THE BEST holiday in Sri Lanka organised by Sesatha Travel Pty Ltd I was looking online for an Ayurvedic Retreat Centre, originally in Kerala and then decided Sri Lanka would suit me better. I have been there a coupe of times over 40 years, loved the country and decided to return.I was browsing some websites when I got a phone call from a travel agent in Brisbane, this was great to have someone in Australia who was familiar with all things Sri Lankan having been born there. From the first phone call the whole journey was a very pleasant experience and nothing was too much trouble for Shehan the owner and director of the company Sesatha Travel. He organised every little detail, from getting picked up at the airport and taken to my accommodation, then to my destination for two weeks. He liaised with the Kandy Samadhi Centre to meet all my needs and then even booked me a train ticket when it was time to leave. His contacts in Sri Lanka were professional, kind and very helpful. I felt safe at all times.I highly recommend Sesatha Travel if you are contemplating a trip to Sri Lanka.

Shehan put together a fantastic 16 day itinerary for our trip to Sri Lanka. The mix of locations was well planned with plenty to do and also opportunities to relax - the hotels were excellent and our driver Nilu was great. We had a great time - highly recommended.

Perfect Mix of Adventure and Relaxation I booked a family tour with Sesatha Travels and couldn’t be happier with the service. Coming from Melbourne, we are Sri Lankans who wanted a mix of adventure and relaxation, and Sesatha delivered on all fronts.Our safari in Wilpattu was unforgettable, and my wife loved the visit to the turtle hatchery in Kosgoda. Excellent, unique and tailored trip to Sri Lanka Absolutely can highly recommend Sesatha Travel. Shehan has of course an in depth knowledge of his country making it a very special trip with inside knowledge. Whilst we had an itinerary in our minds, Shehan was able to fine tune it, recommend some other sights as well as recommending some other hotels that were not on our radar, and what fabulous hotels they turned out to be. Shehan booked all the hotels and our flights and arranged everything with our amazing tour guide for the trip, Nilu. Everything was within our budget adding to the enjoyment of beautiful Sri Lanka.

Wandering Sri Lanka An enjoyable experienceAn excellent guide/driver keen to enlighten or detour to our whimWe’ve seen such a variety across our travels including:-impressive archeology-Sculptors chipping historic/mythic scenes onto granite panels-Artisans casting brass figures for temples etc -Animals in their natural habitat - massive aquatic monitors (Varanus ) in the mangroves, families of elephant, mongoose, leopards, jungle fowl, peacocks …-Organic farms dealing with long dry seasons, elephant incursions and monkeys-An abundance of tropical fruits and local veg. production - mostly non-organicWe loved: -very friendly people-Great Ayurverdic massages-And gemstones, Sri Lanka’s most famous product together with tea-The trees often majestic including immigrant Eucalyptus (Australian) and Swietenia ( S. American mahogany ) together with native Mara, Jackfruit and Neem. Silky Oak (Aus) scattered throughout the tea plantations would provide bursts of orange in spring-A truly verdant landscapeWe left with some understanding of the economic and social problems facing the populous with growth in their reliance on tourism being a major goal of the gov. We hope they minimise ‘tar & cement’ to achieve their goals.
