Altay de Roots est un guide merveilleux qui connaît la région comme la paume de sa main. Grace à son savoir-faire et l’écoute de nos besoins, il nous a concocté une visite d’Ephese, Priene et Laodicea et des environs de Kaplankaya où il s’est posé, ainsi qu’une escapade à Samos à la carte. Délicieux restaurants, rencontre inédite avec un chasseur de truffes, baignade dans un belle baie… je le recommande chaudement !
As an event producer and avid traveler, I am often picky with experiences. That said, I have been incredibly impressed by the level of detail and care that Roots Adventure Travel puts into the experiences they design. From the start, the information provided is very clear and just enough to prepare, while leaving space for delightful surprises. Bike trails I have done with Roots are the perfect amount of challenge and achievement for the groups I've traveled with. When it comes to food, Roots not only has an amazing chef (preparing everything from energy balls to unique dining experiences in nature), but also knows the most spectacular restaurants to land in after long bike rides (food and scenery included in the word "spectacular"!) We had a fantastic guided long weekend trip in Latmos with Altay and team. We mountain biked for 2 days and trekked one day on unmarked ancient routes. We even saw a cave with prehistoric paintings along the route. We glamped one of the nights, which the team, including the fantastic cook Rikki and the excellent event organiser Melek made an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended!
An Unforgettable Two Day Escape with Roots Adventure Travel in Latmos
I recently joined a two day exclusive camping experience with Roots Adventure Travel in the mystical landscapes of Latmos, and I can confidently say it exceeded every expectation.
What sets this adventure apart is the perfect balance between professionalism and heartfelt hospitality. Our group consisted of seven participants, some experienced campers, and others like myself who had never camped before. Yet, the experience was thoughtfully designed to cater to all levels. Every detail was clearly well planned, creating a seamless and comfortable journey for everyone.
The ones who joined the trekking and cycling routes said that they were curated with great careoffering. All of us enjoyed the breathtaking views. Each stop along the way was marked by beautifully arranged, healthy treats and refreshing drinks such as chilled white tea and hibiscus infusions. Small touches always made a big difference.
The campsite itself was something out of a dream. The tents were impeccably arranged, comfortable, and full of small luxuries that made it feel like a boutique outdoor retreat. It’s something that must be experienced.
Special thanks to Altay, whose knowledge of the area and warm, engaging presence truly elevated the entire experience. His guidance made it easy to lose ourselves in the magic of the landscape and live fully in the moment.
Chef Ricky prepared a private dinner menu that was simply outstanding, every dish was flavorful, nourishing, and beautifully presented. Hats off to her for delivering such a memorable meal in the heart of nature.
I’d also like to acknowledge Melek, Selda, and Mehmet, each of them incredibly skilled, warm, and attentive throughout the experience. Their professionalism and genuine kindness added so much to the journey.
I came with hesitation and left with a full heart, already missing the serenity and soul of Latmos. If you’re looking for a truly special, immersive, and enriching nature experience, this is definitely it.

The bikes were a pleasure — even for inexperienced riders . Our tours of the villages amd the ancient citéis were so carefully planned that we had two of the places to ourselves . Their expertise , wqrmth, and grace made every mile md every minute of the adventure a pleasure

I’ve been on two of the best bike trips of my entire life with roots adventure travel! There was nothing that we needed that they could not provide throughout these epic adventures throughout the Spanish islands and throughout the Greek islands on incredible e-mountain bikes. They found the best restaurants, the best hotels, and of course, the best bike routes! My crew and I have another trip planned with them for this coming summer in the northern Greek islands. Truly living my best life with their help!
Our excursions with the team at Roots Adventure Travel were the highlights of our trip. Their location close to the Six Senses Kaplankaya made it very convenient to arrange activities in the morning and return to enjoy the resort in the afternoon. We hiked the beautiful landscape in Latmos on one day, and the next day did an e-bike ride that took us to the Temple of Apollo, the ancient city of Miletus, and the nearby coastal areas. Altay is an excellent guide, and our experience was top-notch from start to finish.
Had the most extraordinary curated bike trip to the Greek islands with Roots. Every detail was perfect from the unexplored trails to the best restaurants and places to say. Can’t recommend how great a Roots adventure is!!!
Just ended another amazing weekend at Olympos this time with my favorite travel guides! Starting the day with yoga, cycling in nature, walking in history, new friendships, exploration for kids with fun… I feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to live it all to the fullest in just 3 days. Altay and Rikki, Duygu, Egemen thank you very much for the energy of your team and your efforts to always offer us the best. Mostly thank you Dean, the kids were truly happy and learned what we wouldn't be able to teach with that much fun and I would had doubt to trust on anyone but MusTafa for the amazing rock climbing. My 8 year old daughter literally climbed! Finally, last night was the signature of the weekend. Looking forward to many others all together…
