Russ was fantastic start to finish. Made us and all our guests feel so at ease and quite often didn't even notice he was there capturing those natural unfiltered shots we love. We have amazing pictures to remember our day we can't thank you enough. Would highly recommend Russ to anyone.

Russ put out a competition to “win our wedding videography” Which we won and we’re incredibly greatful. To begin with he seamed extremely pleasant, even on the day itself. However 2 years later we still haven’t received our footage. We have been fobbed off, ignored and now blocked. Please do not trust this man with your special day. We will never be able to get them special memories back. He lied to us on multiple occasions and accused us of sending multiple messages every day. We have all the evidence of the dialog between us that prove different. We even asked if Russ could just send us the raw footage. Or anything from the day so we could have just something to look back on, but as I mentioned he has since ignored and blocked us. Russ has managed to get our previous reviews deleted, and even replying to our review admitting that he openly deleted the footage. We are heartbroken. If anyone would like to see any dialog between us or evidence of him at the wedding please get in touch, I will be happy to share more of our experience so nobody else has to go through the same thing.

Amazing experience with Russ. Very professional AND personable. Guests loved him. The quality of the photos were amazing. Candid photos just like we asked for and captured beautiful moments. Extremely happy with it!

Well, what can we say about Russ. On meeting him, we soon realised he was the right choice for us! Russ accommodated the most precious request of secretly following my wife to the cemetery in her wedding car so she could see her mum on our special day & capture that forever (all kept a secret from her). Without question this wasn't an issue, for that we are eternally greatful. Russ 'captured our day' and the most special moments, something we will treasure forever! All of our guests have and still comment on how great Russ was throughout the day, very friendly and patient even when I forgot to compile the photo list for him! Thank you Russ! The tasters we have received are so very special, especially the shot of our precious Mias ashes (our late dog) which we knew nothing about until we got them back!! Thank you again 🩵

Unbelievably helpful and professional- We couldn’t have organised our day without Russ. He has a wealth of knowledge and contacts and goes the extra mile. That’s before he’s even taken a single photo!! He’s photos are stunning and captured every little moment. He also delivered them in an elegant package and a multitude of choices for both web and print. He was punctual, creative, friendly and so flexible for the entire day. Russ is amazing! I came across his services using Hitched and I couldn't be happier with the service he provided. He was attentive to every aspect of the day. He was very personable, friendly, helpful, and honestly felt like he was another friend attending the wedding. He fit in so nicely to the day, blended into the background to take the best candid pictures and also directed so professionally and appropriately when the group photos were ready to be taken. As much as we hired Russ to be the photographer, he was just so helpful in every aspect. I'd forget my bouquet, he'd run and get it. I needed wipes for my daughter, he'd grab them. If I didn't know what time we were cutting the cake, he'd check. He went above and beyond his responsibilities and he did everything with the biggest smile on his face. He made the whole day run smoothly. Not only that, and the reason for hiring, the pictures are better than we ever could have imagined. He captured so much emotion and love! I have spent a vast amount of time just sitting and staring at them since the moment he sent them (which he did super fast!). I really couldn't recommend Russ enough! Thank you for helping us have the most magical day!

What can I say? Russ at Capture The Day Photography is truly lovely. He photographed my daughters wedding on Saturday and he was amazing. He put everybody at ease and was able to get the most camera shy in a photo. Russ made sure that my daughter and son in law had the most perfect time. We chose Russ as our wedding photographer for late October last year. Upon meeting him we discovered just how enthusiastic and knowledgeable he is and were able to discuss exactly what we wanted capturing on our big day. Russ even kindly offered to do an engagement shoot for us to get an idea of the area around our venue. Both me and my husband are quite camera shy, but Russ put us at ease right away and was really easy to get on with. Unfortunately on the big day it was chucking it down, but Russ didn't let it ruin the photos. He skillfully managed to get some under a canopy that looked as though we were surrounded by greenery and he even managed to take some fantastic sparkler pictures on the night. He directed our family and friends perfectly and everybody thought he was fantastic on the day. It felt like we had a two for one photographer and wedding coordinator. Sadly there was a bit of confusion getting all the photos I wanted sent to me, but after the busy Christmas period, Russ was able to sort things out and rectify the problem. The photos we recieved are truly stunning and we love the fact that Russ was able to capture those 'in the moment' shots, without us even being aware. Overall, Russ is a great guy who knows exactly what he is doing and will capture your big day perfectly.

If you are looking for a wedding photographer, look no further than Russ and Capture the Day Photography. We decided to use Russ for our own wedding in April 2019 after a friend had recommended him. We asked Russ for a meeting to discuss questions we had and to get an idea of his personality and style of wedding shoot as we thought it important to have our big day captured by someone we felt comfortable in the company of. He set both our minds at rest straight away and even gave us some ideas to think about which we had not even considered. During the day he helped calm nerves, kept us on time and blended in when he needed to. We could not have asked for a more professional and likeable person to cover the most important day of our lives. We are so happy with the photos we received and would recommend him to anyone. For a photographer with experience, professionalism and class, Russ is your man. He's a great bloke and a true gent to boot. Thanks again Russ at Capture the Day Photography! It would not have been the same without you.

Russ is brilliant! I came to him when I entered the L'Oreal colour trophy (hairdressing competition) and I got through, which wouldn't have been possible without Russ and all his help!!! Very professional, has alot of experience and clearly knows his stuff. He did exactly what I'd hoped for and more, very patient and even gave suggestions on outfits etc. Couldn't be happier with the service and would definitely recommend him! We chose Capture the Day for our wedding and we are so pleased that we did. Russ suggested that we visit the venue together beforehand so he could get a feel for the place and have prior knowledge of the best places for the range of different photos, so that it was clear on the actual day. This made us feel more relaxed on the day itself as we were all familiar with the building and gardens. Russ is a complete professional but also absolutely lovely and brought a sense of fun and humour to the day which was extremely welcomed and put us both at ease. Russ was with us from the start of the day to the very end, having even offered to provide a photo booth style area for our evening guests. I cannot recommend him highly enough and we were so impressed with the end result that we have since booked him for more family events to capture those precious moments.
