We did a three day trip down the Deschutes. It honestly couldn't have been better. Hayley and Johnny, our two guides where thoughtful, professional, knowledge, patient, and fun to hang with. They took great care of us from start to finish, even in small details like how to talk to our anxious son without making him feel like he was the youngest. The food was good and the gear we rented did the trick. Would love to so this again, we made great memories. Thank you Hayley and Johnny!

Went on a half day trip down through Maupin. It was my first time rafting that part of the Deschute's. It was beautiful, relatively relaxed and a lot of fun.
Our guide was Carter, who was great. He had a lot of fun activities and games to play during the slower bits of the float. His sense of humor was tested and approved by our squad of dad jokesters.
My only feedback point I'd give is the safety talk/offering of safety gear was a little too relaxed. While this part of the Deschute's only reaches a class 4 once. There were actions taken by some of the goofier riders that could've turned a harmless joke into a crappy situation for everyone. Takes only a Chad lacking the appropriate gear showing off for the ladies to ruin a good time.

We had an amazing time on our River Drifters white water rafting trip! The rapids were so fun and honestly a bit more intense than I expected at times, but none of us ever felt unsafe. Our guide (Chris) was amazing - super friendly, personable, funny, patient, and knowledgeable. We were lucky to have had the raft to just our group of four people - two female adults and two teenage boys, along with our guide. The trip was the perfect length for us (we did the half day) and the weather was perfect (90+ degree day, but felt nice and cool on the river). The boys loved being able to sit on the front of the raft during some of the big rapids and they even got to stand up on the raft as we went through one of the smaller rapids. The boys also had the opportunity to jump into the water several times along the way. Also, just in case it's helpful - the two female adults in our group are not in tip-top shape (ha!) and we wondered if the rafting trip would be hard for us or if we'd fall out of the raft. It wasn't and we DIDN'T (yay!). Bonus - they had a photographer on land who took a ton of photos of each raft during the trip for purchase after the trip! I highly recommend booking a rafting trip through River Drifters on the Deschutes River. You won't regret it!

Seven of us just went on a three night, four day white water rafting trip down the Rogue River in oregon. We cannot say enough about how wonderful this trip was, and how great River Drifters is. The river itself is one of the greatvScenic rivers in the United States, and our guides Ty, Paris, and Nate were amazing! We were nervous about camping, I am 70 years old, but the sleeping mats and Tents were very comfortable, and the adventuresome part of it for us city Folk was fun. Food was great, guides put safety as number one for us on the river, and both the modest rapids, and the amazing scenery both flora and fauna, added to the trip.
There was a little bit of an issue with the tarp because you do need sun shade, but that's my only critique. We highly recommend River Drifters and the Rogue river.

Fun and enjoyable experience! Our guides Brody and Jaida were great! We had several age levels in the boat and everyone felt safe while experiencing the thrills of the rapids. The views were incredible as well. We want to try the overnight experience next time. Thank you!

This was SO FUN! The stretch of the Deschutes has lots of cool parts that made it a unique experience. All the river guides were very knowledgeable of the river and made it a safe and exciting trip. They give you the option to take more "risky" routes if your group is all on board and it was so worth it! My group went with Wilson and Caleb and they were awesome. I recommend the full-day as it comes with lunch and a mini excursion to some natural water slides! Definitely wear strapped sandals or water shoes and bring lots of sunscreen. This is a must-do if you're looking for an adventure!

My twin got Covid last year with 104 degree fever the day before our trip. They graciously gave us a credit for the next year. We tried to rebook this year and they only gave us one week worth of dates to schedule for the following week. They said they left us a voice message that it had to be used by July 15th. I never received the message. I ask for a little flexibility since they only gave us one week notice to book with only one week availability. I offered to pay a rescheduling fee for different date options. My twin can’t make it so I informed them they could sell his spot to profit. I offered to downgrade to a two day trip. They offered zero flexibility with no compromising. Only gave me the first week of July during the week to schedule with zero flexibility. Hundreds of dollars down the drain. Bad business. If you have an emergency you won’t get your money back.

I am writing to express my regret that we were unable to find a suitable date for your trip. As a small, seasonal business, our summer overnight trips all sell out, leaving us with very limited availability. At this time of writing this you still even have 3.5 weeks to redeem on any trip but have chosen not to.
Our cancellation policies are clearly outlined and are designed to be among the most lenient in the industry. We also strongly recommend purchasing trip insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances such as this.
Canceling a multi-day trip the day before the departure date would unfortunately result in no refund from any company. We previously extended the opportunity for you to go on your trip for an additional 11 and a half months, and we are unable to extend it further. Below is our stated cancellation policy that is well informed and agreed upon before booking any overnight trip.
Deschutes River Multi - Day Cancellation Policy Please understand that when a reservation is made with River Drifters, it is a commitment for us to hold space for you and we can (and do) turn away others from that particular date. If you decide to cancel, it can be difficult for us to book someone else on that trip, especially if cancellations are made close to the departure date. With this in mind, we must be firm to the following policy.Deschutes River Multi-day trips: A $50/person cancellation fee will be assessed on any Deschutes multi-day trip cancellation. If the cancellation is made during that Two Week period, a 50% per person fee will be charged. No shows or cancellations made 1 WEEK prior to trip departure are subject to the entire trip price. However, you may substitute another person, with no penalty. OR you may transfer the trip to another date within the same rafting season. Any date transfers must be made within 7 days prior to trip departure.Normally all of our trips are a go, rain or shine. Once in a while, due to unsafe circumstances, River Drifters must cancel, reschedule or transfer a trip.
