I had 2 excellent experiences with Ron Jon out of East Hanover, NJ. Number 1 - they replaced our boiler which was no small job. It works great and they showed me how to really care for it properly. Number 2 - they helped us with another heat and hot water issue that happened suddenly. We had a water leak that impacted the motherboard on the hot water heater and took out the boiler at the same time. They came right away, ordered the parts and fixed it efficiently.

Had my heater stop working. Had one crew out who got it working for a day. Called RonJon and they had a guy out the same day. Told me the news I was expecting of needing a new unit and they were able to install the next day. They handle all the permits and everything. Everyone there when you call is super helpful. Highly recommend going with them or at least calling them when you are getting estimates. Honest and reliable.

Buyer beware!!! First, the staff are very nice. That’s the end of the positive review. I was lied to regarding the services provided, and totally overcharged, and since they “serviced” my Navien tankless combo unit, and relocated piping, the pressure now runs high, tripping the release valve, and the hot water goes cold intermittently. Not sure of the cause, so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt. However, they said that they serviced the unit and gave me a list of all the things they supposedly did. The authorized Navien service guy today said there is no way it was serviced. There are only a couple of things you do, cleaning the filters is one, and flushing it with chemicals the other - they did NEITHER, but charged me for it. $1600 later, and I had to pay $2100 today to do what they said they did. Stay away.

On one of the coldest days of the year our furnace decided to malfunction. I spoke with Danielle in the office (who was amazing) and she had service tech Juan at our house within 2 hours. Juan was knowledgeable, patient, detailed, and explained everything along the way. The job was done and our house was warm again in under an hour. Wouldn't hesitate to use Ron Jon again for any service/repair/maintenance needs, and they all seem like great people to boot!

During the most recent snow storm our furnace started acting strange. We called at 9pm at night for no other reason than to get in their queue for the next day. Their answering service was terrific and we received a phone call back from Ron Jon quickly giving us expectations about the next day as well as recommendations as to what we could do to keep some heat for the evening. It worked and they arrived the next day to check and fix our furnace with efficiency and friendliness. I would HIGHLY recommend them for all your needs.

Very disappointing recent experiences. The first was regarding an ac unit that wasn’t cooling. The tech said “it was just too hot out” and that it couldn’t get 20* below the temperature outside. I’ve been in the house 9 years…never had an issue. Still charged me for the service. 3 days later I had to pay a different company for emergency service when the unit stopped working. Come to find out the capacitor needed to be replaced. I had been a customer for years so I gave them the benefit of the doubt and scheduled my boiler service that winter. Tech spent 10 min looking at the boiler, did nothing, went out to his truck and talked on the phone then told me I need a new unit and gave me a quote after speaking to the office. Again charged me $230 for service not done. Had two other companies come out for quotes and tell me the boiler did not need to be replaced. When I wrote to the office they denied it, said the boiler needed to be replaced and refused to refund me for services not rendered bc the tech sat in his truck long enough to fool the office. Once again I had to pay another company to come out for maintenance of something I already paid Ron Jon for…

Ron Jon has replaced two furnaces and one A/C unit for us over the past 9 years. They are easy to work with, set clear expectations, are responsive, and follow up to ensure satisfaction. They are not the lowest price out there, but you get what you pay for. On our most recent install, the team noted two things that needed repair outside the scope of work and fixed them at no additional charge. When there was a question about sizing of a new furnace and code compliance, Todd came to the house to ensure we made the right choice the first time. The office staff is lovely and juggled their schedule to get the team on-site the following day so we could have heat asap. Every employee has been polite, clean (drop cloths and booties) and willing to satisfy my (admittedly high) standards.
