Skye has been an invaluable resource for me! She has generously given her time—twice!—to answer questions and help me determine the next steps for me and my Clifford. She connected us with a trainer here in San Francisco we can start with and explained how that trainer could help us with a couple new tools. Skye genuinely cares about dogs and their humans, and has the knowledge and experience to provide meaningful guidance.
Skye worked miracles with our 5 year old field-line Golden Retriever - Nilla - who had severe leash aggression and an “always-on” disposition. She took time to get her acclimated to a new environment in Skye’s home, introduced an individualized training program that shifted Nilla’s focus and built sustainable behaviors that change the way Nilla shows up in our world. We now have a calm, confident dog who is a joy to have back in our household.
Skye’s behavioral science-based program works, and she follows through to make sure we are using the tools to maintain Nilla’s new behavior. Thank you, Skye!

Thank you so much for the kind words and for trusting me with Nilla. She is such a special dog, and it was an honor to be part of helping her find more calm, clarity, and confidence in the world.
Nilla came in with so much intensity and drive, and watching her learn how to settle, think, and make different choices was so rewarding. Her progress is a reflection of not only the work we did together, but also your commitment to following through and continuing to support her at home.
I’m so happy to hear that she feels like a joy to have back in the household. That is exactly what this work is about: helping dogs and their people live with more peace, freedom, and connection.
Thank you again for the trust. I’m so proud of Nilla and so grateful to have been part of her journey.

I was referred to Skye by another trainer when my dog started showing reactivity. My dog had never been around other dogs, so she was uncertain and nervous. After one session with Skye, she was able to see exactly what we needed to do and gave us a game plan. I noticed a change in my dog almost immediately. Skye’s communication is clear, direct, easy to understand, and puts the dog’s health first. I am so happy we were referred to her and I cannot recommend her more!

Thank you so much for this. I’m so glad you were referred my way, and I really have enjoyed getting to know both of you.
Clover is such a good dog, and it was so clear that she just needed more clarity, confidence, and support around other dogs. Reactivity can feel really stressful when you’re in it, so I’m really happy we were able to make things feel more manageable right away and give you a plan that actually made sense for her.
You’ve done such a great job advocating for her and putting her wellbeing first. I’m so excited to keep watching her grow. Thank you again for trusting me with her!

A life-changing experience for my family and our reactive dog.
I rescued my dog during COVID, and worked for several years with four different trainers before finding Skylar, always hitting a wall with his behavioral issues around strangers and other dogs. Too many trainers took a one-size-fits-all approach and never took the time to understand his temperament or background.
Skylar was completely different. From the start, I could tell she genuinely cared about his well-being, not just his obedience. She took the time to learn his history and crafted a custom training plan focused on building his confidence and his toolbox for stressful situations, and the results were remarkable.
We enrolled him in her board-and-train program, and she kept us updated throughout the entire process. When our dog came home, Skylar trained us for multiple sessions, making sure that both dog and humans were set up for success. My husband and I feel like we finally have a trusted partner in his care. My dog is calmer, happier, and able to participate in our lives more. We can enjoy walks/hikes together on a new level because we trust each other so much more.
If you have a rescue dog, a reactive dog, or have unmet needs from working with other trainers, I cannot recommend Skylar enough. She is life-changing.

Thank you so much for sharing this. Reading this two years after his program honestly makes it even more special.
Reactive dogs are rarely looking for someone to just “fix” them. They need someone to understand why they are struggling, what they need more of, what they need less of, and how to help their people communicate with them in a way that actually makes sense. Your dog had already been through so much before we met, and I’m so grateful you trusted me to look at the whole picture instead of trying to force him into a generic training plan.
The fact that he is still calmer, happier, more confident, and more included in your life two years later is the part that matters most to me. That is the real measure of success. Not just how things look at go-home, but how the training holds up in real life, with real people, real stressors, and real adventures.
You both deserve so much credit for continuing to advocate for him, support him, and follow through with the structure he needs. I
Thank you again.

Skye is the absolute best. She took the time to truly understand my Ridgeback Shaq and assess everything to know exactly what to work on for us to have a better life together and boy did it work! I have a list of miracles that I’ll share.
1. I just took Shaq out on a 30min walk in the neighborhood with NO leash!!! Unthinkable previously. Impossible previously! maybe even immediately after the intensive training but the plan Skye gives you actually progresses the dog over time if you follow the instructions and reinforce. I did no additional dog research or anything just followed her guidance.
2. Shaq holds down and just sits still. Until I tell her to stop! She listens!!! She wasn’t beaten to submission she just learned new ways of being through the right training.
3. I can hold her accountable for her behavior. She knows the rules. And I know she knows them. This is huge because you can’t enforce rules she doesn’t know. I knew this but never understood it previously. We have so much more love and peace and understanding.
There is more but I’ll leave it there. The outcome is that we have a new and stronger bond we never had before. Her personality isn’t different. She isn’t a new dog. She is the dog she was always meant to be or always wanted to be able to be. We intuitively communicate now and she contextually understands commands on where to be or go. I see the difference between independence and requests from her. I sense her needs better. And of course we are just so much happier together. I never worry that I can’t take her somewhere or that she will do destructive things. I hope my doggy lives forever but if I ever got another dog Skye would be my first call.

Thank you so much for this. Truly, this means the world to me.
The fact that Shaq’s program was six months ago and you’re still seeing this level of success is exactly why we do what we do. The biggest impact is never just what a dog can do at the end of training, it’s what that training continues to make possible months later when their person keeps showing up, reinforcing the plan, and building on the foundation.
Shaq has always been such a special dog, and seeing you two develop this kind of trust, clarity, freedom, and peace together is everything. I love that you said she isn’t a new dog, she’s the dog she was always meant to be. That is the goal.
You deserve so much credit for continuing the work, holding her accountable with fairness, and giving her the structure she needed to thrive without losing who she is. I’m so grateful I got to be part of your journey together, and I’m beyond proud of both of you.

We couldn't love Skylar more! We were first time dog owners and had NO idea what we were doing! Before our Cavapoo puppy even arrived she guided us through all things puppy. When we brought Tank home we were ready to confidently begin crate and potty training. Tank went through her Puppy Head Start program at 12 weeks and then the Dream Dog program at 6 months. Each time we were amazed at how well behaved he was when he returned to us.
Skylar makes everything so easy to follow and does the hard work for you. Her commands are simple and extremely effective- place, down, come, no. She's gentle but firm and has a great way of teaching us owners. She even incorporates our kids into the at home lessons so they can help keep up with the training. Tank loves other dogs and we think it's due to his early socialization at Skylar's.
Anytime we have questions she's gone out of her way to make sure we knew what to do. Whenever Tank sees Skylar or Aaron for tune-up trainings or boarding he is SO excited which makes us feel good. Tank loves them just as much as we do.
When we are complimented on Tank's behavior we always respond that all credit goes to Skylar. We are forever thankful to have been introduced to her! Skylar truly is a dream and someone I will always recommend to dog owners!

I feel incredibly lucky to have been part of your journey with Tank from the very beginning!
Tank is such a wonderful dog, but your family is a huge part of why he’s done so well. You’ve been thoughtful, committed, and so willing to learn, and I’ve loved getting to work with all of you.
Thank you for trusting me through each stage with Tank. I truly adore your family and never take that trust for granted. Being welcomed into your lives and getting to play a role in Tank’s journey means more than I can say.

I cannot speak highly enough of Skylar and the impact she has had on our lives by turning Stewart into the best dog! Honestly, the results speak for themselves but to provide a bit more detail we enrolled our 2 year old lab into her board and train program. Ahead of his visit, we had a consultation session and I was instantly at ease with entrusting our boy in her care. She understands dogs and is able to combine her knowledge and experience with the clients goals to get the outcomes desired. Through the process she was communicative, provided updates, had a few sessions that involved us, and then once he came home she provided follow up sessions to make sure we knew how to keep Stewart on the amazing path she created. It was clear that Stewart LOVED her and was quick to do anything she requested. She's a dog whisperer and I would highly recommend her to anyone. I can't sing her praises high enough.

Thank you so much. Stewart seriously cracked me up the entire time he was here and was such a fun dog to work with. He has so much personality, and getting to be part of helping him channel that into a more solid, easy-to-live-with version of himself was such a pleasure.
I really appreciate you trusting me with him and for taking the time to write this. People like you and Dogs like Stewart make the job a lot of fun, and it means a lot to hear that you felt supported through the whole process. I loved working with him and am so proud of you guys for continuing the work with him at home. He is a special one.

Thank you so much, Kate and Ben. Teddy was so fun to work with, and I really loved getting to train with you both. You were open, engaged, and willing to learn and try new things, which makes all the difference. You truly are my ideal family to work with, and I mean that sincerely. Teddy is incredibly lucky to have you, and I know you’re going to give him the best life ever.
TWO YEAR UPDATE:
We boarded our dog with Skylar and did a refresher course at the same time and it was the BEST decision! Our dog came back with a much better understanding of what is expected of her, and Skye spent two hours with us at the go-home lesson showing us new skills on how to work together with our dog. We always learn so much from her, and our quality of life with our dog is even better now!
We enjoy perfect heel walks and I trust her fully to be off leash on appropriate parts of our walks and hikes. Once again - if you are on the fence about sending your dog to training with Skylar, just do it! We always talk about how the investment is so worth it.

ORIGINAL:
We are absolutely blown away by our dog’s progress after her board and train with Skye and her team!
We sent our dog for training to address leash pulling, jumping, and resource guarding, amongst other things. From our initial interview, it was clear that Skye was extremely knowledgeable about dogs, and she was able to offer insights about our pup before even meeting her. It was a difficult decision to send our dog away for so long, but we could not be happier with our choice. It was clear that she was cared for so well with Skye, and we received lots of photos and videos of both training progress as well as fun hikes and river adventures that they went on over the weeks!
Our dog has returned calmer, more confident, and walking her is an absolute dream. We can’t believe she is the same dog! Skye was able to give us a lot of insight about our dog to help us better understand her needs, and our go home lessons have been extremely helpful - we’re learning so many new skills to be better trainers ourselves.
If you’re on the fence, just do it. We only wish we had worked with Skye sooner - thank you Skye’s the Limit!!

For the ultimate dog training experience Skylar Bickart is hands down the best! Shortly after our 15 year old Border Collie crossed the rainbow bridge my husband and I decided to bring home an adorable 8 week old female Border Collie puppy who we named Jura. We soon realized that it was important to have Jura professionally trained. After enrolling Jura in Skylar’s 6 week board and train program at the age of 6 months we now have an obedient 18 month old well mannered dog. Not only did Skylar train Jura, she educated us on many aspects of pet parenting. We are very confident with Jura’s recall when she is off leash which makes our hikes and park playtime very enjoyable. While at home Jura calmly settles down and fits in to our daily routine. Jura has grown from being a rambunctious puppy to a wonderful dream dog thanks to her extensive training with Skylar. Additionally, after her training we have twice booked Jura for boarding with Skylar while on holiday which made for a happy and familiar getaway for Jura. The ‘Skye’s the Limit’ method of training is well worth the investment as Skylar Bickart is a highly skilled professional dog trainer!

I’m really grateful for your continued trust in us with Jura and appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.

My baby, Maisie went to what I call “Skye’s doggy boot camp”. Three other trainers had given up on Maisie due to her stubbornness and ease of distraction. Once in Skyes the Limit, Maisie and I were able to communicate with each other and achieve a long lasting bond of trust. Now Maisie is well behaved and I often get compliments on what a good dog she is. Thank you, Skylar!

Thank you so much for this—what an awesome surprise to see after all this time! It’s been a few years since Maisie went home, and I don’t think we’ve connected since 2023, so reading this truly made my day. THANK YOU!
Maisie was such a memorable dog, and I love hearing that the communication and trust you built together have continued to hold up long-term. That’s always the goal here—real-world reliability and a strong bond that lasts well beyond the program, not just short-term results.
I’m genuinely stoked to hear she’s still doing so well and that you’re getting compliments on her behavior. Thank you for taking the time to come back and share this, and for trusting me with Maisie when you did. Give her a hug from me!

Skylar is truly one of a kind and the BEST at her craft. Entrusting our brand new, tiny Westie puppies to her for more than 10 weeks—from their earliest puppy stages through adolescence—was one of the best decisions we have ever made. Skylar doesn’t simply “train” dogs; she guides them with an extraordinary blend of skill, structure, patience, and genuine love. AND she does the same for their humans!
Our puppies lived in her home and received round-the-clock care, thoughtful socialization, and consistent, intelligent training that was clearly tailored to their developmental stages. Beyond the training itself, Skylar went above and beyond when our puppies needed vaccinations and even minor veterinary attention—handling everything with calm professionalism, compassion, and meticulous communication. Her level of responsibility and TLC gave us complete peace of mind.
The results speak for themselves: confident, well-mannered, happy dogs who clearly thrived under her care. Barely a hike or day goes by where we aren't complimented by strangers on how responsive and well behaved they are on the trail. We feel so fortunate to have found her. Skylar is exceptionally talented, deeply knowledgeable, and wholeheartedly committed to the well-being of every dog she works with. If you are looking for someone who treats your dogs as if they were her own—and elevates them to their very best—Skylar is simply unmatched. Highly, highly recommended.

Thank you so much for this—truly. Trusting someone with your puppies, especially for that long and during such a critical stage, is a huge deal, and I don’t take that lightly at all. I’m so grateful you chose me and allowed me to be part of their early lives.

Knowing you felt peace of mind while they were in my care means everything to me. Thank you for the trust, the kind words, and for being such wonderful humans. I’m so proud of these pups and so thankful for your continued support. Can't wait to see how they continue to grow:)

I met Skylar a few weeks ago after her kindly referring a client to me for service dog training! She had some questions about therapy work so we set up a time to chat. From that point forward we have stayed in touch and become good friends. Skylar is one of the most impressive women I have ever met. She is kind, talented and very very transparent. I respect that about her. She will steer you in the best direction possible and by far holds such high standards you are guaranteed a quality experience. If you’re thinking about booking with Skyes the limit… stop thinking about it and just do it. Her training is 10000% worth the investment!

So lucky to now call you a friend! Getting a recommendation from a fellow trainer is never something I take lightly. Here is to continuing to help families soar high with their best friends -Skye
Skye’s the Limit Dog Training is absolutely incredible. Skye was amazing to work with and so helpful with our golden doodle puppy, Olive. From the very beginning, it was clear that Skye truly knows what she’s talking about and has a deep understanding of dogs and how they learn.
What really sets Skye apart, is her ability to teach not just the dog, but the entire family. She helped us understand how to communicate clearly and consistently so Olive could be successful and confident as part of our family. We completed the Dream Dog Program and the results speak for themselves—we are able to live our busy lives and enjoy the company of Olive without the headache of having a dog who behaves poorly.
I would 1000% recommend Skye’s services and expertise to anyone considering dog training! It is an investment well spent to have the peace of mind you got this!

Thank you so much for this incredibly kind review — it truly means a lot to me. Olive has been such a fun dog to work with, and getting to support your whole family through the process is exactly why I do what I do.
I love that you highlighted the family piece, because Olive’s success really came from everyone being on the same page and learning how to communicate clearly and consistently. You all showed up for her, and it makes such a difference in building a confident, well-adjusted dog who fits seamlessly into a busy life.
I’m so proud of how far Olive has come and grateful you continue to trust me with her. Thank you again for the recommendation and for being such a wonderful family to work with.

Skye was the best decision we made for our pup. We wanted to bring him everywhere with us but with two young kids in toe, it was really challenging to focus on his training in public and keep track of the tiny humans. Not only are we now better equipped to integrate him in with our lives but Skye is just a text away to answer any questions. She’s always checking in making sure it’s going okay. It’s not just training our dog but she taught us everything we needed to know, ensuring we were packed with knowledge, so we could continue where she got us and reinforce everything that she taught him. I’m so thankful! And now we can enjoy walks through the woods, carefree lake days, and eat out at restaurants with the whole family. I no longer feel guilty leaving him at home because now it’s easier and more fun to get his exercise in at the same time we’re getting the kids out of the house. Highly, highly recommend Skye!!

Working with Skylar has been such a gift for Sunni and Vinni. Both pups arrived with their own quirks and challenges, and Skylar took the time to understand exactly what each needed. With endless patience, clear guidance, and true kindness, Skylar helped them grow in confidence, focus, and overall behavior. The sessions were not only effective but also fun and perfectly tailored to their personalities. I’m incredibly grateful—Sunni and Vinni are now calmer, happier, and truly thriving. Highly recommend!

We sent our two standard poodles (Schmidt, 11 months old at the time, and Klaus, 5 months old at the time) to Skylar for her 5-week Dream Dog Program, and a couple months after our dogs returned, we sent them back to Skylar for a 3-week follow-up board-and-train program focusing on their off-leash skills. Skylar’s services cost a lot, but we feel it is a fair value given how much of an improvement both we and our dogs have experienced in our quality of life together after Skylar’s training. Schmidt’s recall used to be non-existent; after Skylar, it’s light years better (not perfect, but reliable). My younger puppy, Klaus, returned with improved crate and leash manners. Thanks to Skylar, both dogs now know how to settle down and listen in and outside of the house. It feels so amazing to be able to walk both of my dogs off-leash heeling by my side, pass by other dogs, and have my dogs stay calm, obedient, and not go crazy. We get comments all the time about how well behaved our dogs are. We think it’s IMPERATIVE for dog owners who are considering hiring Skylar to understand that it’s not 100% on Skylar to train your dog for you: it’s on you as the owner to keep up on your dog’s training, stay consistent with whatever she teaches you about handling your dog, and utilize Skylar as the great resource she is after your dog has come home to you. Skylar is excellent because she offers support, is there to answer questions, and provides follow-up feedback and critique of our handling and beyond (which we invite and appreciate—I joke that she trains us as the owners, too). Skylar is very knowledgeable on basically all topics related to dogs, e.g., health, overall wellness, how their brains work, holistic alternatives, etc. We highly recommend Skylar and her Skye’s The Limit Dream Dog Program.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and detailed review! I have loved working with your entire family. Watching the boys grow into calm, responsive, and happy dogs has been so rewarding!
You hit the nail on the head about the importance of owner follow-through. The real magic happens when you take what we’ve built together during training and keep it going at home. I love seeing how much effort you’ve put in to maintain that consistency — it’s what makes all the difference.
Thank you again for trusting me with your pups and for being such dedicated, engaged owners. You’ve truly set Schmidt and Klaus up for a lifetime of success!
