The Shutter by Rae team did the shutters for our nursery and we are so happy with the results! They removed our old shutter, disposed of it, made us a custom shutter and installed it. The turn around time for our custom shutter was very fast. Donna was a pleasure to work with; she was so communicative and helpful. Her team was punctual, efficient, and cleaned up after themselves. The experience with Donna was OUTSTANDING. Came to the house and went over options with wife and I. I knew the shutters was what would look the best. Wife was not convinced but knew we needed to do something. Wife mind was changed once the shutters were installed. SHE LOVES THEM. And yes the shutters was what I was expecting. And the price, well better that expected. I shopped and Donna was a clear winner on the price. The install was flawless.
I would give Shutters By Rae the highest ratting. In fact my contractor saw her work asked for her contact info...

Shutters price was 1/4th the cost of Lowe's which is insane. I was worried about quality but found out she did my neighbors shutters as well and they had nothing but good things to say. We ended up doing 10 windows and 1 door for less than what Lowe's quoted us for 4 windows. The entire team was very professional and they arrived sooner than she quoted. I never write reviews but I want to support this amazing Local Company!

A absolutely LOVE my new shutters and I highly recommend using Shutters by Rae! Look no further, the shutters are beautiful and came in at a substantially lower price than I was expecting. I had a very minor problem with one of the shutters and it was immediately fixed. Also, her installers were wonderful and a pleasure to have in my home. I recently purchased 19 plantation shutters from Shutters by Rae and am offering this review in the hope that it will benefit others considering a similar purchase. Prior to contacting Donna Rae Capito, I had seen her ad in the local 908 magazine and had also seen her “Shutters by Rae” SUV parked in her driveway while walking my dog to a nearby park. Since I’ve always been a proponent of supporting local home-grown businesses, I decided to contact Donna so I texted her on a Sunday afternoon and was not expecting a reply until the next business day; however, she responded within an hour and was at my house the next day to do some reconnaissance prior to preparing an estimate.
Initially, I was only planning on purchasing a dozen shutters; however, upon receiving Donna’s quote, I found the cost to be much lower than anticipated (in comparison with per square foot shutter cost information readily available on the internet). So, I decided to add another six shutters and a bi-fold closet door to the order. I opted to purchase domestically produced shutters so they were ready to install in two weeks, with the exception of a custom-made octagonal window shutter, which took an extra couple weeks to produce and install.
Prior to placing my order, I asked Donna for references. She provided four references. I contacted all four and was able to reach three of them, each of whom provided glowing references for Donna’s company.
Eighteen of the 19 shutters were installed in a single day with the octagonal shutter being installed a couple of weeks later. The installation process went smoothly although there was a bit of a hiccup with the clean-up (while all my prior window coverings including drapes and mini-blinds were removed from my house and disposed of per my directions, several pieces of small hardware were left behind for me to dispose). When I brought this to Donna’s attention, she immediately offered to send her installer back to remove the hardware left behind or issue a credit to my account. I chose the latter.
Throughout the whole process, from my initial contact on a Sunday afternoon until project completion, Donna was in constant contact with me via text and/or phone, always keeping me up-to-date on the status of my order and the pending installation (even when she was on a brief vacation). As a small businessperson myself, I truly appreciate Donna’s responsiveness. Good communication is the most important aspect of any business, and Donna excels at it.
I have been very happy with the high quality shutters Donna provided and highly recommend you give Donna a chance to meet your needs if you’re in the market for some new shutters. You won’t be disappointed.

I had three vendors come out to my home to provide me with estimates for shutters & installation. It was easy to choose which vendor I wanted to do business with. Donna from Shutters by Rae by far had the best customer service & knowledge of shutters & the installation. She didn't pressure me for a sale or give me any deadlines.
