Nice camp with great service and comfortable accommodation. The hippos near the tents were a unique experience, although they can be very loud at night.
Unfortunately, all four people in our group got stomach issues after eating the packed lunch, and another tour group reported the same problem as well. Therefore only 3 stars.
Apart from that, we enjoyed our stay and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. If you are very careful with the food, I can still recommend staying here.
As someone who has travelled extensively, I can confidently say that Serenity Mara Legends Camp ranks among the best safari experiences I’ve had.
The camp's location is exceptional, as it sits by the banks of the Olare Orok River. Sitting on the deck and watching hippos in their natural habitat felt like something out of a documentary. It added a layer of authenticity that is hard to replicate.
The level of professionalism here is remarkable. Every aspect of the camp, from check-in to daily activities, is handled with efficiency and attention to detail. The staff are well-trained, courteous, and genuinely committed to delivering a world-class experience for all the guests.
The food was outstanding throughout my stay. Each meal was beautifully presented, with a thoughtful menu that catered to a range of tastes. Dining while overlooking the river was a highlight in itself. I also enjoyed the Longe Bar, as they had great cocktails, and the evening setup was amazing.

Lovely experience with very friendly and welcoming staff
The staff were incredible and so welcoming. The catered and gave so much attention to us all. The food was amazing and they even allowed us to order food that wasn't on the menu. The rooms were very tidy and clean and before coming I had reservations about the room/tent but it was very lovely and the staff again were so lovely, providing hot water bottles in the night. The only thing I would say is the hippos can be loud at night but that's no fault on the camp. Overall a lovely experience and would recommend to everyone to come here.

A very special experience
Fantastic camp , staff are really friendly and ensure you are well looked after. The tents are great and well equipped. The hippos in the pool next to the camp can be noisy but also add to the experience. The food is fantastic special mention to Chef Benson. All the staff are great but special mention to Natasha and Richard.

We came with Discovery Expeditions & Adventures for an African Safari. This was a new camp for them to stay at and it was absolutely fantastic! The people are wonderful; friendly, informative, and just so accommodating. The property is gorgeous and the accommodations and food were comfortable and very good! I hope to come back someday!

A highly memorable experience
Our stay at Serenity Mara was really special. We came as a family of 6, including a small child. Would highly recommend the bush breakfast and sundowner. We enjoyed views of hippos at breakfast and lunch, along with a cosy fire in the evenings. The staff are warm and attentive, with special mention for: George, John, David and Natasha for their excellent hospitality and friendly service. JJ for his memorable entertainment Jimmy & Nicholas for some excellent chicken curry and overall great food. Lilliana and housekeeping for making sure our rooms are comfortable.
