Our Hawai’i guidebook recommended this and it was a fantastic experience! One of the largest boats you’ll see out there. We had 8 manta rays with us the whole time! Staff was very friendly and did a special blessing before we went in the water.

The night snorkeling with mantas is amazing and the morning snorkeling at the Captain Cook Monument is beautiful. I am most impressed by the patience and caring of the staff. They were incredibly kind to my senior mother and a huge help with her limited mobility. Would definitely recommend to anyone that wants to spend some time in the water! Thank you crew!!

We just got off the morning snorkeling trip and we had an amazing time. The entire crew was polite, professional and helpful in every way. They really made the trip fun and enjoyable. The boat was clean and well maintained with the cleanest bathrooms you will see on a charter boat. They had good snorkeling gear and the crew is right there ready to help you in any way you needed it to make sure you had a fun safe experience. Both the breakfast and lunch meals that come with the trip were delicious and beyond what I was expecting. The bartender can make some good drinks 🍹 for the ride home when the snorkeling is done.
One thing I did notice that Sea Paradise was doing that other boats around us weren’t doing. Sea Paradise puts crew members on paddle boards as lifeguards in the areas that you are swimming. That’s a big plus for safe in my eyes and I appreciate that.

Went on snorkeling tour this morning (10-8-25) and it was amazing!! The crew was awesome!! We were lucky enough to see dolphins. The snorkeling was unbelievable!!

We really enjoyed the manta ray experience — we saw plenty of rays up close and had lots of time in the water. The crew was friendly, and everything went smoothly once we were onboard.
That said, the check-in process felt a bit disorganized compared with a neighboring operator. I also didn’t realize the GoPro rental had to be reserved in advance — others had done so, and when I asked at check-in, I was told to inquire on the boat. By then the crew was busy and it was almost time to get in the water, so I missed out.
Another small thing: they said neck-based phone cases weren’t allowed, but at least one person on our trip had one, and the crew even mentioned it — which made the rule feel inconsistent. Overall, it was a good trip and the manta rays were amazing, but next time I’d probably choose a company that’s a bit clearer and more organized.

What a wonderful, unique experience! Being up close to the manta rays was incredible! The boat and crew were excellent - they got us geared up, on the boat and in and out of the water comfortably and efficiently. I loved that they were out in the water with us, providing additional information on the manta rays and what we were seeing. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed this morning snorkeling trip very much. The catamaran is nice (and it really does have the nicest bathrooms we've ever seen on a boat) and the crew is amazing. They're friendly, constantly offering food and drinks, and make sure everyone is well taken care of. They have everything you need for the trip, down to the reef safe sunscreen and hand sanitizer. The continental breakfast and coffee is nice in the morning, and we enjoyed the sandwich lunch after a couple of 45 minute snorkeling sessions. The snorkeling equipment is good and didn't leak like many do. The entire sail over and back is very pleasant. The snorkeling spots are fine, not the best we've seen, but had some decent fish. The drop off at Kealakekua Bay is cool to see. Overall, great experience well worth a morning.

Great Snorkel and Boat Ride for Babymoon at 6 Months Pregnant
My husband and I came to the Big Island for our babymoon. We normally love to scuba dive, but couldn’t (for obvious reasons), so we decided to snorkel instead! After researching different groups, we decided on the afternoon sail and snorkel, and I’m so glad we did! It was a beautiful, smooth ride to our snorkel spot, and they offered fresh fruit and drinks to everyone. They also provided reef safe sunscreen! (Apparently the “reef safe” Beach Bum kind I ordered on Amazon is actually not reef safe unfortunately…) They were so nice with me being pregnant, and even involved our little guy in a cultural experience before getting in the water! We had the perfect amount of time to swim and saw lots of beautiful fish! On the way back, we had chips and drinks and enjoyed laying in the net at the front of the boat. Our guides were so helpful and patient as several people had never snorkeled before. They carefully explained everything to them. I couldn’t recommend this tour more! If you’re looking for a snorkel tour in the Kona area, look no further!

Sea Paradise provided a must see/do experience that I would recommend to anyone traveling to Kona!
The crew was so generous and helpful. The boat and its amenities were very clean and well kept. I enjoyed the entire experience and seeing the manta rays up close was a once in a lifetime opportunity. The crew offered Ginger Chews and Ginger Ale (along with other drink options) for those not feeling the best from the motion. If you're in Kona for the night and have time to spare, this is a must do opportunity and Sea Paradise has the best offering. Even if you forgot your GoPro at home like me, you could rent 1 from the crew and they quickly provide the SD Card and a USB of the videos/pictures immediately after you get out of the water.

The Capitan and his crew are very organized, professional, and certified lifeguards. From registration, to reservations and the itinerary, this experience is worthy of a 5-star rating.
While vacationing in Hawaii we signed up for snorkeling. The boat took us out to a nice cove. It was a great idea to have a guided tour that told us facts and historical information along the way. The snorkeling equipment came with the price of admission.
They are very "big" on conservation and preservation of the land, sea, and animals. They take careful measures to not intrude or disrupt the natural habitat.
The water temperature was perfect on this sunny day. This was a very memorable experience.

We did the afternoon cruise and enjoyed it so much! My husband really enjoyed the snorkeling. I cannot swim & I'm a 71 year old fraidy cat but I did stand on the ladder, thanks to help from crew, and was able to see fish in the water. The boat was so easy to walk around and I felt safe the entire time. Ride out & back to the cove was pleasant and the music they played was great! I can't say enough about how wonderful all the crew members were! What a terrific bunch of young people! Thank you Sea Paradise for my most memorable day in Kona.
