I wish I'd been taking my car to Ross Davidson all these years instead of a big name franchise. The service was excellent and reasonably priced. I'll be booking my wife's car in for a service tomorrow.
On two occasions Ross Davidson have gone above and beyond.
I have a Mazda station wagon and was experiencing multiple warning lights. I had Mazda themselves tell me I needed a part that would cost $5,000 plus it was a six month wait from Japan.
I also used a mobile mechanic and he advised me I needed a new DPF.
I booked in with Ross Davidson who attempted multiple DPF regenerations and it was a success.
Second time I had an urgent issue with the Mass Air Filter sensor in which the team took me in urgently and was able to get the part and fix.
Overall I have dealt with many mechanics over the years and Ross Davidson is the only one who clearly and patiently explains (in laymen terms) the issues to their customers as opposed to condescending tones from other mechanics assuming you know what they are talking about.
In short Ross and his team are genuine, hard working and honest mechanics in which I would highly recommend, especially if you need a second opinion.

Great integrity and workmanship. They do things properly. They are not expensive either. By integrity I mean that they actually perform the work they are charging you for (which a lot of them don't do...) AND they do it properly. In the medium term you will be well ahead on the $$$ because your car will have been properly serviced instead of getting the bum's rush. Great work Ross, you are indeed a dying breed.
Mechanic and admin staff absolutely stuffed us around for 2 days and didn’t get the job done. Still charged for labour and were extremely disrespectful and unprofessional behaviour. Do not recommended, avoid this place even if it’s your only choice.

Total legend! My team member got stranded nearby, 2.5 hours from home. Ross picked up the car, had it diagnosed & booked in for repair the very next morning. Amazing service - above and beyond. Highly recommend!

Nice to have an honest mechanic that you can trust to not rip you off! Need to book in advance though, which is a good thing. Ross is honest, reliable and helpful.
