We have lived in our home for 45 years. The kitchen was in dire need of a remodel. After looking at other companies, we found we were most comfortable with Selective Remodeling. The first time we met with Joe, he took the time to find out what our wants and needs were. He and the team have patiently worked with us developing the design, as well as selecting the cabinets, backsplash, countertops and flooring. We can’t wait to see the completed project! We are so glad to chose Selective Remodeling for our remodel. The kitchen came out fantastic! Their attention to detail was excellent. There were no surprises! All of the contractors who were on the project were excellent and there was excellent communication with Selective Remodeling on a daily basis. Even though there was a big snow storm during the project everything went smoothly and the project was completed on time. I recently had my bathroom remodeled with Selective Remodeling. I highly recommend them! They do a phenomenal job ensuring that all planning and fixtures are ordered before any work starts. You will also have a solid schedule that tells you who will be coming and what they will complete on each day. When I started this project I was unsure of what I wanted as far as design. I submitted some photos of things I liked to Natasha. She came up with a design plan. Next I met with Samantha and we went through the plan. This enabled me to really see what I liked. Samantha was so patient as it took several design meetings for me to pick everything. When it came time for paint colors I was overwhelmed and Malika narrowed down some options for me. I also made two changes before the work started and Samantha handled it seamlessly. Everyone that came to my home to work was very respectful and cleaned up every day before they left. The project manager Rob was amazing! While he was here he took care of something for me that had nothing to do with the remodel. It is rare that you find people like this! The entire team really cares and treats you like a member of their family. They offer a 5 year warranty and come back to your home to ensure that everything is fine. This is unheard of and another reason to choose Selective remodeling!

We had a solid working relationship and overall positive experience with Selective Remodeling, when we renovated our main bathroom. Michael and his team came this past November for our 3-year preventative maintenance check-up, which is only one key aspect that truly separates Selective from their competitors, they truly stand by their work and if a problem arises they don’t abandon you just cause the job is complete, they work with you to assure you are completely satisfied customer moving forward. They are very transparent, providing you with online digital images of every step of the job so that you are always aware of what’s being done and how it’s being done. No other company we looked into offered this type of follow up care and yearly maintenance check at no extra cost and was one of the key reasons we decided to go with them. It was also a pleasure to work with Samantha, who was extremely engaging and flexible scheduling a date that works best for you. The guys that came once the job commenced were dependable, knowledgeable, pleasant and were very observant and aware of the things that needed attention such as tightening of handles/bars, some grout, caulking and other minor things. No part of the job ever seemed rushed. Overall we are both very happy with the preventative maintenance offered and we are extremely happy with the team as a whole at Selective Remodeling! My husband and I hired Selective Homes back in the fall of 2019 to completely renovate our entire house, blow out the back and add a second story. We first came across Selective Homes at a home show and actually met Joe. We were just starting the process of figuring out how we were going to basically rebuild our home and struck up a conversation with him. He gave us their busness card and we ended up calling them soon after for an estimate. We met with Mike and instantly hit it off with him. He was completely kind, honest, trustworthy and approachable. They really did a wonderful job with the entire house and we are so happy with it. Mike was with us at every step, including helping us choose everything from cabinets to paint color. A few years after meeting Mike, we met Samantha. She is on top of everything, checking in and is quick to respond to any issues that may arise. Working with them is a breeze and we have called them a few times to do more “work” and plan to in the future. We 100% recommend Selective Homes for any type of remodel.

My experience with Selective Remodeling (Mike) has been exceptional to date. The education and patience Mike has shared with me has been amazing. I started my home project with interviewing multiple contractors and after reviewing the scope of work, Mike was the only one to suggest I DO NOT sign with any contractor yet, including themselves. Instead, he suggested I work with an architect and to make sure the finances aligned with my vision of the project first. Mike has continued educating me by going through the lifecycle of the project, giving great referrals for both architects and finance options. I have come to depend on Mike not only as a contractor, but as a consultant. For those who are looking to do a house project, large or small, I highly recommend Selective Remodeling. They are not looking for the quick sale, but to make sure your project is done right.

Selective Remodeling did an amazing job siding our home and revitalizing an existing screened porch. Everything is beautiful and Joe's planning, professionalism and attention to detail is top notch! The screen room is now our favorite place to relax and enjoy nature. UPDATE: After several looong months the project is finally finished. I originally gave SR a 4 star review because there were many things we were still hoping to do. Joe kept saying he could make a new shed, replace a skylight, etc but he never followed through. The siding looked okay, pretty, in fact, and the screen room which was sadly deteriorating came back to life. I thought a 4 star review was nice but one day Joe showed up unannounced and wanted me to change my review. After he carried on about it and offered to do some additional work at cost I did change it to 5 stars, solely because the project wasn’t complete. The project started when a truck carrying all the material showed up with no notice. No phone call, nothing. Then the crew came in. No introductions, nothing. English with one gentleman was minimal at best and we don’t speak Spanish. Some days the crew would show up early, other days an early drizzle was reason for a no show, others 10:00-10:30 was start time. The best part was a broken window which was replaced with the wrong window. Weeks went by before it was replaced with the correct sash. I guess I was supposed to feel good when Joe told us he’d fired the crew when they finished the job. I felt terrible for the hardworking crew when their work could have been managed professionally. This review is just the highlights. There were other issues but you get the point. Overall, the house looks great but honestly I was disappointed that we hired who we thought would get it right.

We had a great experience with Selective Remodeling. From the initial consultation with Scott to the handoff with Samantha, Sabrina, and the team, it was a seamless process. Samantha ensured that the co-op management had all of the items required. She kept us updated during the entire process. Freddy, Jorge, Dmitri were great. They were detail oriented and their workmanship was excellent. They ensured that the dust would be contained. They cleaned up before leaving and didn’t leave debris in our home. Robert managed the renovation and ensured the successful completion. As with any project there were hiccups and changes however because of excellent communication and project management we stayed on schedule. Our new bathroom makes us smile! We absolutely love it!

We picked selective renovations after meeting with several contractors. It definitely was the right choice They were very attentive to our needs throughout the whole process We had the master bathroom, the kitchen and numerous other projects completed Any issues that did come up they satisfactory resolved those issues immediately without any questions asked I can’t say enough how happy I was that we selected them as our contractor and would go to them for any renovations that we may do in the future. They Offered advice and suggestions throughout the whole process And were always Available when we needed anything addressed. We had a fabulous experience selecting tile, fixtures, cabinets, etc. as well as placement of lights, towel bars, shower heads, etc. with Samantha from Selective Remodeling! She is knowledgeable, patient, and experienced. She answered all our questions throughout this part of the remodel process- all with a smile and did I mention patience! Selective Remodeling from start to finish was a blessing and a joy to work with. The level of planning in our previous post was worth the time and effort as the materials were here on the day the job started so there was no waiting. From day 1 of the Reno our home was protected inside and out with ram board, plastic , a clean dumpster and port-a-potty. Each day, thanks to the well planned calendar, the crew arrived on time and worked a FULL day! The coordination between the teams, Samantha and us, the client was impressive! The crews were polite, clean, knowledgeable in their work area. The craftsmanship by Jorge and tile work by Herin was outstanding! Mistakes, errors, or manufacturing defects (let’s face it every Reno has them) were dealt with quickly and rectified immediately. One day when the crew was short one guy, I came home to find Samantha helping carry both a pantry and vanity cabinet up the flight of stairs!!! The daily photos were a testament to the progress of the project. We’d like to give special shout out to Jorge, Herin, Kevin, Fredy, Demitriy and Julio for their hard work and dedication to making sure we were happy at the end of each day. The Selective team behind the scenes including Sabrina, Scott, Rob, Makayla, Mike, Natasha and Nona ( her rice ball were yummy and a welcome treat) deserve praise for the team that make you feel like family. Finally, the biggest THANK YOU to Samantha! She is all in at all hours of the day-including early mornings! But most of all throughout the planning, execution, and final project she listens ( she has a calming g effect on your Reno nerves) , advises, protects, and cares 110%. She values your happiness and satisfaction with the entirety of the project and her smile is as wide as yours will be when you see the Selective finished project! Thank you Selective Remodeling!

We used selective last year to remodel our kitchen, bathroom and remove a load bearing wall to have an open floor plan. We priced out several contractors and were close to using a competitor. Since the competitor was subbing out everything, we were getting the blame game before work even started. Once we sat with selective we knew they were the choice. Everything handled by their team, daily schedule of what was being done, attention to detail. When I was done pricing everything they were super competitive. All in all I have nothing but great things to say including they were here at my house today for my yearly preventative maintenance making sure everything held up and will do so for the next 4 years. Who does that?
