About a year ago in March I had a pipe burst upstairs and run for about 24 hrs. completely destroying an upstairs bedroom, and downstairs living room, kitchen and office area in my farm house office site. After several months of cleanup and drying out by Servpro. Roots Decks & Remodels had the overwhelming task of coming into an old farm house trashed by water damage and attempt to rebuild all the aforementioned rooms from scratch. Keep in mind old farm house structures are far from square to begin with. To start with, all the guys working on this project were kind, courteous and respectful. Each person seemed to have a specific skill they were good at, i.e.; window installation, flooring, drywall, electrical, etc. I was very happy with the quality of the work and timeliness for completing every phase of the job. They cleaned up around the area everyday after completing the work. I couldn't ask for more than what Roots Decks & Remodels did to transform this water damaged mess into a great looking place. I hate to give them a good recommendation because they may get too much work preventing me from getting them back to do some future jobs for me! Just kidding and I highly recommend Roots Decks & Docks for any project you may have.

I would highly recommend Roots Decks and Remodels. They promptly replied to all communication and came to do the work when promised. Mitchel did an excellent job repairing drywall and matching the paint color. They also repaired a water damaged wood floor and it looks perfect.

We have an apartment building with large porches on all three floors overlooking Seneca Lake. Roots came to replace the flooring and railings. However, Once the flooring was removed - extensive rot was found in most of the supporting structure. Roots called in an engineer and the job became a major overhaul. We gained full confidence in their ability to take on such a large project and restore the porches to a level much better than they ever were!! The finishes Ben, Joe and Junior came up with were high quality and look amazing - much better than we imagined. I would highly recommend the whole team and thank them for their excellent work!!

Roots did an outstanding job during their remodel of our historical (1874) Victorian home! Work done included front stairway upstairs and downstairs, repainted kitchen with updated color scheme, repaired and repainted ceiling and detailed trim of our main parlor. The workmanship and attention to detail were excellent and the individuals during their remodel work were above board in every way. They often checked with us for feedback to ensure we liked the job and were very friendly and focused on their task. The price was very reasonable especially considering the quality of job that was done. Thanks to Eric, Junior and their team for making our home interior look great.

Eric was awesome from the first interaction and very professional. Helped us out of a bind in between jobs they had going on so it was pretty perfect timing. They completely rebuild our deck at our property on short notice for a fair price. Ben who was onsite took photos each day for us to show progress and everything that was being installed. We had Roots Handyman Services repair the gutters on our new home, and mount snow breaks on the metal roof that should have happened when the first homeowners had the roof installed. Instead, we had to get the gutters repaired because the snow build up (from lack of snow breaks) put too much pressure on the gutters. I want to give this a 5 Star review. However, I think 4 is valid because the handymen who came to mount the snow breaks and fixed the gutters decided not to go a little above and beyond during their visit. It might have taken another half hour (maybe 45 minutes) to clean the gutters BEFORE they repaired them. Instead, when it was all done, they said, "hey, your gutters are full of silt and pine needles, you might want to get those cleaned out." One handyman even showed me a little tree he had plucked growing in the gutter. Times have changed. I know if I was up there I would have just cleaned the gutters because I KNOW the additional weight on the gutters from the sediment puts stress on the bolts. BUT they were more interested in getting the work done and moving on. Was the gutter cleaning included in the estimate? No. BUT sometimes you need to tie a shoe so you don't trip. Taking a little extra time and saying, "By the way, we went ahead and cleaned your gutters," will make a far bigger impact on future business. I won't be calling them back for more business. And I need a gutter cleaning service now (another added expense). What happened to just doing the right thing while no one is looking? Oh, I know. Integrity isn't part of a business model.

Eric & the Roots Handyman Services team recently corrected several issues with my garage roof, soffit, fascia boards, & exposed wood around the door frames. I now have a beautiful new metal roof, new soffit, covered fascia boards & door frames, as well as gutters that are now hung correctly. The work was started earlier than planned & finished in a few days. Eric & his team are skilled, efficient, thorough, resourceful, & very professional. Communication was excellent from beginning to end of project. I asked for an up front, honest approach, & that is exactly what I got from this team.
