Hi Martha,
I'm here at work trying to compose an email that would somehow convey the degree of gratitude that Karen and I have for you. We hope we can come up with the words & adjectives to express what we experienced on this trek you planned for us. The pure experiences we had seeing & taking in what the Galapagos & Easter Island had to offer were phenomenal. However, the various components that surrounded those experiences such as guides, accommodations, transfers, Go Galapagos & the Galapagos Legend & its attributes put the whole trip way over the top. We loved that when we were assigned a driver &/or guide that they were with us for the duration of our stay. In that way we developed a rapport & a relationship that enhanced our experience while there. We started with Eduardo in Quito, who was pleasant & knowledgeable. Our trip to the Equator Museum was a perfect start to our South American experience. We got to participate in activities while there. He brought Quito to life for us. The churches & the Old Town were glittering and bustling. Thank you! Then we were handed over to the staff of the Galapagos Legend where we met a host of people whose main job was to keep us safe, happy, informed & educated. Andres was our guide for our time on the ship. We were in his Cormoranes group. The staff is extremely good at what they do & our days were structured well. There were so many activities from which to choose on board in addition to the two excursions/day. The food was fantastic & the waitstaff attentive & service oriented. We had no worries & were very comfortable on board. We can't begin to describe the nature, & the birds & animals we saw! Next we went to Guayaquil & we met Jorge. He was helpful with suggestions for dining & he was able to present Guayaquil to us from the perspective of someone who appreciates all that the city represents & has to offer. Next we arrived in Santiago where we were welcomed by Maria Christina & Rodrigo. We had a delightful conversation on the way to our hotel & looked forward to seeing them again in the morning. We spent an amazing day together and went to a restaurant that Rodrigo suggested after hearing what kind of food experience we were interested in having. Perfect! We even got to sample a typical Chilean dessert called mote con huesillo. We left for Easter Island & Maria Christina helped us at the kiosk before we said goodbye. Next up on Easter Island was Javier. Javier brought with him an energy, a joy for life, a passion for all things Rapa Nui & an outgoing & welcoming nature. He loves this Island, its history & his bloodline. He was a terrific source of information for food recommendations & we looked forward to our two full days together exploring the mysteries of the Island & its silent stone moais. He greeted us with beautiful leis & left us with little moai necklaces. Sunday before our trip to the airport he took us to go shopping. Above & beyond doesn't come close to describing Javier. His energy and assistance were invaluable. We ask a lot of questions so we were able to have a lot of dialogues about the mysteries of the Rapa Nui people & what happened through all their years there. We can still hear him saying "'Iorana" to all the Islanders he knows, which we believe is everyone on the Island. He taught us some phrases in Rapa Nui as well. We will miss him. Rodrigo & Alvaro picked us up at the Santiago airport on the 7th & took us back there on the 8th. It was nice to meet Alvaro & we were happy to be reunited with Rodrigo. We felt so well cared for. The hotels you chose for us were first class and so comfortable. The Go Quito took our breath away & the Ohana was a paradise. What we saw, felt and tasted will never be forgotten. You made this dream a reality for us & though we had a year to wait and big expectations, you completely exceeded them on every level. After all we've shared in this email we hope we have adequately communicated our appreciation since a simple heartfelt "Thank you" didn't seem like enough. Muchíssimas Grácias!!

My dad and I went on a two week vacation through SA Vacations in the summer of 2025. We were able to customize the itinerary to meet our needs. We traveled to Manaus, Rio, Iguazu Falls, Chile, and Easter Island! SA Vacations planned for everything--all of the airport/hotel transfers, tour guides who spoke English, 4/5 star hotels, and restaurants that met our dietary needs. When something came up mid-trip, Martha was able to fix it immediately! We were on a busy trip--multiple countries and 11 flights, but everything flowed seamlessly. It was perfect not having to worry about a thing! I highly suggest using SA Vacations for your next South American vacation! We had the experience of a lifetime!
I did the Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu with SA Vacations, and it was honestly one of the best experiences of my life. My guide, Miguel Mayorga, was fantastic — super knowledgeable and passionate about the area. He took me to some really cool spots off the main trail and adjusted the plan whenever needed so I could make the most of my trip. You could tell he genuinely wanted me to have the best experience possible.
The chefs, Ronald and Isaac, were amazing. I still can’t believe the food they managed to cook out on the trail — every meal was delicious, and they even made sure to accommodate my dietary requests without any problem. On the last night, they surprised me with a homemade chocolate cake, which completely blew me away!
The porters, Francisco and Roger, were absolute legends. They worked so hard setting up camp and making sure everything was ready when I arrived each day. Thanks to them, I was always comfortable and could just relax and enjoy the trek.
Overall, SA Vacations went above and beyond. The whole team made the journey to Machu Picchu something I’ll never forget. If you’re thinking about doing the Salkantay trek, I can’t recommend them (and especially Miguel, Ronald, Isaac, Francisco, and Roger) enough!
We were going to be in South America and decided with about 6 weeks before we left to go to Easter Island too. I called a few of places from a Google search. Two said it was too late. But when I talked with Martha at SA Vacations. She said to give her an hour or so. She called back a while later and told me that she could get it done for us. She handled all our connecting flights and they tied seamlessly into our existing flights. The airport transfers and hotels were spot on! She set up our Easter Island tours and even made sure to get us out early one morning to see the sunrise over the Moai! (My special request) Martha gave us exactly what we were looking for! We travel a lot and we are already talking to Martha about our next adventure. Five star company, five star service
Trip of a lifetime! We travelled to Machu Picchu and Easter Island, and every moment was unforgettable. The whole itinerary was perfectly planned, yet when we wanted to tweak things along the way, nothing was too much trouble. Every guide was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable, and the local partners SAV work with were outstanding. Martha and her team made everything seamless and stress-free, so we could just enjoy the magic of South America. We’re already planning more adventures with them — couldn’t recommend highly enough!
SA Vacations were amazing! I had an incredible vacation in South America, beyond my wildest expectations, thanks to SA Vacations. Every airport transfer was on time and every guide was knowledgeable, friendly and very professional. All the hotels that they booked for me were superb. Martha and Alan were always available to help with any planning, suggestions or recommendations and customized my trip for me. I cannot thank them enough and look forward to traveling with SA Vacations again!
We just came back from what was one of the most memorable trips, thanks to SA Vacations! We had the very best service, hotels, meals, tours to enjoy Peru's amazing sites, and a very well planned agenda, transport. Really every detail was taken care of and also at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend this wonderful professional travel agency! First but not last trip with them!! Really grateful for this expertise, care, and now, the memories!!
SA Vacations put together an incredible private trip to Machu Picchu for our group of four. Everything was seamless—from the moment we landed in Peru to the day we left. The logistics were flawless, the accommodations were top-notch, and our guides were knowledgeable and engaging. It was the perfect mix of adventure and comfort. We never felt rushed, and every detail felt thoughtfully planned. SA Vacations really made the experience special, and I’d absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a five-star way to explore Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley. Thank you Marta for everything!!
We recently returned from an extraordinary trip to Chile thanks to the terrific service from Alan and Martha at SA Vacations. Our stay in the beautiful city of Santiago was made extra special by Nico, our tour guide from CTS Turismo, who went above and beyond to show us many of the fantastic sites within the city. Nico was also completely reliable for airport and hotel pickups and he made us feel most welcome every day. Nico was an ideal guide! From Santiago we went to the Atacama Desert region where the landscape and scenery were truly magnificent. We took advantage of several of the tour/hiking trips and every guide we had was knowledgeable, informative, and keenly invested in making our experience memorable. Special mention must be made of our astronomy hour (we took the 10:40 pm offering) which was overwhelmingly intriguing and inspiring. We loved being able to see the exceedingly clear southern sky with the naked eye, and then after we got to use the telescope the experience became even more spectacular. Special mention must be made of the Nayara Alto Atacama Hotel which lived up to its advertisement as being "an oasis under the stars." The accommodations were luxurious, the food was gourmet, and every single staff member treated us like family. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel so much that we want to return there someday. After Atacama we went to Easter Island (Rapa Nui) which was perfect in every way. While staying at the Hare Nua Hotel we felt that we were in a veritable paradise. The location was ideal, the rooms and setting were embedded in an island dreamland, and the food was also delectable. Please see our separate review of Hare Nua Hotel here on Google Reviews. To top things off, our guide, David from the Mahina Tour Company, took every measure to show us his island, all with great pride. He knew of our sincere interest in the culture, history, and heritage of Rapa Nui and took us all over the island so that we could see just about everything. He even spent extra time with us (after the allotted time) in order to make sure that we were able to do everything that was of interest to us. And if that weren’t enough . . . David is a fine musician who treated us with his ukulele playing and singing of heritage songs in the Rapa Nui language which, of course, made the overall experience that much greater.
This is the second trip that we took through SA Vacations (the first was Quito/Galapagos/Amazon) and we were so thrilled with both of them that we look forward to planning another trip very soon!
We appreciate Alan and Martha so much. – Lisa and Gary from Arizona
SA Vacations was great. When we had a medical emergency one day before we were to leave on our trip, they quickly rescheduled us so we could still go on our trip. During our trip we had a flight cancelation, they quickly rescheduled us on a flight earlier than what the airline was going to give us. The itinerary by Martha was very detailed and kept us informed about what we were going to do each day. I would recommend putting WhatsApp on your phone, both SA Vacations and the tour providers use this app to communicate. We had very quick responses from all parties. I highly recommend SA Vacations and if I decide to use a travel service again it will be SA Vacations.
We had an amazing trip to Peru! Our travel agency, SA Vacations, was very thorough. All of the tour guides were excellent. The tickets, transportation, and hotels were very well organized. The highlight was seeing Machu Picchu! It was absolutely incredible! We loved the cultural experiences, the food, the sightseeing, and all of the history. We highly recommend booking your tour with SA Vacations. 🇵🇪
We visited Peru. This was about second trip using SA Vacations. The trip was flawless from our pickup in Lima to every other pickup and tour guide throughout Peru. The itinerary was personalized for my husband and me along with our son and daughter-in-law. It’s a great way to travel basically on our own with reliable and professional drivers and guides. I can’t speak high enough about our experience to Peru. We wanted 5* hotels - and we got 5*. We used SA Vacations about 6 years ago when we went to Brazil and Argentina. It was due to the amazing trip we had that we went back to SA Vacations to plan our trip to Peru!! No regrets - use them next time you want to head to South America!!
Wow! Wow! Wow! We highly recommend SA Vacations tour of Peru. We chose the classic Machu Picchu and Nazca Lines 11 day tour. We were very anxious about a tour to South America , especially one that had so many domestic destinations and transfers. Needless to say, we had lots of questions, but Alan and Martha were very gracious about quickly responding to all of our questions and concerns. Next, we learned that SA Vacations had partnered with a local tour company tour in Peru (Viajes Pacifico- VIPAC) We were very grateful for VIPAC's excellent service at every step of our trip in Peru. From our first pickup when we landed in Lima to our last transfer to the airport 11 days later, VIPAC handled everything seamlessly. Every encounter with VIPAC was excellent. The guides were always on time to our meetings, were friendly and enthusiastic, and took care of every detail for us. VIPAC handled our museum and site admissions, domestic air and train travel, transportation from one point to the next, and served as our guides for sites like Machu Picchu, Ollantaytambo, Moray, Maras salt mines, several ruins in Cusco, historic Lima, the Larco Museum, and Nazca Lines and Ballestas Islands.
The chosen hotels were very good and in great locations: in Lima, Casa Andina Standard Benevides was a 5 minute walk to Kennedy Park and a tourist information center; in Paracas, San Agustin Paracas was a 5 minute walk to town and had a beautiful pool and beach view; in Yucay, Sonesta Posadas del Inca was a gorgeous property in a quiet town with mountain views; in Cusco, Casa Andina Standard Cusco Plaza was 5 minutes to the main plaza and 10 minutes to the main market. Breakfast was included at every hotel and most days, our lunch was also included. Peru is known as a foodie destination and we can confirm that we had some wonderful meals. When meals weren't included, our local VIPAC guides were able to direct us to amazing restaurants.
We are so grateful to SA Vacations and VIPAC Travel for providing such an amazing and educational adventure. It was the trip of a lifetime. We whole heartedly recommend SA Vacations for your journeys to South America.
Wonderful experience! I just completed my second tour booked through SA Vacations. They were as good the second time as the first. The itinerary was complete and well-balanced. Our transportation as well as our daily experiences were on time and professional. In addition, SA Vacations was very accommodating with last minute changes. I will definitely use SA Vacations the next time I want to plan a trip in their area.
I have been to 50+ countries and all 7 continents and have always done my own planning. This time because of the logistics I decided to us a travel service, The reviews for SA Vacations were 5 star and I found no complaints when I checked BBB and Florida travel agents. The itinerary by Martha was superb as was the pre-trip information. Every person that was supposed to meet us at the airports and transfer us to the hotels were on time and friendly. The tour guides were on time and knowledgeable. Our transfers from the hotels to the airports went smoothly and the persons transporting us were friendly and helpful, printing our boarding passes, tagging and scanning our luggage and escorting us to the security gates. All the domestic flights were well arranged for our itinerary. I highly recommend SA Vacations and if I decide to use a travel service again it will be SA Vacations.
We had the vacation of our lifetime, visiting Galapagos and Machu Picchu, in April 2024. Many thanks to Martha Cohen who was a great help in organizing and arranging our trip. We had the best guides, everywhere we went we were dropped off and picked up on time. I have nothing to complain about. The accommodations and tours were excellent. Thank you for this great memory! We will be back for more!
