Stayed in one of the guest rooms adjoining the pub. Very clean, spacious and nicely decorated. 4 of us in two double bedrooms with a separate lounge.
Had dinner in the pub which was very good indeed. Staff were excellent.
Very convenient for the channel tunnel and M20, we would highly recommend this for a short stay or just dinner.
We booked a table for Sunday lunch at short notice as it was en route to our destination.
What a wondeful find! The staff were fantastic and very accommodating of the dietary requirements of my young nephew; he was thrilled with his gluten free pizza!
Three roasts, one lasagne and a child's pizza later, we had empty plates and full bellies! There was ample food, extremely tasty and we'd 100% go back!
Go here. I don't care how far away it is, plan your holiday around this singular visit. The service was excellent, the food, well. Well, well, well. How to describe it. Incredible. Like being kissed by god with a mouthful of single malt scotch.
The burger? Amazing. They elevated simple pizza (2 for 1, the maniacs) to an art form, and the loaded chips. The. Loaded. Chips. My wife and I almost divorced over who got to eat the last bite.
So, yeah. It was good.
- in the centre of the village, with the bus stop outside , but also has some parking area out the back (just breath in as you negotiate the archway to reach the car park) , which also has an electric car charger for those that need it.
We went through from the garden into a nicely kept bar with nooks and crannies which is always welcome to see in a pub, plenty of areas for dining, and the food offer looked great , it was getting busy with diners even early on a weekday evening. Keg IPA on offer, which was well kept, and bar snacks ie nuts/crisps available (not always the case). The garden area is small but pleasant enough but the welcome here was genuine so a much better experience than the Farriers Arms down the road.
All in all, a lovely little village pub, looks to be the centre of village life and nice in the summer but I am sure will offer a cosy welcome in the winter.
Short drive from the Ashford Outlet centre and well worth taking a detour. Pretty village, lovely pub and friendly welcoming staff.
The food was very good too - both opted for a baguette with chips and salad. Delicious.
Small garden at the rear with a tractor for the kids and an electric charging point.
