communicated perfectly. We unfortunately had some storm damage to our roof and solar. SlateStone was able to get our new roof done in just 1 day and solar/battery re-attached without issue in just 1 additional day!
