Best place to introduce your friends to Omakase! The staff were friendly and attentive. The restaurant is a chill and casual vibe. On top of that, the fish was surprisingly affordable for such fantastic quality. A couple favorites were the Sablefish with yuzu pepper and the Salmon with Foie gras. And big thanks to Danny for the cash back discourse and the cup of ice!

Don’t overthink : go! The best accessible omakase style sushis you would find in NYC. Fantastic Tuna, marvelous uni, delicious sweet shrimps. Perfect service and drinks.

Easily one of the best-value omakase experiences in NYC. I’ve tried 5+ omakase spots ranging from $69–$350 per person, and this is the only one where I immediately thought, “I need to come back.” The vibe is fun and laid-back, and the sushi is incredibly fresh. Loved every minute and every bite.

Delicious omakase. Every bite was perfect from start to finish. We loved it! Went to celebrate my birthday, we were able to bring in our own wine. This was a great experience. Would highly recommend!

We were seated over 10 mins after our scheduled time and the omakase was much quicker than I have experienced in other places (it was supposed to be for an hour but finished in half an hour). I think they like to take the last 15-20 mins or half an hour to let people order more food but it becomes a non-enjoyable and super quick experience for people who are just there for the omakase.

Sorry Payal, we only have 60 min to work with to retain the $69 pricing. I am sorry for the inconvenience, we normally finish in 45 min and give customer to wrap up and order a la carte.
We’ve been to a few omakases in the city around the same price point and Shinzo has been one of the most disappointing experiences. The fish were prepared very sloppy which made it look very unappetizing.
We had a great time here for our anniversary. The 13-courses were so delicious! They also gave a nice handwritten card for the occasion
Went for a guys weekend visit to NYC and this was the highlight of the weekend. Incredible service, top tier omakase and a fantastic value. Paid twice as much for not as good quality food or service, will definitely revisit my next trip to New York.
Amazing service and fresh fish. Accommodated to allergies and gave a complimentary dish for my birthday. Props to the chef and server.
