As an Emerald member with the oneworld alliance, I have always received complimentary seat selection on partner airlines. That changed with Royal Jordanian. I paid $140 for two seats that were clearly shown as a two seat row. When my wife and I boarded, we discovered the row actually had three seats. No one pays extra for a middle seat -- ever.
My seat number was k6 and the seat has no cushion whatsoever, I had to stack pillows and blanket to prevent back pain
Most incompetent company I've had to deal with. Called someone in Detroit to get information about the plane and flight, he gives me another number to call I believe it was in Chicago. I call that number, another person tells me we don't handle this, you have to call another number. Called that number, that person gave me the original Detroit number. I called Detroit back, another person answers and gives me the information I was asking to begin with. Not done yet. I finally check in and get on the plane, plane was gorgeous and flight attendants for most part were very hard working. Half the people on this flight were idiots, loud, arrogant, dirty and bathrooms even after a couple hours in flight were dirty, urine on the floor, clogged up sinks. Absolutely disgusting!!!! Like a fourth world country on a top of the line plane. I will never ever fly Royal Jordanian again!!!! Would rather pay twice as much and get to Amman in 3 days then fly this airline. Rather take any other airline that go through that hell again.
unacceptable baggage claim handling
My experience with Singapore Airlines was extremely disappointing when it came to handling a damaged baggage claim. Despite reporting the issue immediately upon arrival and submitting all required documentation, the follow-up process has been slow, unclear, and frustrating. Communication has been inconsistent, and resolving what should be a straightforward reimbursement has felt unnecessarily difficult and drawn out. At times, it has felt like a lack of accountability and transparency in how post-travel issues are managed, which is surprising given the airline’s reputation. That said, the onboard experience from Sydney to Singapore and onward to Bangkok was excellent. The crew were professional, attentive, and genuinely outstanding, and the seating and overall comfort were of a very high standard. It is disappointing to see such a clear gap between the excellent in-flight service and the handling of customer issues after travel.
Singapore Airlines -Bad attitude and poor show
Yesterday (02May2026), the CCU-SIN flight started off but had to return to base due to tech failure. We had to sit in the flight and she flew 2 hrs later. Missed the connecting flight, they gave the next available flight from SIN to HKG, which was after 1 hour but got very bad seats, no money refund for what I paid for reserving good seats! In fact in such cases, considering only 6 passengers for SIN-HKG flight and so many empty seats in business and premium economy, they should have given free upgrades! Overall, very bad experience !
Paris to Changi
recently flew with Singapore Airlines on a 14-hour long-haul flight. While there were several high points, a few significant issues made the journey quite uncomfortable. The Positives Outstanding Staff: The cabin crew was exceptional. They were professional, attentive, and maintained the high standard of service Singapore Airlines is known for. Punctuality: The flight was perfectly on time. No delays in departure or arrival, which I really appreciated. Delicious Dining: The food was very good. Every meal was well-prepared, flavorful, and definitely better than standard airline catering. The Negatives Freezing Cabin Temperature: This was the biggest issue. It was extremely cold for the entire 14 hours. Despite using blankets, the air conditioning was so aggressive that I actually ended up getting sick because of it. Outdated Entertainment: I was disappointed with the KrisWorld system on this flight. The movie selection felt very old, and there were no games available for children on the screens. Keeping a child entertained for 14 hours without interactive options was quite a challenge. Verdict: Great service and food, but please bring a heavy sweater and your own entertainment (especially for kids) because the cabin is like an icebox and the media library is lagging behind!
Staff were incredibly gracious and attentive
Hot towels, excellent service, long haul flight, food was great, meal service and the staff incredibly attentive, gracious and kind in all matters. We travelled to Amsterdam with a 3-4 hour layover in Singapore and on Amsterdam and did the reverse for the return. All legs the staff were the standout.
TELL THE TRUTH
Hoping to avoid the appetiser and entree I asked for the main meal instead. YES certainly she replied after we take off I will heat it for you. I wondered when after take off would be. Waiting .......waiting.....waiting Hoping to sleep sooner than later No main meal no nothing till the entree was being served. Then I asked again... blank stare no idea.I felt very stupid for asking. Finally the lamb chops came barely warm the plate looked a mess.I was sorry I bothered.Should gave bought a sandwich along Be honest with passengers.
Very good as usual
A long flight so the comfortable seats, good food and the next class service made for a very pleasant flight and in my opinion premium economy is worth the higher fare - I have flown this route before and the new midday arrival time was far better than the previous very early morning for onward flights only leaving in the evening.
over-rated premium economy
1st time flying premium economy on singapore airlines and it is just over-rated. not much more premium than their economy. As usual with all my other flights with singapore airlines, I have always found their cabin crews to be over-friendly and over-polite to the point of faking it. On this particular flight, one of the cabin crew in their green uniform was faking her smile while serving lunch - she was so overdoing it to the extent that she actually looked like she was frowning. It was however, very entertaining to watch. Food portion was good. Entertainment was good - plenty of choices. Free in-flight wifi which is a bonus. Seat quality not as comfortable as you would expect from the premium economy product. It felt like economy seat with slightly more legroom. All in all, I would fly with singapore airlines again just not their premium economy.
Business Class, Budget Whiskey? Premium Promise, Plain Pour
I am writing to share feedback about an unpleasant experience on a recent business-class flight. The in-flight menu listed Hibiki whisky, and I ordered it expecting the branded pour described. The cabin crew informed me that Hibiki has not been served for some time and that the menus in the cabin are outdated. I was told the airline is waiting for the remaining printed menus to run out before replacing them. I understand inventory and sourcing can be challenging, but this felt misleading and disappointing. Business class passengers pay a premium for accurate service and the experience advertised. It is hard to reconcile an airline that can absorb large investments US$2.4 billion in Air India and yet allows its premium menu to remain incorrect for extended periods. Clear, up-to-date information about available beverages is a basic expectation. Also serving cheap whiskeys on business class flight. How is the possible that this is world class???On my recent flight on Sri lankan Airlines, I was pleasantly surprised to note that they served Chivas 18 years scotch whiskey.
A recommander !!
INCONSIDERATE AIRLINES EVER
Think about it people before booking with SIA, I WILL NEVER AGAIN FLYING WITH SINGAPORE AIRLINES ! Such an inconsiderate airline ever ! Heartless and disgusting that only think to earn and no sympathy with your situation, no empathy ! NEVER AGAIN WITH THIS AIRLINES, i have same situation happened with QATAR AIRLINES , but theyre never treated , or handle me like this ! Always choose an airline that has a heart for their passengers and not only wants to earn, And SIA IS NOT ONE OF THEM , yes its a business but atleast see the situation , and do not always resolve the problem with emptying the pockets of you PASSENGERS.
Declined over the years.
So disappointed by the service of staff. If you need to pay additional amounts to buy seats to sit next to your spouse, it really is heading towards a budget airline. The food has declined and the service. We use to love this airline but will go back to Emirates at this stage.
Always a great way to fly!
Still a great way to fly, after all these years. I am a Singapore girl. By that, i mean i am born and bred in Singapore, not that i am one of the legendary stewardesses of SIA who always look immaculate in their beautifully-coiffed hair with not a strand out of place, and their figure-hugging sarong kebaya that is their uniform. As a seasoned budget solo traveller who likes to keep fixed costs down, i dont always choose to fly on SQ, but whenever a good deal arises, you can find me at the top of the line to get their tickets. Got a great deal on this one way ticket from Seattle to Singapore for only around S$700, which was truly a bargain and steal. Almost had an unpleasant incident on the flight when two heavy-set, burly fellow passengers eyed the two empty seats in my row (i was in the middle seat) that afforded extra legroom and just demanded to sit there. They didnt even ask the staff initially, but when the stewards were alerted to their unilateral change of seat, the stewards talk them down from their unreasonable demands (it would not have been fair to other economy seat passengers who also saw the empty seats but had the decency or common courtesy not to switch seats unilaterally) and one of them an empty seat at my row, and the other at another row, so everyone could sit more comfortably. Very impressed by the professionalism shown by the staff. The toilets were kept routinely clean and dry during the 15-hour flight, and staff were very attentive to the needs of passengers. The movie selection is great as usual with the latest blockbusters and even live TV so i was able to watch BBC News and a spot of sports, like tennis and basketball. Food was fantastic and the crew kept the plane well fed and hydrated throughout. Big shoutout to the excellent work by Nooraini, Kenn and their entire team!
No sympathy, no flexibility, no chance of a refund
Unfortunately, due to the current senseless events in the world, our trip to Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore had to be cancelled. Our two main flights were refunded by the airlines and all of the hotels we had booked very wonderful, especially the Paradox in Singapore, and fully understood that through no fault of our own we were unable to fulfil our bookings and granted us discretionary refunds, which they were not obliged to do. The glaring exception was Singapore Airlines. There attitude was that they flight took of and if you couldn't make it, tough luck. They showed no sympathy and didn't care about the fact that we had flown with them on multiple occasions on the past and were planning to do so in the future. Profiting from other people's misfortune may be good for their balance sheet in the short term but in my humble opinion it is disgraceful behaviour by a company that regards themselves and the world best airline. Even the offer of a partial credit towards a future booking would have been nice but sadly they didn't seem to care.
business class seat and catering
787 business class seat ultra cramped , unconfortable, food very poor quality as it became the norm on sq flights Premium, top tier airline.. not sure why Their seats are not comfortable , very hard , no mattress even in first class, business class food is not business class standard each and every experience is a disappointment and service can be amazing or it can be a miss, with some arrogant stewardess clearly not happy to be here.
Arnaque statut kryflyer
