I cannot recommend this nursery more. My son has been in the baby room since September and the care and commitment shown to all the babies individually is just so wonderful to see. Emily his key worker is so gentle and encouraging of all my son’s developments however small, and keeps me informed everyday on how he has been. All of the staff here from Annika the nursery manager to Lisa the Sen co and all of the ladies in the baby room treat your child like a member of their own family.
I went to see several nursery’s in the area and I just knew this was the one the moment we stepped through the door. I couldn’t be happier with the care given to my little boy.
Our daughter has been attending Shorncliffe nursery since she was 11 months old and is now 15 months, and we truly couldn’t be happier with our experience. In just a few short months, her development has come along so beautifully. She’s grown in confidence, communication, and independence, and it’s been incredible to watch her flourish.
The baby room is such a nurturing, warm, and caring environment. From the very beginning, we felt reassured by how gentle, attentive, and responsive the staff are. They create such a calm and supportive space where little ones feel safe to explore, play, and learn.
Emily, her key worker, has been absolutely amazing at building a relationship with her. The bond they’ve formed is so lovely to see and gives us so much reassurance. Emily has taken the time to truly understand her personality, her routines, and what makes her smile. Our daughter is always so happy and excited to see her in the mornings, which says everything.
I genuinely look forward to the updates we receive at the end of each day. It’s so reassuring and heartwarming to hear what she’s been up to, from the smallest milestones to the highlights of her day. The range and diversity of activities they do with children so young is impressive — from sensory play and creative activities to building gross motor skills, outdoor time, and social play. It’s clear that so much thought and care goes into planning meaningful experiences for them.
Most importantly, we feel completely comfortable leaving her there each day. Knowing she is safe, loved, and thriving in such a nurturing environment gives us real peace of mind. We are so grateful to the whole team and would wholeheartedly recommend this nursery to any parent.

The ladies that work here brought our girl out of her shell so much in the year she spent here, she started of quite shy and her confidence just grew and grew. The kids are greeted at the door in the mornings with a smile and they always have time for a chat with the parents if needed, we have already signed our newborn up to join next year,

An exceptional nursery in all aspects. The Manager and Deputy are very professional and every single staff member nurtures children and gives of their absolute best. We felt privileged to have sent our son here and he is now achool ready thanks to Shorncliffe Nursery. Thank you to the whole team for the most beautiful of childhood memories.
When my son turned up 2 years ago he was painfully shy, hated loud noises and being touched. He has just left a confident, happy little boy and so ready for school. Shorncliffe Nursery have been amazing throughout, supportive to not only my son but to me aswell. He has coping mechanisms to help manage his hypersensitive hearing and is confident in letting everyone know his needs. After a not so good experience before coming here, there is nowhere else I'd send my children and I look forward to my daughters coming here in September.
Our daughter has been so happy at Shorncliffe nursery. We moved from London just over a year ago and she settled in really quickly. All the staff have been wonderful and they really care about the children and their families.
The morning and after-school club have been really helpful for us juggling work.
We love and trust this nursery so much that our youngest will be starting in the baby room in September and we have no doubt she’ll be just as happy here.

I am absolutely delighted with how well our son is doing with the help of these lovely, big hearted ladies. Our 3 year old sons english, isn't first language so, I was so worried about him to begin with.. but he made friends and with the support from the ladies , within a few months, he is much more confident with it and communities very well.
They have a lovely outside area, take children to the close by park . There is spacious little woods by the nursery where children play and have events organised such as sports day etc. Which is a huge bonus for children, who love to be outside.
I am so very glad to have found such a lovely place for our son to be! Highly recommended.
The best nursery I could have hoped to have for my children. So welcoming, friendly and full of kind hearted staff. I never worried about my 2 children whilst they were in their care.
I can not express how amazing this nursery is shorncliffe has help me fight so hard for my little girl to get her autism assessment my little girl went to a different nursery before shorncliffe since moving to shorncliffe she has come such a long way with her speech making new friends and being able to just be herself with all the help she needed shorncliffe have just been so amazing I saw a change in my little girl so quickly I signed my little boy to go here within 3 weeks of her being here if that doesn't speak volumes I don't know what does. The staff are so amazing at supporting each child's individual needs as well as helping the family where they can I really can not express how amazing this nursery really is and how much help and support they have given me and my family this past year and how much they have helped my little girl grow
I couldn’t have sent my daughter to a better nursery, she absolutely thrived.
- She was so well looked after and cared for, she would come home after every session and tell me “mummy, they make my heart so happy”
- Amazing communication, I was always kept up to date on her progress and on how her day went in general. She didn’t have a single bad day at nursery, she was always so excited to be there.
- Sarah is a fabulous KeyPerson! I really felt that every milestone was celebrated, even the small ones. She made the whole process of sending my daughter to nursery super comfortable which i greatly appreciate.
- The ladies that work here are just so lovely, they really care about the work that they do and it shows. I’ll miss all of their friendly faces in the morning!
