we had the absolute best experience with shirley acres for our wedding! from the very beginning, the staff made us feel so supported and cared for. bob shirley, stacie, and kat were all incredibly kind, attentive, and professional! every detail was handled with such care and heart. we truly felt like we were in great hands the entire way through.
the venue itself is stunning, and the food… wow. our guests are still talking about how good everything was! major shout out to chef felipe — every bite was delicious!

We had our wedding at Shirley Acres in January 2025 (250 guests including 50 kids), and loved every minute of the experience from the time we went for the initial visit through the day of our wedding. From the start, we appreciated their outstanding customer service.
Both Bob (the owner) and CC (our coordinator) were wonderful and attentive to all our questions, concerns, and requests. This included allowing us to bring in Crumbl cookies instead using their wedding cake vendor and created a beautiful display for the cookies. They were also able to facilitate the seamless integration of 15 babysitters as we hosted babysitting onsite for our guests.
We rented out the entire property and had cocktail hour in the Pavilion and reception in the Garden Room. Both rooms were beautifully decorated, and the flowers were exactly what I wanted - simple, subtle, and elegant.
During the reception, CC kept everything running smoothly so my husband and I didn't have to worry about anything. The food was incredibly delicious - a reason to book this as your venue all on it's own.
Lastly, Shirley Acres was a perfect venue for the simple fact that it's an all-inclusive. The only thing we had to book outside of them was our photographer and hair/makeup. It made the whole wedding preparation process so much easier than I expected. We are so grateful we were able to have our reception here and would do it again in a heartbeat.
Absolutely 5 stars. My wife and I got married in January of 2024 (I am a procrastinator and never posted my review). Kristie (coordinator) and the entire team were amazing. Many of our guests told my wife and I that it was truly a love filled wedding and it would not have been possible without Kristie and everyone at Shirley Acres. The grounds are stunning, and there are multiple ways you can plan out your wedding depending on size or if you want indoor/outdoor. I think the pricing was more than reasonable. Considering how beautiful everything is. This location is maybe the best value in Houston. The recommended vendors (photo/dj/cake) were professional and did wonderful jobs. Plus THE FOOD WAS AMAZING. If you want a venue and a team that cares about you choose Shirley Acres. Bonus points if you have Kristie as your coordinator (everyone is still great too).
