Camping bien équipé pour les voyageurs en tente.

Erstmal Danke, das die Buchung über das Internet so einfach war wie die Bestellung einer Pizza. Der Campingplatz liegt an einer idyllischen Anfahrtstrasse. Die sanitären Einrichtungen sind alt, aber zweckmäßig und sauber. Der Betreiber ist unkompliziert und sehr nett gewesen. Preis/Leistung war super. Der Platz liegt ca. 45 Minuten von der Giants Causeway und eine Stunde von Belfast entfernt. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt es vor Ort oder nah am Platz leider nicht. Und auch WLan ist nicht vorhanden. Auch der Mobilfunkempfang ist leider kaum gewährleistet. Aber - wer Ruhe sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Danke für die schönen Tage.
Clean, quiet, good value site with a great on site pub. Pitches were a great size and we were able to get electric hook up for our tent. Bathroom facilities were excellent with very hot showers! Great to see the games room/inside area, would be great to take advantage of this in less favourable weather! Hosts Colin and his family were very friendly and happy to chat to us in the bar. We found Sperrin to be a good base to go out to other attractions in the area and very beautiful for driving and walking.
We hebben hier deze zomer een paar nachten verbleven. De camping is ruim en ligt op een prachtige en rusige plek. Voorzieningen zoals toilet en douche zijn schoon en netjes onderhouden.
Het grootste pluspunt is de supervriendelijke eigenaar. Hij is altijd paraat voor een praatje in de traditionele Ierse pub die te vinden is op de camping. Het is leuk ingericht en het assortiment is ruim.
We hebben ons enorm vermaakt en raden iedereen aan om hier een nacht te verblijven!
Vanuit Dungloe naar Shepherds Rest gereden en daar 4 dagen met onze caravan gestaan. De eerste indruk was, waar zijn we terecht gekomen. Er stonden behalve onze caravan nog twee caravans. De ontvangst was zeer vriendelijk en we mochten zelf een plek uitzoeken. Ruime plaatsen met elektrische en wateraansluiting. De toiletten en douches zijn zeer schoon en in een zaal staan twee pooltafels en een tafeltennistafel. Maar verrassend was de pub. Hier straalde het een en al gezelligheid. Dit kwam niet in de laatste plaats door de eigenaar Collin. Zeer vriendelijk en geïnteresseerd in de klanten. Vanuit de camping mooie uitstapjes gemaakt naar de Giant causeway, Stone Circle en Belfast. Tekenend voor de goede zorgen van Collin was wel op het moment dat wij wilden vertrekken, we ontdekten dat de bodem bescherming van de auto los zat. Collin dook als een ervaren monteur onder de auto en 10 minuten later reden we weg. Ik kan deze camping alleen maar aanbevelen en als ik ooit weer in de buurt kom, zal ik hem zeker bezoeken.
Stayed on the campsite, Lovely owner who showed us to a choice of a few spots, Ground is great for tent pegs, toilets clean, tidy and well stocked with the essentials. Busy wee spot on the weekend but noise died down at reasonable time. Would 100% return here again!! And of course dog friendly!!
Stayed for a few days during the week and couldn’t fault this site at all. Really great, showers and toilets are very clean. The entire site is clean - and well laid out, so everyone has space. (We were in a tent, in some previous sites it has felt like the tents are a little too close together). We were able to play pool in the games room and take our dog into the bar with us. There are also loads of dog walks only a short drive away - we went to Lough Fea which was a lovely walk. The Shepherds Rest pub outside seating area is really impressive too and I’d say is lovely on a sunny day! Price is great too. No phone signal on site - but it made our trip more enjoyable to get off our phones. Highly recommend - have recommended to friends and we will definitely be back again.
A great pub for a lovely pint of Guinness. The staff are very friendly, and the décor is traditional Irish — complete with a real fire that’s always burning. The best part? You can bring your dog in, and they’ll even get a bowl of iced water. A warm, welcoming spot that truly goes the extra mile.
Beautiful setting and good facilities. There is little to do in the area itself but there are nearby towns/villages not far away. Quite a few nature walks around the area. The price is really fair and there is a pub!! Very little mobile signal, you can get it at the highest point if needed.
