Alexis is a wonderful teacher! She makes salsa and bachata extremely accessible for any level of dance. Even in group settings she makes sure to give everyone individual notes on how they can further improve. It’s been such a great experience taking classes with her.

It’s a great environment where I’ve met some awesome people and gone out after one season to salsa dancing around the city. It’s clear when we go out that we already have stronger fundamentals then a lot of other people that we dance with that have been doing it the same amount of time if not for much longer. My wife and I did salsa beginners course. Alexis is very good dancer and teacher with an eye for details and a passion for helping student get better. We just signed up for a new course, and will also hire Alexis for private lessons and choreography for a lyrical dance performance.

Absolutely deserves 5+ stars. Alexis truly cares about form and technique and building a welcoming environment. I found her studio online last summer & decided to check it out and I am very happy I did. The bachata and salsa classes are very fun.

Her encouragement, no bs teaching style and commitment to technique are just some of the few things that make her amazing. It is the friendliest environment for newbies and it has churned out some amazing dancers.

I rarely write reviews, but this academy truly deserves one. I joined a few months ago to take my mind off work and meet new people after an international move, and now I genuinely look forward to my salsa class every week. Alexis is patient, kind, passionate, and just the right amount of strict (you’ll appreciate it when you’re learning proper technique). She’s also absolutely hilarious, which makes every class so much fun. I’ll definitely be signing up for Salsa 2, and maybe even Bachata 1! If you’re thinking about trying it, don’t hesitate to book the trial class and enroll. You won’t regret it.

Amazing and fun environment. The way Alexis teaches allows us to feel comfortable and exited to grow into each dance step. She has a passion to guide us all together and be precise and yet making it sooo fun. She wants us all to learn the right way and flourish on the dance floor as how she has accomplished! I was in LA visiting in June, 2026. I had private lessons of bachata with Alexis as well as group classes. She stands out from most instructors I attended class, from Dallas, Seattle, LA, Dominican Republic. She really cares about everyone progressing in her class while she focuses on technique. She is fun, friendly and is very engaged in building a fun community of dancers. Her studio is beautiful and well located in Santa Monica. I highly recommend and would take her classes again when I am back.

Alexis is an incredible instructor - patient, energetic, talented, and genuinely passionate about teaching. Her energy is absolutely unmatched, and she creates an environment that instantly makes you feel excited, comfortable, and motivated to learn. What I appreciated most about the salsa classes is how welcoming and encouraging they are. Alexis makes learning feel approachable no matter your experience level, and she somehow manages to make every class both structured and genuinely fun.
