Sukiyaki udon is one of my favorite dishes in Japanese cuisine and this place has by far the best I've had in Brooklyn! The beef is perfectly seasoned, the noodles are perfectly tender, the broth is balanced between rich and lightness, and the scallions and tofu really take it over the top. Plus they package it in the most thoughtful way, with the egg and broth in their own packaging so the egg doesn't break in transit. Extremely pleased. This will be my regular spot for udon.
The food was delicious, fresh, and very appetizing. Everything smelled amazing and tasted just as good as it looked. The service was quick, attentive, and efficient, which made the dining experience even more enjoyable.
The atmosphere was warm, cozy, and inviting. They offer comfortable seating for couples, booths for larger parties, and a large family-style table in the center for groups. The drink selection is also impressive, with a variety of wines, liquors, beers, and juices available.
Overall, it was a very pleasant dining experience, and I would definitely return.
Food is great, really enjoyed everything we ordered. Hostess was incredibly rude. To the point that we felt unwelcome. We had a reservation and showed up 20 mins early. Plenty of open seats, but she forced us to wait until our reservation time. I get not wanting to overwhelm the kitchen, but we had to wait in the hallway that has 0 heat and we were very cold. Once we sat we were glad to have escaped her angry vibes.
Food comes out VERY slow. We ordered the sushi tacos. On the check we saw we were charged $31 where as the menu said $21. We asked why, the waitress insisted we ordered the *special* sushi tacos. We didn’t and also didn’t even know there were different versions. When they came, we were actually confused why they didn’t match the menu, but just assumed they rotated it based on freshness or seasonality. We explained this and she refused to correctly charge us for what we ordered. Didn’t even apologize. We paid the bill and didn’t make a big deal of it but the hostess and service totally ruined the experience.
Service was quick. I got seated within 5 minutes as a solo party
I ordered the Fatty Mama Ramen $17
Soup was decent with rich pork bone and light seafood flavor 5/5
Noodle was overcooked and too soft 3/3
Chashu’s seasoning was too brutally sweet and it ruined the balance of the whole bowl 2/5
