I can’t believe I’m only just now discovering this incredible GEM in our community.
I’m currently 38 weeks pregnant and found Rooted Community Acupuncture because I had heard from many people how helpful acupuncture can be for preparing the body for labor. I booked a session with Saja, who specializes in pregnancy prep, and from the moment I met her, I absolutely loved her energy and her dedication to helping people.
She is such a wonderful soul, and you can immediately tell how much she genuinely loves what she does and cares about the people she treats. I’ve only had one session so far, and I’m already planning to go back three more times next week as I get closer to delivery.
What I also love is that she treats so many different conditions and concerns. I’ve already told three people about her because I truly feel like she could help so many people.
The space (which is hidden in a strip mall of buildings) is beautiful, peaceful, calm and incredibly relaxing. And as someone who loves supporting small local businesses, I especially appreciate what Saja has created here!
One of the things that impressed me most is that Rooted offers a sliding scale, pay-what-you-can-afford model. Since so many people don’t have acupuncture coverage through insurance, she has made a real effort to keep her services accessible to people at different income levels. I think that says so much about her and how passionate she is about helping people. <3

From my very first visit, I was impressed by how kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable everyone was. They took the time to listen to my concerns, recommended the right herbs for my needs, and provided a very soothing treatment that left me feeling relaxed.

So relieved to found such a compassionate, community and calming space. Very DEI inclusive. Very attuned. Very aware. There was so much thought and care into treatment for myself and my son. This was my very first experience with acupuncture, but Saja put me at ease right away. I was hopeful but skeptical that a needle in my finger or ear could help my knee or my insomnia.
But then I woke up the next morning having slept through the night and my knee felt better than it has in weeks. I have already booked my next two sessions, it definitely works.
Its a comfortable environment, Saja is a kind, lovely and extremely present practitioner and offers sliding scale payment to make acupuncture an accessible option to more folks.
