The Horror My experience with Roadway Moving can only be described as a nightmare of incompetence, dishonesty, and disrespect towards everyone else involved. From start to finish, their service was a disaster. The only caveat were the movers who were delightful and efficient, turns out they were independent contractors, so the only upside wasn't even provided by Roadway Moving. Let's start with their salespeople. Initially, they were charming and persuasive, promising the world in terms of service and pricing. However, once the contract was signed, their demeanor changed entirely. Suddenly, they were unreachable, conveniently forgetting all the assurances they made during the sales pitch. Such as assuring me that I would get four movers and only providing two, pocketing my prepaid tip to the movers and only giving less than half. It quickly became evident that their primary goal was to secure the sale, not to provide honest and reliable information. The management at Roadway Moving is equally culpable. They not only condone but seemingly encourage deceptive practices. Issues that arose during the moving process were met with indifference and deflection. They displayed a complete lack of accountability for their team's actions and consistently failed to address customer concerns in a timely or satisfactory manner. When they did reach out, they made vague promises and never followed back up. As if this wasn't bad enough, Roadway Moving had the audacity to levy wrongful charges against me of over $7,000 pushing me past my spending limit and leaving me unable to purchase food for an entire weekend. When questioned, they provided convoluted explanations that contradicted their own contract terms. I still have yet to be refunded my "deposit" for the moving date, which now feels like a blatant attempt to squeeze more money out of me after I was already at their mercy. In conclusion, Roadway Moving epitomizes everything that is wrong with the moving industry. Their salespeople are deceptive, their management is negligent, their follow-through is nonexistent, and their billing practices are exploitative. If you value your sanity, belongings, and hard-earned money, steer clear of Roadway Moving. They are a disgrace to the concept of customer service and should be avoided at all costs.
